His stats are getting better now compared with his stats on the Portland Trailblazers.

Now, he averaged 17.7 points, and that's decent enough for a player that is only paid less than 3 million dollars a year.

I'm looking forward to his consistency here but it still depends on how the coach would manage his time.

Westbrook is still below his standard, only scored 13 points but I'm glad Melo bring back the clock and he was the leading scorer of the team with 28 pionts and 6-8 shooting from 3, that was insane.

He will continue to contribute to the team but he will not make an average of 20 points and he is not a starter for the LA Lakers. He could step up when needed, that's the most important for now and that's why the Lakers signed him is because they trusted him to help the Lakers bring to the Finals again.

This is an interesting point! I believe that unfortunately Melo will no longer be an AllStar player, his technical and skill level is decreasing and he is already getting older, unfortunately

I commented a few weeks ago, Melo playing with LeBron and others of his friends may therefore inspire him, and indeed this is happening, his performance is improving, but for us to see its effectiveness we will have to see if Melo will continue with the same consistency in your performance!

Exactly!! I believe that, as Westbrook has been switching teams lately, I think that for him to fit in and have a chemistry on the team, several things need to be fixed and adjusted for the Lakers to be able to form the best team possible with this roster of this season!!

But why that question about Westbrook's capability didn't ask when he was on Washington Wizards? Why people are now expecting that Westbrook will be better in Lakers uniform which shouldn't be expected at early games. Basketball fanatics should not rush everything.

Looks like being star and Lebron as a teammate, everyone is pressuring a certain player.

I'm not really expecting Westbrook to make big points since he came in Lakers as his role will be different. He's not the main offensive option on the Lakers as there are Anthony Davis And Lebron James who will do the job for scoring. His job is to make a play for a possible assist, as a point guard and he was good on that. I will look forward to seeing improvement on his other stats and not just to see his points stats.

It's also difficult to do that tripe double because there are lots of scoring options on the Lakers and Carmelo now seems back to his shooting form.

Consistency and focus to his role. It's not gonna be a hard thing for him in LA because they have a lot of options to score. The only problem is how they make it work more effectively.
I'm expecting a lot of wide open shots for Melo especially with Davis, LeBron, and Westbrook on the floor. Defender will focus on a driving LeBron or Westbrook plus an extra layer of defense for AD in the paint leaving an open man outside.

LaMelo Ball is something else.  He's putting up big numbers every game.  I honestly didn't think he'd make it in the NBA.  That's the most wrong I've ever been.  I wouldn't sleep on his brother the way everyone seems to be after the preseason he had.  Those Ball kids are winners.  It would be amazing to see them all on one team someday, although unlikely.  LaMelo is blossoming into the kind of player that could get his brothers to his team, but I think we might have to wait a few more years for him to really get that kind of pull...  Plus, his brother really seems to be flourishing in his role in Chicago.

I've watched Grizzlies and Lakers. Just like what everybody is talking about Melo, he's doing good and the Lakers are using him correctly. As for Westbrook, I do agree that he needs more playing time.

Just like what we're talking about this superteam. It could still end up badly and we shouldn't put our expectations high just like the past seasons. But we're all hoping that they're going to make it and they're still in the early phase.

On the same page as you. I doubted this brothers because of their father thinking he is doing all the dirty work to boost the names of his kids.
But they proved it wrong. All of their success now came from their own hardwork and effort which is amazing and each year they are improving.
Consistency is all they need and that could be polished by gaining experience. I think he want to prove something, and that is the road to being a franchise player.

He is still a rookie but he is a good defender, I was watching the highlights against the Utah Jazz and I saw how he was able to put a lockdown kind of defense on Clarkson and Mitchell, actually, they are not related to Donovan but this guy is really exciting to watch for.

It's really surprising to see the brothers are in the current top 1 & 2 in the eastern conference where the Charlotte Hornets has recorded a 3-0 at the start of the season for the first time in their franchise and the bulls are starting 4-0 first ever since Michael Jordan era. Looks like the kids have some great future ahead since they have a supportive father behind them.



They need to keep this phase up and continue to dominate the league in their upcoming games.

I like this guy and for me, he is my best bet to win as the rookie of the year.
He is still a rookie but he is a good defender, I was watching the highlights against the Utah Jazz and I saw how he was able to put a lockdown kind of defense on Clarkson and Mitchell, actually, they are not related to Donovan but this guy is really exciting to watch for.

It's too early to tell but I also believe that he is a good steal by the Sacramento Kings and the failing career of Luke Walton, that's what I read online. I also watch his highlights and he is playing with high confidence, and with that, it's very exciting to watch him play and I hope that he will remain healthy all throughout the season.
