I dont see that as a reality. Warriors should get young players and pay them to gain experiences s when next year add Kay they go for playoffs. To trade their future fro a star that will retire in few years seems very bad. Westbrook will go to a team that will compete for championship.

Klay has a successful operation but no assurance that he will be healthy by next season or no assurance the will be reinjured again.

Now, let's talk about the current situation, warriors have no Thompson, or someone with playoffs experience like Curry, but if WB will be traded to the team then it could increase the value of GSW to win an NBA championship.

Westbrook has the same contract as Curry, and I don't see Warriors' other players with the same high level which GSW could offer the Rockets to acquire him. I guess this deal looks unrealistic at the current moment.

We haven't started the season yet, Los Angeles Lakers have also lost a bunch of their quality players so we really have to see if the new players are going to blend with the team.

And as you have said, many team are coming stronger as well, so it's going to be tough for the Lakers. They need to play very good almost every night just to stay on top. Miami Heat wasn't expected to be on top of the Eastern Conference, it means that they are a lot of surprising coming in this season. The favorite might not come on top and be the champions, just saying.

The problem is that Russ is trying do harm to do everything in offense, attacking the rim, but at the same time it might cause him to miss a lot of shot that might not good in the end for the Warriors.

I'd rather pick for them to stay healthy until Finals rather than being balanced.
You see, that part of the game (injuries) makes a huge handicap, especially when stars are hurt.
Charlotte Hornets paid a lot for Gordon Hayward but we haven't seen yet what impact it could give to the whole team.

The impact of those Players that being traded will depend from how the entire team embrace him, just look with how Miami used Butler last season during the bubble, expectation from them is not that much but they managed to play in finals.

I don't think there's a balance in the league because even those underrated teams came up to go against all odds when the playoffs is nearing. Who knows it hasn't even started yet but you can see there are already people's favorite but as what others are saying it's too early for that. I don't think there's someone we can call harming among the team but it all depends on the team's picking or who they want to trade and what that player/s could bring to the team. It's a matter of a good/bad pick or trade.

Yes, fair point, let's say we wanted to see a team health first before we can assess the team's readiness specially teams that have rebuild themselves in preparation for this season.

So for now it's hard to conclude except that of course the depending champion will be the favourite in this case, the Los Angeles Lakers. We also have to look at the chemistry building, it will take some time for new players to readjust their game to a new team.

It seems that there are now new super teams in the NBA wherein the lineup is really good, I'm looking forward if the new rooster of the LAL will be good because they have now Dennis Schroder, Gasol, and Harrel that can help increase their defense and also offense but there are also cons and it is by letting go their old chemistry team like Rondo, Howard and McGee. If the new rooster will have a good performance in the next season then expect that the number 1 spot in the western conference will be the LAL.

Exactly, WB wanted to take over a team and we have seen that he can't with OKC and then the tandem with Harden didn't work as well in Houston. So it will be a bad match, Russ should be in a team wherein he will be the franchise player as by now we have seen that he can't blend well with other superstars in a team.

That's not the issue I believe, I saw him adjust when he was playing with the Rockets, it's just that, he does not fit with the team but it does not say that Westbrook is not a good player, he has a real talent, he just need to land in a team where they can use him effectively, and I believe Warriors is the team.

Hornets waive Batum, headed to LA
Shams Charania: The Charlotte Hornets are waiving forward Nicolas Batum, sources tell The Athletic. Batum plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers after he clears waivers. Multiple contenders made plans to pursue Batum once the Hornets made clear he could be waived. The Clippers are set to receive the versatile veteran forward.

While reading on the link posted above, I find this information very helpful for the LA Clippers.
Batum is a great defender and a great shooter, he could play as a starter or the 2nd unit, so this news if come into reality is a big boost for the Clippers.

21 days left before the season opener and we are receiving some bad news already.
Celtics' Kemba Walker to miss start of 2020-21 season

The Boston Celtics will start the 2020-21 season without one of their top players in the mix.

Guard Kemba Walker, an All-Star last season, will be out until at least early January as he works to strengthen his troublesome left knee. Per the team, Walker consulted with multiple specialists in early October and received a stem cell injection in his left knee. Afterward, he was put on a 12-week strengthening program.

He is expected to return to on-court activities in early December, but his status for game availability won’t be known until at least the first week of January, the team said.

These are one of the reasons why we should not expect much even with a super built roster.

The last time was Klay and I really thought GSW will be redeeming themselves again.

On the other hand, the Pelicans are looking great with their roster now.
Bledsoe, Zion, Ingram, Adams, and Ball. I think it's a strong 1st team, especially below the rim.

I'm expecting that we will see too many injuries in the next season because NBA players have busy schedule games(training camps/preseason games + another 72 games), and I guess they didn't have enough time to rest.
