There is really a possibility for Lakers to miss the playoffs. Maybe it is not a very big possibility but Lakers can really miss their chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They are five wins above the border to qualify. As long as they maintain a good streak, they can keep themselves safe. Maybe they would have to play more games in the playoffs but at least they wouldn't say goodbye to this season very early. Now they have a big hindrance ahead of them which is Nets. I really am curious about what they will do in this game.

DeRozan, LaVine and Vucevic needs to step up for now and lead the team while Caruso and Lonzo Ball won't be available for an estimated 6 to 8 weeks.
There's no need to tell them what they nee to do since they have been doing that since the start of the season. They are the main reason why the Bulls is in this position.

I don't see other teams from the bottom of the table to kick them out of the last playoff spot. I was hoping the Spurs would make it but they couldn't keep their good run.

Anthony Davis upgraded to probable for Lakers vs. Nets
Anthony Davis is likely going to make his return against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, according to the Lakers’ injury report.

Wait for the live game maybe, then put some bet on the Lakers as they should do better with Davis playing.

They will need to do better when Davis comes back for the game or else they'll either fall for the play-in or totally miss the playoffs this year and that's very embarrassing to consider how strong they are in paper.
Well, there will be a significant changes in odds for the Lakers vs Nets If Davis would be able to play for the coming game.
I hope he will and I guess Kyrie will not play for Nets home games right? How unfortunate lol.

AD needs to help if he wants to continue their chase for the title. It's a rough road now for the Lakers, but not end yet.

They still have games to play and give them good rally to win each game when AD perform the way he did back when they won the title.

The impact that he can bring is very big. The duo of him and LeBron is more powerful compared to other duo's from this league, but it's

A disappointment from the fans if they will be eliminated much earlier.

They shouldn't rely on AD only as they have superstars on their team, what they need is to make their piece work together. We know AD is now injury prone so best for the coaching staff to create multiple good plays for their other stars so that they can maximize their game plays. Its a big shame for them if they cannot climb up to playoffs knowing that they recruit to many strong players to their team for sure many will laugh at them if that happen.

There is not much time left for the Brooklyn Nets - Los Angeles Lakers to be underway. I wonder what Nets will do without Irving and Harden both in this game. Harden will have to do the most of the job but I hope that they have a good teamplay. Otherwise, it doesn't seem likely that they can win this game. Actually, Lakers are also carried by Lebron most of the time but sometimes Westbrook are contributing really big too. They really feel Davis' absence now but he seems to be back from his injury. If he plays also, then maybe they could manage to win this game.

You don't have to worry about Brookly Nets. They are in good hands even without Kyrie. Actually, they are now used to playing when he's not present.

You have to worry though for the Lakers since they are all problems. Even Anthony Davis will be back, if they will not change their performance, they will be in the tight spot for the upcoming playoffs. It's challenging to be part of the play-in tournament and the Lakers will again have the chance to undergo with it.

Nice to see Anthony Davis back on the floor. He only got 8 points but did manage a highlight alley oop play. LeBron was the story of the game though. Without Durant on the floor it was clear that LeBron was the best on the court all night long as he put up 33 points. Westbrook managed to shoot 50% from the floor also. When he’s not missing everything the Lakers aren’t bad. Lots of John Wall for Westbrook trade rumors out there anyway… Now for the Warriors game…

Looks like Davis' performance wasn't impressive in this match, but maybe he just needs a couple of games to get back in shape after his injury. By the way, you forgot about Monk. This guy scored 22 points, including 6 of 12 three-pointers. I think he was more helpful than Westbrook in this match.

So another impressive numbers coming from Lebron. He really needs to put up that numbers though to keep the team afloat in this season.

At least Davis is back, but he needs to have some game though to completely be on his former self before the injury. So it's a big boost and hopefully the Lakers starts to make a winning streak.

We will have to wait and see about the Davis comeback. When Klay plays we see some rust in him, but he slowly gets back and hitting his outside shot in the next couple of games. So I'm expecting the same with Davis, and he just need to take the time and not force himself.

