I was also impressed with how Yuki Kawamura plays during this pre-season. He's really impressing the team, the management and his teammates. I would love to cheer for him if ever the Grizzlies will give him a better and more decent contract for the regular saeson.

Yuki Kawamura is fun to watch, its like he has something new to perform each game he play. I think he deserve to get a contract from Grizzlies since their rotation became so good when he plays around. He's good to be their floor general and for sure that he brings good help to their campaign.

Let see if there's good development will happen and if Grizzlies would let Yuki Kawamura to be part of their roster this season.

There's a big consideration and I hope that they're not going to disappoint the fans on what he's showing right now. His experience really helped him to adjust with the big man that they have whom is Zach. Well, it's too early to tell with this line up but very promising one when the regulars come.

With how he played the game, I'm also in that same impression that the management willl give him decent contract to play and be part of their rotations, he got the talent and with that familiarity playing with big men he can maximize the full potential of Zach, though not sure if he'll get that minutes when the regular season begin.

Knowing that Ja' and the rest of their starters will be playing and will take most of those minutes, just looking for positive things for him and how to see him playing as he's adding additional entertainment when he's inside facilatating their offense.

I don't know why Rick Brunson is having a beef with DiVincenzo but I bet Donte has received a message that Rick was part of the reason why he was traded, just my guess. But Donte needs to move on, I know he likes playing with the Villanova brothers but he is on a better team now and he must show it to them and silence them all.
Tell the Knicks they made a mistake through his actions and success. I am betting for the Timberwolves to win this year and I bet he will be a big part of that when they make it to the top.

Is he on a better team now?  Knicks and Wolves are both top echelon teams.  I'm sure donte is a little salty knowing he wanted to stay there with the kmicks and ride this thing out.  In terms of brunson no clue but brunson isn't going to be part of any deals Leon rose makes.  It's Leon's job to put 5 on the court the coach can take all the way to a chip.  These guys know the business and it isn't personal. 

Yeah, it might be that. Donte could've been enjoying the company of his Villanova brothers and when he was kicked out he got bitter. Well, I guess we will never know its backstory since I doubt someone will talk.
Well, for me, the Timberwolves are a better team, or maybe because we didn't see the full strength of the Knicks when OG and Randle were hurt and cannot help out during their playoff stint. We will see it this year on which team is the better one.

I don’t mean to keep piling on the Klay is washed club, but he’s not exactly shooting the lights out so far in Dallas. He’s basically not even playing as good as Bronny James Jr. Hopefully things get better for him but I have my doubts.

Well, he did have almost the same stats a few times in the Warriors uniform after the injury which I think he should be thinking about. Mentally, I know Klay is still hurt and there could be glimpses of being afraid to get hurt again. The Mavs will badly need him and this cannot happen.

The injury I hated to see was Paul George hurting his knee already. I hoped the 76ers would at least be full strength to start the season. Philadelphia sure has a lot of money tied up in their big 3 for injuries to already become an issue for them. Hopefully they have better luck for the rest of the season.

Not the best timing, especially with the regular season just around the corner. Hopefully, it’s nothing major, because the last time he had a similar injury back in 2023, he was out for weeks. Early in the season, it's not a huge deal yet, as long as Embiid is on the court, the team can still compete.

Kidding aside I think there’s something wrong already on the shooting form of Klay. It’s very hard to comprehend how come a sharp shooter can’t even do a single basket on a game while he has a lot of FGA.

He is either struggling physically or mentally. He should take a rest or else his career will be washed up early.

There was one particular highlight from yesterday that is sure to haunt Klay Thompson. There was a turnover and he was wide open at the three point line, but they passed the ball right by him to a slightly less wide open player in the corner who hit the shot. If Klay Thompson isn’t getting the ball for wide open threes, he’s basically useless.

I agree that it's a bad start for him but maybe he's not yet composed as this is just a preseason and there's no Luka in action too. Well, this is nothing new to him that he didn't contributed a lot based on the output of scores. Anyway, there are still more games to come for him and he might just recover from this stats that he's got. And the internet always look at how bad performances are but eventually praising those exceptional games.

I do not think he goes for mental issues all that much, he is one of those players who forget a bad game and move to next one pretty quickly, doesn't feel like he is going to do anything major about these. I understand it may not feel great at the moment, but I feel like he is going to forget this one and move further as well. Plus, he is a good player and we know this, not like he is a shock to anyone, he is a great shooter and a good defender, we know what he is capable of.

