Nice to see that Kyrie Irving is still his same toxic self.  After a myriad of wild antics last year it seems the Nets have decided that they might want to move on from the diva guard.  In response to the Nets showing an interest in trading Kyrie, his agent has come out and said publicly that Kyrie will retire before playing with another team, seeming to tank his trade value and force the Nets to keep him on the roster.  Today Kyrie tweeted, My mask is off. Now take yours off. No fear.  He then clarified that this had nothing to do with Covid.  Assumingly, this is his response to the team's trade desire and him playing his "retirement" card.  

Wow. He is really full of himself. I understand why he doesn't want the Nets to let him go, he want to prove himself first putting the Nets to a championship game so that his value will go up again. Because right now, if they let him go, his value will surely go down due to injuries and that bad playoffs event against the Bucks.
His agent is wise also saving his ass from losing a lot of money, use the retirement card because this means like a buyout, right? Correct me if I am wrong.

Smart move by Irving, but not too smart to help the team win a championship, with his attitude, there's no way he will win a championship again, and with this news, I think the NBA championship betting odds will change and will make the LA Lakers be the favorites to win the championships. I'm convince now that the Nets really has a problem and that is Irving, he just want to showcase his personal ability, not really a way to jive with the team to build a chemistry.

There's no more pride on the star players of the NBA, they were idolized by the fans with the way they play but they seem to become a toxic and try to play in a legal way just to seek more money. I know this is business, but being a star player, one should become a model and maintain his reputation until he retires.

He is only 29 years old and he still has more seasons to play, I would say he is still in his prime right now, the only problem is he gets easily injured.

Kyrie has always been a horrible person, not saying he is a bad basketball player, he is a good basketball player but he was always a weird one. Maybe we should be calling him that as his nickname? Instead of "the chosen one" we should make it like "the weird one", I can think of all the memes joking about him .

I would say that there is a good chance we could see him ousted from the league very soon, if he can't deal with Nets and become a better locker room person and actually provide something to the team, then he is going to be bought out and fired basically, some other teams will give it a chance but he would be way too out of control after that and he would be ousted from the league even though he could still play. No way any team would get a good player if he has a horrible personality, Kyrie is not MJ or Kobe, he needs to be at least decent.

Lol! Anger management. . Kyrie seems to have that issue that's why he cannot appreciate the opportunity that he has. Back when he was still a rookie, he challenge Kobe in their game and he was playing Kobe one on one, and he was really good although he lost in that battle. I never thought he would grow like an entitled man, thinking that he is the best player in the NBA and he deserves what he wants.

I get it, he already won a championship, but that was because Lebron joined back the Cavaliers back then and he can never win a championship without a player better than him in the same team.

I strongly agree about Kyrie's greatness. He is one of the top players in the league and dangerous agility type pointguards with unpredictable moves.
It's a rare thing to happen in the league and we may not see another like him for a lot of years.
But the damage that he is doing whenever he leaves a team is something that is not easy to ignore. Upon arriving at Nets with KD he already thrown a lot of stone from his previous teams making them look bad at handling him. He may have the skill to boast but it's getting deep in his head.

They can't just trade Kyrie Irving. He still has 2 years left in the contract that amounting to a decent value.

In the upcoming season, as per my research on the web, Irving will earn a base salary of $34,916,200 and an incentive bonus of $412,500. No teams will afford to risk that amount for Kyrie now.

The best thing to do for the Nets is, if they can still tolerate him, wait for next season as Irving will have his player option. It's good to decide coming from Irving itself that he won't play for the Nets.
