Nets is as great as it was predicted at the start of the season and they now added Kyrie into that line up which means they are only going to get better. However, Lakers are going even worse, I do not know what to say about them, they are definitely not doing as well as hoped for to be fair. I mean the reality is that they are 8th seed right now and there is no excuse for that right now at all. Their lack of passion for the game, the insane amount of turnovers, the huge problems of big names missing shots (yes westbrook) it all comes down to negative issues.

I mean if they didn't get westbrook and kept rondo instead, they would have probably done better for the season if you ask me. Or get Derozan instead, he was free agent and Bulls got him and see how they are doing a lot better this season thanks to him, Lakers could have used him. Or better yet, get a shooter, danny green, hield, or anyone like that would have been awesome.

Yes they are pretty much out. They probably won't make it past the first round even in the unlikelihood that they managed to advance to the playoffs. They would be face either the Warriors or the Suns if they're lucky hehe.

The Lakers losing to the Kings is shameful...  I'm on board with Frank Vogel (one of my favorite coaches) being fired at the all star break.  It's clear his system is not working and he's horrible at managing his talent.  Another great outing by Dwight Howard in extremely limited minutes...  He made all 3 of his shots, was sent to the line 4 times, and grabbed 7 rebounds in under 15 minutes along with having a +/- of +9 in the loss.  It's crazy he's not getting ~30 minutes a night the way he's been playing.  Vogel has got to go.  The talent is there.  If they aren't going to trade Westbrook and AD immediately, they need to dump Vogel.

I thought that the Lakers are going to win this one against the Kings, I mean they should so I would agree that it's a shameful that after a 5 winning streak, they are back in the losing end again. Hard to really pinpoint what is the issue but it could be the Vogel is no longer the coach that is suited for the Lakers because of so many superstars and he don't know who and how to rotate them and still presses with the old process of going with Westbrook when he is committing a lot of TO.

I think folks should just accept that Lakers are not winning the Championship this season. What the lakers should be doing is playing awesome defense and slowing the game down so they can win in the half court. Lebron's offense for another day is elite and his defense for another day is very bad. And you can't blame him of course, he is playing the right way because he can't give you his energy for defense and then can't be elite offenser. Defense takes away a lot from you, much more from anything in the floor. That's why the bests scorer's aren't good in defense.

They are not getting any younger, if they will not win a championship this season then let's expect that we will not anymore see the same line up next season, and I have a feeling that Westbrook will be traded because he was ineffective with the Lakers uniform.

Agree, they are hyped this season, and then it will only result in disappointment, the management would not love that, they may retain Lebron and AD but Westbrook just like last season will be traded again. The Lakers are doing good in their last 10 games but the fans are just hard to please since we are expecting too much from them so now we are disappointed.

I'm with you there mate, I also believe that Westbrook will just end up being traded again or Carmelo Anthony, I mean, we have no doubts about their talent because we already knew about their capabilities. It's just Westbrook isn't accustomed for not being in the spotlight and only supports LBJ who leads and carry the team.
We can't blame the fans for being disappointed because including me, I expected a different gameplay from the Lakers who had lots of star players.

Let's accept the fact early that they'll not gonna win a championship this season, the hype died when they struggle in some games especially against a team that is 0.500 in standing. I would instead cheer my other favorite teams like the Bulls, Warriors, and now the Memphis.

I really don't understand the Lakers...  Dwight Howard has been playing literally at an MVP level this season when he's on the floor, and while he is barely getting any minutes, his impact is obvious.  There must be something going on behind the scenes because I believe Dwight being let go last year is why they didn't make the Finals and now they're talking about trading him!  Absolutely insane.  There has to be stuff going on we aren't seeing.  I know Dwight has been "sus" for quite a while in the league due to various questionable antics, but as a basketball fan I want to see him out there...

He may be one of the most efficient Laker right now but we also have to look at the Dwight Howard trade situation from a long-term perspective. The management have probably given up on the title this season and looking forward to get some fresh legs. It's probably wise to let him go from a business point of view while his stats looks good than later when he's a complete wash up.

Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks have similar forms considering their last 5 games. But GSW are at a better position in the standings too. I hope to see a competitive game first and as much close result as possible. And I think that GSW can defeat Bucks in this game. After Thompson's bouncing back from his injury, Curry seem to have started playing almost as always these times. And if Thompson supports him by a good performance too, they can have an important chance to win.

