Well, for those that have been feeling regret and think that they're just lucky because of the injury.
It's part of the game, whether the superstars got injured and that lessened the teams winning power. It's part of it, and what's done is done and congratulations to Bucks, 50 years in the making.
Wow!
And Bucks should be proud because it was their franchise player who helps the team to make it possible, unlike other teams that need to form a superteam in order to win a championship, you know what I'm saying, right? If Giannis will win another championship, then I will have to admit that he is already in level with Lebron James and Kobe Bryant, for now, there are people who are still in doubt that the Bucks will not win a championship if they face a healthy Nets or a healthy Lakers/Clippers in the NBA Finals. look at the NBA winner odds for next season, Bucks is x10. Odds are unreal, what? Bucks x10 to win a championship? I think we should take this early as this might drop. Since this is from sportsbet, you can also try to use a price boost to increase that odds, let me try. Well the odds increase to 10.90, that's another bonus if they'll win the championship. My concern is only the Nets, if they'll beat them again, then they will have a good chance in the NBA Finals as Lebron is not getting any younger if his team will reach in the NBA finals again. They can't repeat championship, that was a one time trophy due to too many injuries on opponents. Next year there won't be this much injuries. Honestly 10-1 isn't that bad. Yeah all injuries aside it might have gone different but you could say that about any year. Injuries are part of the game, maybe it's worse next year who knows. Either way laying 10-1 for next years winner who just won the ship this year is never a bad bet.

Yeah exactly. They didn't get some help from any superstar from other teams and they've made it together with their players so that's really a proud moment. Not only for them but also for the players that have stayed.

@redhack , basketball is a surprise box, anything can happen!! I confess that injuries were some of the determining factors (I've never seen an NBA season with so many injuries). There are some seasons that I've been following the performance of Giannis Antetokounmpo and I will tell you, he evolved a lot in these playoffs!! ring and mvp of the finals deserved for Antetokounmpo. I'm very curious and anxious to seeing how the Bucks will adjust and behave with various possibly healthy teams, for example, Nets or Lakers! Will be very interesting

So let's see if they can repeat next season, the good thing is that they are not the favourite, and they are an underdog so an outright bet could be good for us. And I think even if Lakers or Nets are healthy, they can still find arguments against the Bucks for winning the championship. (Lebron was too old, Nets big 3 didn't click, etc).

Bucks really surprised me this season. They were not the favorites - during the regular season and even when the playoffs started but they started improving with every game leading to the finals. Its interesting how they were able to pull back to back comebacks in the playoffs fixtures and still pull through. Remembered seeing Nets running them down with a 2-0 lead but they got back and even the big 3 couldn't stop them. Afterwards it was hawks and Suns (which seemed to be an unstoppable team since playoffs started). Anyway, I'm super glad Giannis finally won it. He's my country man by birth and I've been keeping a close eye on him ever since I started watching the NBA and even placing bets on it. Bucks has been one of my fav team. At this point, I'm considering becoming a fan because of Giannis, haha.

expect that Giannis will improve as he is still young, they will try to develop him into an all-around player and more consistent with his FT shooting.
I hope they can also improve shortening his free throw time. It's not that I am impatient about it but just to avoid any call an impatient referee might do. Steve Nash used to do that shadow free throw before he receives the ball. Maybe Giannis could just minimize the number of dribbles, 3-4 should be enough. I wouldn't be surprised also if we see a lot of veterans joining the team for a chance to win a championship, just like Blake Griffin when he join the Nets for a lower salary and I'm sure the intention is to win a championship. Bucks now have the liberty to improve their roster as the management would make sure they'll be more than ready by next season.
Yeah, I'll keep the main 7-8 players for chemistry and trade some with a veteran star who will accept a veteran salary so that the cap will be intact avoiding luxury taxes.

That is one hell of an observation. To be honest I have no idea he was taking a lot of time before he shoots from free throw line. Perhaps he is just trying to calm his nerves or he is trying to feel his pulse to be able to land a more accurate free throw. This is very interesting if you have a data from which it tallies average time players spent before throwing the ball from free throw line, that would be epic. On the other hand, I myself dribbles about 10 minimum before I shoot something from the free throw.

