That is a huge amount of money.how can nba pay this much to all there players. 113 million is not a joke. But who is the highest paid nba player this year? You can see the highest-paid NBA players by season from this wiki page. Last year it was Kobe Bryant for 25 million $. This year it would probably be Kevin Durant, he just signed a two-year 54.3 million $ deal with Golden State Warriors. That's 27.15 million $ per year. Nope, it's not Kobe, Durant or Lebron the highest paid player. It's Mike Conley of the Memphis, his contract is worth of $153 million for 5 years. Insane right? I go crazy as soon as I saw it. Imagine its more than Michael Jordan salary when he was still playing or even Kobe Bryant or Lebron James. they signed kobe with that amount?omg!!they havent made good in that season. Not worth the pay.

It's worth the pay simply because he is KOBE BRYANT. NBA is not just a basketball it also a business, so that why kobe desrves that kind of salary. But for Mike Conley, he has not yet prove anything, he also never been in all star.

I read an article about exploratory trade talks involving Russell Westbrook and the Spurs. But according to the same news, the trade talks fizzled out real quick because there just couldn't be an agreement made between the two teams that's both viable for them. Names of Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge were mentioned but talks did not gather a lot of steam to really push through.

if this rumors went thru i think spurs would be unstoppable you have kawhi aldridge and gasul plus parker and ginobli or wesr, strong spurs needs a quick runner and can filled by westbrook.

But these are merely rumors and I don't think the Spurs are going to give up Kawhi or LA for that matter. There are also other teams who have shown interest in Westbrook, like his hometown of Los Angeles. I don't know of the Lakers can persuade him to play for them, but the Clippers have the better chance with their more solid line up. I would still love to see Westbrook land in Boston, where conference competition is not that tight, compared to the Western Conference.

I wouldn't trade Kawhi for Westbrook, and lets not even talk about Kawhi + LA trade. That would be simply ludicrous. Even if that trade happened I can't see Westbrook fitting in the Spurs' system, and he definitely would NOT change for Pop.

Spurs would never let go kawhi, he is a complete package type of a player and the spurs needs that kind of player to improve his defense. Once defensive player of the year and now already improving his offense, Lebron was even lucky he was not able to face the spurs and his Kryptonite Leonard.

Pop is too smart of a coach to let Kawhi go. When Pop traded for Kawhi everybody thought he was crazy

Who said Kawhi - Westbrook trade first? That's bullcrap. Popovich never give up Kawhi and Westbrook is Oklahoma City legend already. After Durant's departure he's the only franchise superstar, he would never leave now.

Kawhi and aldridge is the future of spurs i don't think that they will trade any one of them as we see how fit kwhi with coach pop and alridge already getting his rhythm add pau and the inside is already solid if westbrook will just be added and no trade i think it would be a deadliest team ever assemble.

The inevitability of losing Westbrook in free agency is looming so better find suitable trade partners for him than experience the same thing with Durant's departure to Golden State. Unfortunately, rebuilding is the only way to go for the Thunder and Westbrook will not be part of it. He could be gone even before the season begins or before the trade deadline in February.

Exactly, I can't see Westbrook staying with OKC after this season. They better get something for him while they can. Absolutely the only way Westbrook stays is if OKC signs a superstar, which probably won't happen

I just hope Westbrook will just stay in the thunder, they could still get someone who could partner westbrook and I believe that westbrook is a talented and he has so much to improve. Let's just accept that thunder will not be good for playoffs this year but they are still fun to watch.

But i believe they too can rebuild after some time. Westbrook is still young and there will come a time where he could get a reliable teammate. Not necessarily a superstar but maybe he can teach some one to become one.

Rebuilding will take a long time to make the result happen, just like what happen to the celtics they have rebuild when they let go or garnet, pierce, and rondo, even allen. Look at the season after the rebuilding, they are still adjusting and it was just now that they are playing good but not really a championship contender team

Best Prospect on the Sixers: Simmons or Embiid? Embiid is the better prospect. As a Philly writer put it last month, if Embiid is entirely healthy then the pressure on Simmons to be a superstar is lowered. Embiid is the center piece. He was expected to go #1 over Wiggins before injury concerns. Simmons will have the better season. Embiid isn't expected to play the 2nd of back-to-back games and I'd expect his mins to hover around 20 per game. I'd expect a 15/8/6 type season from Simmons. Embiid's numbers are unknown until the front court logjam is fixed.