Boom muh knicks got cam reddish from the Hawks for Kevin knox and a highly protected Charlotte 1st round pick.  Knicks fleeced the Hawks here.  Kid is 22 jumped his 3pt % 10% almost to 40 and is scoring decently when he gets to play.  Just too many players above him.  How the knicks peeled knox for cam is probably one of the first time in a long time knicks we're on the right side of a trade.  College buddies with rj too, hopefully they can cook together here.

Half of the season has already passed, but the Lakers still have problems with team chemistry. It's obvious that their management made a big mistake when they decided to sign a contract with Westbrook. However, I also doubt that the Lakers' results would have been better with Rondo if they had decided to use him as the main point guard.

But I agree with you that the Lakers are not using him fully because of a bad rotation. Even with his previous team with the Sixers, his playing time is still not that much maybe because of inconsistency for several seasons now while switching teams.

Exactly, there's a lot of players in his position in the Hawks roster so sooner or later he has to go. But the kid has some potential and hopefully he can be utilized by the New York team and give him ample time to display his talent. Although New York is already deep, but his addition will stretch it more and could provide another spark for the team in the future.

We've seen him both defense and offense and he really contribute to the team. He can still go for a block shot, change the shots or intimidate everyone going inside. But I guess the Lakers are heading or shall I say experimenting again, with Lebron playing center at times.

We've seen him both defense and offense and he really contribute to the team. He can still go for a block shot, change the shots or intimidate everyone going inside. But I guess the Lakers are heading or shall I say experimenting again, with Lebron playing center at times. 

Lebron can play as a center but it's not effective for the team as he usually brings the ball to create a play. Also, playing as a center, might make him injury prone and we don't want to see that for the Lakers as it's automatic "out of the playoffs" without him.

The problem? It's the missing piece, and that's Draymond Green. The heart of the whole GSW offensive and defensive play. So many people underestimate him because of his trash talks and lack of shooting skills but that is not where he excels. He's a premium defender and a leader who can make a big difference whenever he steps on the court. 4 losses out of 5 games they played and Green missed 3 of those. Let's see if it will be different once he is back.

Grizzlies on the other hand are on a different level now. Their chemistry is so high that it doesn't matter if Ja Morant scores high or low as long as they can win the game. The ball is distributed well and 5 players have double digits in points.

That's what I thought too, but unfortunately, the Warriors has been defeated today by the Milwaukee Bucks. I really thought that this would be a tough game too see like we're already watching the Finals game but the Bucks was too dominant and aggressive especially Middleton that scored 23 points and Giannis who made another triple double today.
I think Curry was still tired from the Grizzlies game as we can see that he's not that energetic since the 1st quarter and only made 12 points until the end of 4th quarter.

Grizzlies have been nice to watch play since the opening of the season and when Ja Morant came back, they like gonna be a top contender in the western conference since they beat GSW with Klay Thompson. If they continue such kind of play, then they have some high chance to go to the NBA finals instead of the teams we have speculated to reach it. Now they are 3rd in the western conference, now if they continue to win like this, they could be in the top 1 and make their own winning streak record as well.

I think it will take some time before the splash brothers will find their chemistry. They have been practicing together but real games are entirely different. As we can see in the stats, Klay Thompson's shooting is very bad same with Stephen Curry, when these two will struggle, then most likely the team will lose.

Whoever made this decision do have a brain problem or he is blind.  They are always looking at stats and not the impact of each player. The rim is protected well because of Dwight Howard and it gives chills to whoever tries to attack the rim. I don't have any idea if this is a locker room problem or it is just the management who is foolish enough to even trade him.
Frank Vogel is known for his defensive mastery and Dwight is the one that reflects that. I think they are trying to be an offensive team now which I doubt will get a championship. They should remember its not the offense that made them win a championship, it's how Dwight played being bully in the paint.

He is very effective in the paint, the old Lakers who won the championship seasons back are better than the Curry. Howard is definitely a big help to that achievement and the reason they get him back is they want to get his contribution again, but if the coach will not maximize his minutes, then that's really a wrong decision and we see the result of that.