Pride before moving away from the game, most of the time this kind of actions force veterans to join more potential teams, Remember how Charles Barkley transfer to Houston for the chase of the ring, and adding to that are Malone and Payton but still they ends up retiring without winning a ring. Completing your quest with a title behind your name is one of those goals, not just for the money but a title surely completes your resume being a star. Expect more coming next season, Off topic : I think GSW is moving as early as now, planning to take Siakam with a healthy Klay and Steph not bad chasing to regain the thrown.

Just a rumor but if consider, looks like the Toronto Raptors will now destroy their championship lineup. Like the possible trade though as after their 2019 championship and the departure of Kawhi Leonard, they now remain silent and not a competitive one in the Eastern Conference alone. But what it will cost for the Warriors? It's a risk if it involves shipping their possible valuable rookies on the draft night.

Yeah, totally, the credit is for the Bucks and also for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was on fire in the playoffs. But I believe the Bucks will have to play really well to reach the finals again. (but I find difficult to happen) I know this is not a good thing, but teams need to take advantage of the opponent if any player is injured. For example, look what happened with Nets in 20/21 season, and in 18/19 finals, the Raptors beated the Warriors! I say, It is necessary to take advantage of your opponent's weakness.

If they will pursue Siakam then I think that the Warriors might return to a small starting lineup like what they did in their championship years. I don't think too that they will trade Green and with a healthy Klay and Steph, the team will be a playoff contender again for the next years as long as they are healthy though. Adding Siakam is additional scorer and at the same time defender. There are some rumors around GSW like trading Wiseman or getting Simmons etc. Now regarding the Raptors, there are some rumors too that Lowry might sign to Lakers or even 76ers or Clippers. Lowry has been the future of the team ever since including Kawhi and when Kawhi left the team, they aren't as strong as they are when Kawhi is still there. The Raptors might enter the rebuilding phase this next year possibly especially when they will trade their franchise player.

So that alone tells us that the Toronto Raptors are going to rebuild without Lowry. But it is interesting to hear that Siakam wanted out of Toronto since he just sign a huge deal with them and he is the next to be the face of Toronto when Lowry goes out. hopefully Giannis will improve more, his free throw shooting is the most important that has to be improve, next is his awkward 3 point shooting style.
No need to improve that awkward 3 point shooting. What for? It will be enhanced along the way. Why should we ask for that? He was able to reach his achievement without that best 3 point shooting stroke. Focus instead on his specialty which is dominating the inside within paint. He's improving his perimeter shot slowly and his free throw. It's not necessary for him to improve at all aspects. There's no player like that and that was too much to ask. The addition of the perimeter shots will be the best one if ever he will enhance it. Being a threat on that field gives him more room to move if ever a defender gets close to him preventing him to shoot. I mean look at Jokic, you can't leave him in a 1-meter guard position because he can shoot. But there a big difference, Giannis is faster, he can jump, take the contact, and still make the shot. The Bucks can create their own Frankenstein.

We never know, now that Bucks had already won a championship, we will see a more confident Milwaukee Bucks next season, also, expect that Giannis will improve as he is still young, they will try to develop him into an all-around player and more consistent with his FT shooting. The first five should remain intact, they can add some players to improve the teams' offense, particularly the 2nd unit as they might face a tougher challenge next season. They need to add more role players if they are aiming for another ring, the statement above is for real if there's no injuries with those super teams both Suns and Bucks will have the difficulty reaching the finals. But since they are now the defending champ the value of this team may grow, finding or adding quality players is no longer hard for this team. early to discuss the next season, lets wait for any possible trades from that we will see who's hot and possible to reach the finals. It's hard to win a back-to-back championship, even the LA Lakers that we thought would have a back-to-back win, but they never did, indeed they failed in the first round of the playoffs due to injury. In the current state of the NBA, health is very important, that's why some teams are not giving their star players a lot of minutes when the game is not any more important, but Giannis is a real definition of a warrior, he will try to play even if he is hurt and look what happen, he got injured in the Hawks series but made himself available in the game 1 of the NBA Finals, that's the kind of dedication that every star player should have.

