Man, I am still pissed off about that Bulls game last night.  I was so excited watching during that first half.  Both Lavine and DeRozan were absolutely killing it.  I mean silky smooth shots, great passing etc.  The defense was on point, I don't think Lillard got any points until a goal tending call was made with something like 5mns left in the 2nd quarter.  Then of course the meltdown in the second half and blowing I think was at least an 18pt lead at one point and I believe a 15pt lead at half.  I know the team is new, and it takes time to gel, but man this was a frustrating loss!  Angry

For sure, but it is good to see Dame play well as well.

He has been in a bit of a slump over the last few games, and hopefully this game gets the Trail Blazers going a bit.

But the bulls are very, very exciting as a team.

Another loss for Lakers, things are not looking great at all. I get that Lebron is missing and Lebron is by far their best player no matter how old he is, but they built a team around Lebron that keeps on losing once again. Meaning if Lebron left the team today then Lakers will become a bad team once again. This is why I believe that we should not be considering Lakers to be a bad team like that right now and should pressure them or at least expect them to be better even without Lebron.

Otherwise this is another team Lebron carried for a ring if it ever happens and at this point I do not expect that much from him. They either fix themselves and get better and find a good way, or they are going to end up being so much worse when it is playoff time.

I have no doubt that the Lakers can play better with or without Lebron, but it looks like they still need time to improve their team chemistry. I guess the Lakers' offense and defense on the court will change a lot throughout the season. Maybe they will even surprise us in the playoffs if their key players are healthy.

Well Dame started to get his outside shooting going, I know man, I have the Bulls at ML and I also thought that they are on the way on winning that game until that last 7 minutes of the game.

And that's all the matter for Dame, once he got started, it's hard to stop them. Give credit to Lavine and DeRozan again, they carry the Bulls but it's not enough to win against Portland in their homecourt.

Well, we can't deny the fact that the Bulls are doing great early this season, but that doesn't mean they're unbeatable. Dame just outshined the Bulls scoring leaders, and it happens to other games too where a team was performing really good but 1 man could lead the other team to beat them.
It's no surprise Lillard has always been the front man in Portland and he's offensive capabilities can beat a good team anytime.
And yeah you're right, when Lillard is on fire he might be too hot to handle throughout the game.

It was interesting that Demar Derozan decided to come out and say that he had a sign and trade deal finished with the Lakers in August, but they decided to get Russell Westbrook instead.  Given how each of them have performed this season so far, it seemed like Demar was taking the opportunity to twist the knife a little bit about the Lakers making the wrong choice.

Lots of speculation about John Wall suddenly.  It's looking like the Rockets might end up dumping him off to whoever wants to deal with him.  I'm curious what's going to happen to him once his contract is over.  Who knows though, if Chris Paul could get an extension...

Playoffs will defimately be different but they can't play around too much otherwise they will be on the outside looking in.  And this team needs lebron.  Lebron is suck a hard cover it alters the defense on the rest of the team.  I can see lebron only taking around 40-50 games though this season.  Lakers know if he is shot by the ayoffs Lakers don't stand a chance and the last coue games showed how they will struggle.

Definitely, Lebron needs to get back and lead the Lakers. He is the heart and soul of the team, and if they wanted to make at least the playoffs, Lebron should get back in the line up.

Lebron is getting older, and obviously, with the games he missed thus far, he will probably have like that numbers in the regular season. But what's important is the playoff, they need him healthy and Davis to make a run again.

You can call it's a desperate move by the Lakers management to get all this veterans and put it on one time and then can't find the perfect fit to all of them.

Somewhat though, I remember the discussions about them in the pre-season games where the Lakers lost a lot of games and we say that it is not that important. But now it seems that we are seeing that even today, they are struggling to win and now that Lebron is out, it is far more evident that the veterans are not jelling as they supposed to.

They are not desperate, they can still be a championship contender even if they didn't get Westbrook.

I understand what the Lakers did, they just want to improve their lineup by bringing all the friends of Lebron James, lol.
Unfortunately, they are struggling now because Lebron is injured but he'll be back soon so don't worry too much.

They might need more time to still figure out how a have the right chemistry, and what matters is that they are still in the playoff standing.

I am rooting for their wise perspective about the game they love. All they need is time to figure out how they can use all their skills to make each other better. Then, they also need to at least afford the 8th seed or better 7th for just 1 game to win in the play-in tournament and take a spot for the playoffs. When that happens, we might see upsets that will break NBA records again.

Speaking of records, Nikola Jokic halftime record against 76ers 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and there is still another 24 minutes left to be played.
That's the stats of a star player who played 48 minutes already.