But even with that in mind, last year on play-in he didn't do well, and maybe he will not do well in some games this season as well, we can't expect him to shoot 5-6 threes every game, there will be games where he is not going to be good like this one. We need to just adjust to reality Klay Thompson isn't as good as he used to be, which is fine and I believe we are going to see this not changing all too much, we are going to see them do fine with what they have long term.

Klay having a bad game doesn't really surprise me. He has been playing for the same team since he got drafted, so it will take a while for him to get adjusted to his new team, dude changed teams at 30+ , of course he doesn't know how to play with them. Plus they are missing a crucial player as well.

I believe Klay will get better over time, while I agree this was a terrible game from him, it doesn't mean he is going to stay like this. Realistically speaking, he never had any good season starts neither, and after a few months we are going to see him be a great part of this team without a doubt. With everyone healthy, and playing together, this will not be a big deal and we are going to see them do fine eventually. This doesn't feel like something we can make a big deal out of yet, just because of one bad pre season game.

TBH, I have very low expectations on him now that he's on a different team. The Mavericks fans are just hyping him up just because of how he played in the past in Golden State. Let's face the fact that what happened in the past might not happen now. It's just one game some might say, but let's see how his performance will be when he's on a different team. If he plays worse than last season, that shows that the problem is on him, and not on the team.

It's the pre-season, so I have low expectations on these bench players, but I would say that like you both, I also love how Kawamura is playing.

Let's not forget that when he's still playing in the B-league, he's the league leader in assists as well with I think around 8 per game. He has been showing it ever since the pre-season began, and let's just hope that he can still do it when the regular season starts. I know that what he's showing in the pre-season still isn't enough, but it's good now that the Grizzlies have a potential pure PG on their team. He might not be that good on scoring, and he might be the shortest player in the league currently, but his vision inside the court is just amazing.

I like their coaching style because they focus on real teamwork, not just relying on their star player. So, he’ll definitely get good minutes, and hopefully, he’ll keep growing as a player.

However, I disagree though, if these players wanted to show, like in this case Klay Thompson with his new team, then definitely, this is the time to do it. Otherwise how can he blend when during this time, he hasn't shown anything? It's not like there will be a switch on him that in the season games, he will suddenly average 15-20 ppg?

We all know that after his last championship with the Warriors, after coming from injury, it was a different Klay then, maybe he really gets old over night. Didn’t he have an injury? Maybe he’s still feeling it, which could explain why he’s not comfortable with his shooting right now. I know his shooting percentage has dropped, but being scoreless in the preseason really stands out. It kind of reminds me of when he was scoreless during the play-in game while he was still with the Warriors--a game that mattered a lot for the team.

He's shooting percentage really decline and for what happen for past games we can really see that he's not the Klay we used to see way back on GSW. Hopefully he can recover and do more better performance in regular season. Its to bad to see a downfall like this and especially that we used to see him perform so good and bring good impact to his past team.

It's really a cringe when you saw how Paul George got injured, you can see his body on a awkward position and for sure we know that's already a injury for him. The good news is that he didn't suffer any structural damage on his knee, however, he still needs to be re-evaluated next week. And hopefully, but that time, his body could have healed itself.

Although the news is that he will missed the regular season games, at least two weeks. I think that is still very manageable as we are in the start of the new season and ther are plenty of room for the Sixers to wait for Paul George to return to their line-up. It's just one of those freak injuries we have seen in pre-season. And the good thing with pre-season is that coach also had time to experiment several players, to find out the good combinations that he might need in the entire regular season.

Klay isn’t the same anymore, and while we’re seeing Buddy Hield fitting in well with the Warriors, Klay seems to be struggling with his shooting on his new team.

Yeah right, We shouldn’t discredit easily all the achievements Klay achieved in the past since the talent is already there. I believe that he is just struggling to pressure for giving same result when he is healthy that’s why his performance becomes worst especially during GSW stay that Curry already get the most role for outside shot.

He needs to find his game or we will be seeing Russel Westbrook all over again when the skills suddenly downgraded when he was traded.

This is the common enemy of an athlete especially if there’s a high expectation on his shoulder.

The problem at this point is Grizzlies is they already have three guards in their roster and provably if Kawamura will get a contract there provably he can get less minutes. So provably he cannot get decent minutes there. But overall its still fine since this is good step since maybe he can turn the table in favor to him if he could provide some outstanding performance for this team.

So waiting for further update on this since its really exciting to watch Kawamura to play in NBA.

For sure their wings and big mans will benefit on the plays what Kawamura could bring to their team.
