I read some articles that DeRozan is already ranked at number 3.
The ranking was
1. Curry, 2. Durant 3. DeRozan
What do you think about this, is it reliable based on the stats of DeRozan and the impact on the team? I like to get your thoughts on this as I would try to put a bet on DeRozan to win.
You happen to bookmarked the article? I think there are explanations regarding how the writer manage to rank him in the third. I wonder how DeRozan ended on that mark though since I can't see his name from this stats on https://www.nba.com/stats/players/. I guess if it's on the impact of the game to his team, I partly agree on that. What do you mean to win? MVP race? I think there are still plenty of time for him to show it off.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors 2. Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets 3. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets 4. DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls Maybe because Jokic has been out for few games, his spot was already taken by DeRozan, and I agree with the ranking.

What do you think is the problem why the Lakers are struggling right now? The Coach maybe? or lack of chemistry or the fact that most of them are all star and they want to get the ball and just shoot . Either way, I think that the Lakers should adjust right now or they will end up at the lower spot or worse they might not enter the playoffs. Westbrook isn't the problem (like everyone is complaining about) having almost everyone in the team a superstar and a former one isn't also the issue. They could actually execute a good offensive plays and they can even score in every way they want. Their number one problem is, they are not actually playing some defense. They can't even sustain a lead no matter how huge it is, because the higher the lead the more the Lakers became comfortable thus making their defense become more lazy. If they can't figure out how they'll adjust and fix their system, theres no way they're going to the Finals let alone the conference semis. Still finding the chemistry, I think that is no mystery that with many superstars the coach will have a hard time rotating them. I disagree though, they play good defense, AD and WB play good defense it's that they can't translate their good defense and score points. But I do agree that the chances for the Lakers to go to the semis much more to the finals is getting less and less with that defeat against the New York Knicks. The problem is the whole system, they traded the key players and they risk on Westbrook who can't jive well on the old players. We can't blame Westbrook as he is just playing the way he used to play, and the Lakers organization already know that before they acquired him, so that's the risk they take and they fail on this trade. The old Laker players that are involved in the Lakers-Wizards trade are now happy with the new system. We know what the Wizards are doing right now and we already saw the improvement of Kuzma, Harrell and KCP and how they are playing on their team right now. Same with Caruso with his new team, Bulls and with Schroder with the Celtics. Many are blaming WB for what is happening to the team right now but I think that he isn't the sole reason why they are performing like this right now. I think that its the coaching system that is the problem because he can't handle that many superstars in a team. Well, that is the risk that they need to endure right now unless they will change something.

They added Melo, Howard, and DJ which are already old, they may contribute but not the contribution that would make their team wins, that's why they are still struggling until now. The Lakers will face the Pacers tomorrow, expect another loss.

No doubt with DeRozans numbers, he's improving and enjoying his new team. The same old numbers way back with the Raptors. If only LeBron is not in the East back, then this guy might win the East title, a possible contender for being an MVP. Still, a lot of time if he will continue performing and those stars above him got an injury, the chance is really good for him to take it away from them. After next year, for sure we will see who's really edging and have the higher chance of winning the season MVP.

As the Lakers struggle will continue, we can't prevent people from saying their dismay because they have a high expectation on the LA Lakers. I mean, who would not expect a lot, they build a super team with popular names in the NBA, but look what they are showing, they can even hardly beat lower rank teams.
Anyway, Lebron might be back against the Pacers after one game of the suspension, so they have a good chance of winning now since they really need to start winning again. No excuses because they are complete now.

If they can't figure out how they'll adjust and fix their system, theres no way they're going to the Finals let alone the conference semis. I put it in bold to just highlight it, bro. Because I strongly agree with it. When Avery Bradley put a lot of effort into the defensive end the fruits were seen. They almost had the lead but again they are being lazy at the end of it or... there is no chemistry on that side. Making a perfect defensive play is not something that could be done in a snap and we could compare it with GSW on how far the difference is. Lakers can rain down shots with their individual strength in the offense just like what Westbrook did but they cannot successfully make a stop if they are not in sync with their defense. There will always be a hole if someone forgets where he should be when a screen and roll comes. That's their only weakness in my opinion. It's not the coach or the players but because they lack time to play with each other.

Let's clarify something. Do you think they are a super team before the NBA starts? Only a few considered them as super-team but most people think they are just a bunch of veterans and already past their prime. Carmelo Anthony is almost on retirement when no team is signing him. Just lucky to be signed in Portland. Westbrook is now changing teams since being traded from OKC. Dwight Howard is not performing well for several years now. The only consistent and still on prime is Anthony Davis. Lebron James is turning 37 years old. How Lakers become a super team this season?