And he ended with 30 points, only 3 points scored in the next 24 minutes.

Obviously, they won't win if that is his stat in the second half. While the Sixers played solid the whole game even without their best man, Joel.

The Lakers case is unique though, they have a lot of superstars and yet they always struggle and having a hard time closing teams.

Sixers are a good team even without Embiid, that's because they have good chemistry and everyone on the floor can contribute.
Jokic is no doubt a great player and will likely win an MVP this season but their inconsistency is here again, so I must say they really need Murray to be back in the lineup again as he can be consistent in helping Jokic or even lead the team.

The Lakers case is unique though, they have a lot of superstars and yet they always struggle and having a hard time closing teams.
They are different because they are consistent, consistently struggling.

Cavs seems to have a fighting chance against the Nets or is it just the Nets are having another bad day?
That third quarter was when the Cavs almost got near the lead and I saw Harden being really bad at his position as point.
You can see obvious dimes that was always intercepted by the guy defending him. I think Coach Nash should change some of his strategies.
Harden should not always handle the ball whenever he is on the floor. Mix it up to lessen the turnovers. Make him shoot more.

Cavs would have had a better chance with mobley under center as well.  The 7 foot kid is going to be a star in the league, he has a good feel for the game. Nets were too much for them without mobley.

And knicks what a terrible couple of games.  6 games in a row they came out in the third quarter and got outscored.  How can they not come out of half fired up, the energy just isn't there.  Their second team with obi, q and drose has been much better than the starting crew.  This needs to shake up this team.
I didn't noticed that Mobley was not there. Yeah, maybe if he had been there it would be a different ending.
Just checked it.

Mobley (elbow) has been diagnosed with a sprained right elbow and is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
He had a good game against the the Celtics with 4 blocks and lead the team with points. I think he overexerted himself during that game that's why he is out. The Cavaliers roster is in a bad position. Upon looking at the injury reports most of their offensive player are listed to be out.
Markkanen, Allen, Sexton, and Mobley. I don't think Garland can shoulder all that weight without those big names.

I believe the Cavs still put up on a show even with their starters out, Garland put on quite a show as he delivered along with Rubio, Wade and Love, they were doing great but weren't consistent enough to go on par with the Warriors as Curry exploded in the 4th, I really think if Curry didn't gave out back-to-back 3pointers on that 4th, the game will be a pretty close match, they defended him well but Steve Kerr's offensive plan is just really something out of this world right now.

^^ One thing about the Warriors is that you can't really count them out. When we think that they might lose against the Cavs, they come up big in the 4th, with Curry hitting those back to back 3's.

And then also put up a show on defense, just allowing the once hot Cavs to just 8 points in the 4th. You can really see what really happen in this game on the reaction from Kevin Love's face when the game is over. They let it slipped away.

And the most impressive part is that everyone contributed to a big comeback while they are making Curry take care of the points. I love to put a bet every time the warriors played, but this time I learned that live betting is also profitable especially if you bet on the Warriors when they are down.

Love to see their confidence this season knowing that they come from huge upset last season so this really show to their bandwagon fans that they are capable of huge comeback and have higher chance to win the champ this season. Although its early to tell but for sure once we see they are complete in the presence of Klay which is nearly coming back for sure they will have more additional fire power which can help them more on their run.

Definitely profitable to bet on them, for sure those who bet on the starting line at -9.5 thought that they've already lost their bet.

But maybe there are gamblers who still bet on the Warriors when they went down 10-12 point. That will be huge odds.

Lesson here is not to bet against one of the hottest team, specially they have Curry to carry the team with his phenomenal outside shooting.

I think their biggest deficit was 13 points, you can review the play by play in https://www.espn.ph/nba/playbyplay/_/gameId/401360048.
Even if it's 20 points deficit, the Warriors will still be able to come back because Curry is there and as per report, Curry is playing with bothersome hip and yet he still score 40 points.

I thought that they dominate again the 3rd quarter like they are always doing but it seems that they didn't did it but they did it in the final quarter.

Those 3 threes by Curry at the start of the quarter is the reason why they gained the momentum all thorough out the whole quarter and they just let the Cavaliers score 8 points. I mean only 8 points?? After battling toe to toe with the top team from 1st to 3rd, they will lose their gas coming to 4th and score 8 points. It might be too early but it seems that Curry is on the road to get another conference MVP award with how he is playing right now. He is the top leading scorer per game with 29.5, a 1.1 point difference between him and Durant which is second. What do you think? Will he get another MVP award this season?

P.S. He made another history again as he has made 85 3pt FG’s through 15 games this season. That marks the most 3pt FGM through the first 15 games of a season in NBA History!
