I would say that if they got one more player for SG that would have been awesome, more correctly get a proper one instead of someone else. I mean think about it, they could play Westbrook, Lebron, Melo, AD all together a fifth person that is as star as those names would make things so much better.

Avery Bradley is unsigned but he is a defensive specialist. Danny Green also signed with the 76ers for a 2 year deal $20m. Lakers will have a hard time looking for that kind of role.

I think it's just because LBJ and Dudley had good connection already and it hurts him to not see Dudley in their bench anymore for other kinds of support.

Yes, he deserved that. He's the only player I think that averaging 40+ points per game but his team always loses last season. He is almost close to a franchise player and his loyalty paid off.

But Wizards shouldn't stop on that. They are far from being a contender in a much weaker Eastern Conference. They should try to acquire a big name on the free agency or try negotiating with other teams.

Wizard should do that, Beal alone can't carry this team but having another star that will help him will do.

But they have to be surrounded by role players who will really have a good impact to the team,
Big contract means nothing if there's no improvement.

I use to remember the Spurs back then, where stars are willing to earn much lesser for the sake
of being a title contender.

Getting such a contract is a great success for any player. This is a really big and nice new home.

I guess Wizards really value what Beal is giving to them in the last couple of years. He was close to winning the scoring title last season if not for Curry's amazing scoring run.

I guess what they needed is another superstar to really help him. Westbrook provided that spark, but it was not enough as they are playing in the same position. Probably another good power forward or center would do a lot of help to at least bring the Wizards to the playoffs again next season or even get the hump over first round.

Pat Beverly is still not settled in a team yet? lol. I think no one wants this guy anymore, but sure if he will be traded with the Lakers and he would play what the team's needed him to play, then for sure he might stay for a while, and who knows, he might also win a championship.

Patrick Beverley was traded to the Timberwolves one week ago. I don't know if the Wolves have a plan to trade him, but it seems that he is still not added to their roster. Regarding the Lakers, I guess they would rather sign Isaiah Thomas than Pat.

The chance for Thomas is much bigger than Pat being acquired by Lakers, LeBron is more interested with how Isaiah will help them
giving some additional offensive threats.

Though still an open deal for Lakers if they see some value for Pat which can be use as a good defensive stoppers.

Thomas has never been the same since his injury in Boston and Pat Bev is still one of the elite defenders of the NBA. LeBron wants to win above all else. I doubt he’d want IT over Bev. It would be a good move for the Lakers to show they treat players much better than Boston…

After all that IT is still a good player if he could rehab and get his minutes, slowly he will build himself to a good level and be great. I would say that give him thousand shots a day everyday from now until playoffs and you will have yourself a great shooter for lebron and westbrook to pass outside, and he is definitely a good enough one right now, just needs some reps. PatBev on the other hand is just a locker room cancer, dude is hated wherever he goes, dude is just an annoying little brat, I wouldn't want him on my team even if he was free.

Well, it looks like that the Wizards are fully committed in keeping Beal for 5 years.
Beal also promised that he will improve on his 3 point shooting and low post scoring. Another one is that the Wizards don't have any superstar like Beal but maybe, just maybe we can see rising players from the Wizards that will help him all throughout the season.

Now that Westbrook isn't on the Wizards anymore, Beal has all the time to create his own shots. He is the first option of the team and giving him the possible biggest contract in NBA history might happen. Lets see though because we might see some last minute changes .

I believed Lebron has nothing to do with that. He won't influence that signing since they are already complete. Lakers' GM has the final say on that. Either Pat or IT, I think no one from them will become a starter. It's like the Lakers are now just filling the empty slots on the backup side so any players will do depends on the contract.

The Lakers should enhance Caruso and try to be the best backup for Russell Westbrook, not Pat or IT. He's not a scorer type but more of passing skills. He is also athletic but needs more consistency. That's what the Lakers need.

IMO Westbrook's been a great add for the LA Lakers. He has already played with superstars, he played with the likes of KD, James Harden, Bradley Beal and that's not gonna be a problem for him.
He was underestimated for too long because Russell will probably give LA at least 15 points per night and lots of rebounds. Lakers stands for his great once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed.

Isaiah Thomas is just a literal backup now. Not a shooter or playmaker anymore. His skill and talent before are now gone even during back when he is on Cleveland Cavaliers. Pat Beverly is much good but I don't think he and Lebron will make chemistry. This guy is like Dennis Schroder.

And, we'd be surprised that two of them wasn't able to make on the Lakers roster (oops! spoiler alert*). Aren't they have tons of SG and PG in the current roster? I do believe that IT still has "some" talent left, I do not think that he is the same guy as he was on Celtics of course (which I agree was a horrible move) but that doesn't change the fact that he is still better than PatBev, that is the discussion here. I would get IT in a heartbeat, I wouldn't get PatBev, plus Lakers locker room is filled with people who are both friends and very charming people who are always loving and having fun and laughing, with the addition of PatBev that will be ruining everything, dude is just out there looking for a fight and keeps on annoying people, I do not think that Lakers need a fighter, that would ruin the chemistry of the team, so I literally would prefer not getting anyone, instead of getting PatBev, he is a net negative when all things considered.

He can give some quality minutes indeed, as a player it's a pleasure to come back and do what you really loves doing in your life, Thomas is a baller and he will appreciate whatever comes up from the Lakers just to give him another shot playing to this league.

His main goal at the moment is to return to the NBA. So I think Thomas will be happy even if the Lakers or any other teams offer him a 1-year contract with a minimum salary. By the way, it seems that IT is still a good scorer, considering that he was able to score 81 points in a pro-am league game a couple of weeks ago.