To be a super team the players have to be super stars and younger/healthy. Westbrook and Carmelo are no longer the players they were, especially Carmelo. Lebron is still a super star but on the tail end of his career. Anthony Davis is a superstar but he can never stay healthy to save his life. They are a good squad, but I'll take the Nets and Warriors over them.

Maybe the system itself is flawed and the Lakers need to adjust. So let's see once Lebron is back, hopefully they can start to put up a winning streak just to take things going for them.
I have watched the game and I have to say that Lakers crumble way too easily, they had a bad first quarter and I get that they could have give up at that point, but they didn't and they kept on playing and that was something good for them, good job coming back and tying the game and all that. However as soon as Knicks started to play well again, they started to be horrible yet again. This is why I believe that there is something going on with the hype in that team. It is like they are not aware they are NBA players, do you know how amazing you have to be at playing basketball if you are in NBA? Those players are AMAZING and they are playing with confidence that you and I would have, they need to realize they are good.

I was waiting for something special from LeBron, after acquiring Melo and Russ and with a healthy Davis, this team still capable of competing. There's something wrong inside, coach need to figure it out to find ways and adjust. With the way this team is performing, they are just proving what their critics said after forming this roster.

Criticism is normal in NBA especially if people do not see their expectations, prior to the start of the season, I read an article not criticizing but doubting the roster of the LA Lakers, and they are correct, the LA Lakers struggles big time from the preseason up to now. Well, for those who are saying they are not a super team, well, I think the odds will not like, they are the favorites to win the NBA Finals next to the Nets, and for me, LEBRON, DAVIS, and WESTBROOK is already considered as a super team.

Are you guys excited to see Klay playing again? Well, if you are here's the latest update and we might see him soon back in the court, the number 1 in the NBA now will get back one of the best shooters in the NBA. Klay Thompson has been cleared to be a full participant in all Warriors practices. He isctrending toward return within week of Christmas. source : https://web.facebook.com/dubnation2020/photos/a.101229408450428/397130275527005/

I already feel bad for the Sixers facing the Warriors just by looking at who could be missing in their line up. This will most likely end in a blowout or at least a ten-point differential if Doc can manage to pull some tricks on Steve. ... they build a super team with popular names in the NBA,
.... How Lakers become a super team this season? They are certainly NOT a super team. Super team of veterans. There's no such thing but let's keep it at that hehe.

I expect that he will not get any huge minutes and maybe we can see him do some good action on next season. Klay comeback will make the GSW run more exciting.

Even though the Bulls are good, they are not as great as KD or Steph's teams. DeRozan also does not come close in terms of his impact on the court compared to those two players. He is definitely top 5 in the MVP discussion but I think that the Bulls are thriving because of LaVine as much as this is a result of DeRozan's individual efforts.

Adding Westbrook should not make the Lakers a super team. It's no secret to anyone that there's no perfect pair on Westbrook since then. The expectation to Lakers is not because they are a super team but they should have a tough way to work on their chemistry. Actually, most of their core players are contributing in every game but where's the problem? Number 1, when they are big lead, they are confident. Number 2, they are not playing defense. Number 3, players rotation. If someone is off-night even after playing for almost 20 minutes, the coach should bench them and give way to others regardless if it's a superstar, all-star, or bench. Number 4, there are still missing players which might fill the hole of what's lacking to them, e.g Austin Reeves, Kendrick Nunn, the veteran Trevor Ariza.

Honestly, the Lakers look like a super team only on paper at the moment because they still have big problems with team chemistry. Nevertheless, I just checked the odds, and I'm a little surprised that the bookmakers still consider the Lakers one of the favorites to win the NBA title even despite their poor performances after the start of the season.

You can see the way they play right now, they are not like they used to be when they were won the Championship. They are against the Pacers today which is not that competitive but they still struggling. Looks like if they somehow get to the NBA playoffs, they won't survive the first round like last year. Anyway, NBA it's not all about them. I'm currently watching Suns vs Cavs the best looks like a good match-up cause Suns is attempting to preserve their winning streak today.

I thought the Pacers will win tonight's game because the Lakers are obviously struggling and with the absence of Anthony Davis, that makes things worst. The Pacers are always on lead the whole game and the Lakers just got their first lead on 4-minute mark 4Q courtest of Malik Monk. They make again another rally like what they did in their 2 previous games and this time, the result is a win. Lebron James with a big 39 points and Westbrook added 20. But the one I noticed is that, Coach Vogel gave chance to Malik Monk and Wayne Ellington to showcase what they got. Good thing that someone from the bench stepped up.