Many teams are planning to bring more talents to their teams and Lakers is known for this also I believe Nets will bounce back next season with healthy line up so its not good for Bucks to be calm next season they need to upgrade if they want to win another championship next season. Its not early to discuss about the trade since actually trading rumors are now rotating in the league so they should watch which stars available is good fit to their team.

hopefully Giannis will improve more, his free throw shooting is the most important that has to be improve, next is his awkward 3 point shooting style.
I agree with that, if Giannis will shot like Jokic, he will dominate the NBA as he can produce points from inside and outside. He could be a triple-double machine if he wants, Giannis will also become less predictable because of his outside shooting, and though I know it will take time to be consistent, but one thing I'm certain, Giannis will become a good 3 point shooter as he is not afraid to take shots. let's look lopez for example, he is a good 3 point shooter now, when he was still playing with other teams, he is not a good 3 point shooter, he improved with the Bucks.

Its just funny that CP3 really is 0-12 when the game is being officiated by Scott Foster. We might think that there is a bit of biased on it but we can't say it without proofs at all.
Nice trivia, I don't know that, however, I still believe that the Suns did not lose because of the officiating, that's too unfair for the Bucks because we saw how they bounce back from the first two losses and they have dominated the Suns already winning the next 4 games. Maybe next time CP3 has to be friendly with the refs especially with Scott Foster so the curse will be broken.

Last season Lowry wanted out already isn't it? So that alone tells us that the Toronto Raptors are going to rebuild without Lowry. But it is interesting to hear that Siakam wanted out of Toronto since he just sign a huge deal with them and he is the next to be the face of Toronto when Lowry goes out. Here is the link for those who are interested: https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-rumors-possible-warriors-trade-185518680.htmlWith the Kawhi Leonard's exit, I realized that the Raptors had dropped their level, I still believe that if Lowry leaves, it won't make such a significant difference to the team. If Pascal Siakam leaves Toronto, I still believe he will be greatly missed. Siakam was a key player in the Raptors' victory over the Warriors in 18/19 NBA finals, and he's still 27 years old, he's sure to evolve. Well, now let's see if these trades will actually happen, and let's see what possible players can go to the Raptors

Maybe next time CP3 has to be friendly with the refs especially with Scott Foster so the curse will be broken. I think it's just a coincidence. Scott Foster's won't do such a thing or it will cost him his career. It's not easy to look for a job when you are at that age. Next, I think NBA analytics and fans just made it bigger of an issue and it didn't stop until it gets worse Game 7 OKC vs Rockets. He was so mad at that moment because he want to prove something after trading him to OKC by the Rockets itself. Last minute with 1 point lead in favor of Rockets, CP3 handles the ball and he almost turned it over, ball recovered and rotates, Harden blocked a 3 point attempt by Dort and Rockets got the ball back. It's just Covington's night that moment as he shoots everything, everywhere. Speaking of OKC Thunder, I saw Kemba Walker after checking their roster and he is gone in the Celtics roster already but I can't find any legitimate news yet.

...and so it begins, the first trade of this offseason is in: source: https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1419756065625972747Memphis is finalizing a trade to send Jonas Valanciunas and 2021 Nos. 17 and 51 picks to New Orleans for Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, 2021 picks Nos. 10 and 40 and a protected 2022 first-round pick via the Lakers, sources tell ESPN. Grizzlies are moving 7 spots up in the draft while absorbing two bad contracts (Adams and Bledsoe). I'm not sure what to make out of this trade, i don't particularly like it for Memphis, but i imagine they have someone in mind to move up in the draft. I'd like to see them play without a typical big man next season, which means Jaren Jackson Jr. at the five, unlikely to happen though. As for the Pels side of things, it's a good trade, getting rid of bad contracts and opening up cap space. Lonzo will be a restricted free agent, so their roster could have a completely new look come next season. It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to play alongside Ingram and Zion, don't forget they also have a rookie head coach, Willie Green. So, a lot of question marks ahead for New Orleans... The NBA draft is this Thursday, July 29, we should see more trades being done in the upcoming days.