And it's good to see them winning against the Nets, but obviously, this is just be beginning for the Lakers. They are still in the bad position this season. And they need to at least stay at the 6th position for me just to be safe for the playoffs.

They should not pay attention to the trade because Westbrook has already fit in the team anyway. What they need to do right now is fix their rotation because finally, AD is back on the court again with LBJ and others. They could land a playoff spot if they continue winning games like this even though they are playing against one of the current best teams in the NBA today. If they would not trade or sign off their players after they won a championship last 2020, they would still be the strongest team until today. no more trading, this year just fixing the rotations and giving more minutes to Westbrook.

Seeing Davis back gives a lot of boosts, though his productions are not as his usual but better than his not on the floor.

Give him some more games and we will see improvements if no new injury would happen to him. They've
got this one from the Nets harden can't handle Both LeBron and Russ but still provide impressive lift
to keep that distance not too far. 33 points 11 asst. and 12 rebs. what a MVP performance from the Beard!

The Clippers comeback was absolutely insane.

I'm not sure what Wes Unseld Jr. was thinking when he had Dinwiddie out there without much of a hot hand. And at the end of the game, everyone just seemed exhausted and there was a total collapse - even when the Clips are playing literally their third stringers.

Kennard was absolutely godly. But when this random player Amir Coffey is dropping nearly 30 points on you, there's something wrong with your Defence.

Well, that was expected since he just came back from injury. His presence on the court lift up the morale of the team and getting the victory against the short-handed Nets without Durant and Irving.

With regards to Monk, nobody is talking to this player. Like there are times where he is scoring 20 points or more in some of their games and for me, I think the Lakers should develop Monk because he can be a perfect shooting guard of the team. Him and Westbrook can be a good frontcourt duos but lets see how Monk goes. I just hope that he would be more consistent in terms of points because there are times where he only score 10 points or lower and there are times where he is scoring 20+ points.

The result of the Nets - Lakers game didn't surprise me. Nets were lacking Durant and Irving and Harden tried to carry the team by himself as a result. Lakers were the better performing side as a team and they got what they wanted. We watched a great rivalry between Harden and Lebron. Both of them got 33 points but Harden's statistics was a little more impressive. He made a triple-double by 12 rebounds and 11 assists too. But  the contribution of the other players at Nets was really low and this caused them to lose the game by 96-106 home.

^ I think you are right. Even though a few matches back, Westbrook was on a bad form for a couple of games but seems like slowly he has found his rhythm back and that is a good sign for the Lakers.

He's performing now on a consistent level and since Davis is back, it will give them the much-needed confidence and the skills needed on the pitch. Also, AD needs to be played carefully as he's very injury-prone. The coach needs to play a bigger role over here.

No doubt about Monk, when they have a run like 4-5 games winning streak, I think he averages around 18 ppg during that run. However, when the Lakers started to lost again, nowhere you can find Monk scoring double digits as he struggles.

So what I'm trying to drive up is that he needs to be consistent day in day out and help Lebron. Like THT, he has some good games, but he only has a streak wherein he can't even hit a 3 point even if he has a good looks.

I guess we have the answer now, without Durant and Irving, Harden has difficulty carrying the team. And then Lebron had a good game and some players already step up and give Lebron some help. I think winning against the Nets might give Lakers some boost of confidence. I know the Nets are not complete, but the Lakers needed some win and it's on the expense of a top team.

AD was playing limited minutes and probably still figuring out how to get back on track with his shooting range and percentage. I've seen him at one point in the fourth quarter where his body language tells a frustrations after missing a jumper which he usually sinks.
The Lakers pulled a huge win and that's because LeBron once again step up in the 4th quarter including those 2 big steals and a slam that extended the lead to 15 points.

Now for the Warriors game…
Warriors won big time. Klay Thompson sinking most of his 3 point shots like a flash back of splash brothers. The first 3 shots was perfect until he missed 2 of them. I like how Steve Kerr is not rushing anything. Just play some minutes, heat up then go back to rest. Almost like he is still in recovery. Maybe, mentally.
However, Steph Curry after breaking the record is still having issues with his outside shots. He tried mid range and it's working so I guess he should stay there for a while until he acquire his powers back.  Grin
