Allstar weekend started well. I think the first day's event was good. Team Barry wins Clorox Rising Stars, Cade Cunningham named MVP
The real fun day will be today. My favorite and best-watching events for years are on the 2nd day. I hope the dunk contest goes well, the player who deserves it wins. Last years we didn't see good dunks enough

Luckily Davis will be able to come back soon, so as long as Davis is with the team in the play-in tournament, the Lakers still have a chance to get the last spot in the playoffs. They are not as we are expecting them to be, before the season starts, they are 2nd of the top favorite to win the championship, next to the Nets, but look at these two teams, they are at the bottom of standing.

The important thing right now is to have that spot to continue moving forward. It's good that Davis will be there to help LeBron and the

rest of the Lakers to compete with that play-in tournament, we don't know if what might be the turned out but hopefully even I'm not a fan

I like to see them in the playoffs, it would be an intense competition whoever team they'll be facing if in case they will manage to win and

face the team who's waiting for them.

Stay cool for now, just enjoy the All-Star weekends and bet with the players / team that you think will give you decent odds.

The Los Angeles Lakers might have changed their gameplay once able to successfully earn a slot in the playoffs. Maybe their bad games this season will be changed into good ones in a series match.

Unfortunately, they have to face the top teams in the first round of the playoffs.

I might put a bet on them to win on their first-round playoffs regardless of what team they will face. I'm expecting at least over @5-7 odds to win the series.

Yeah, hopefully we will see a great competition in the slam dunk as this is one of the most anticipated because it bring backs memories of Michael Jordan and Vince Carter and other great dunkers in the NBA's history. My favorite for this year is Jalen Green and hopefully he won't disappoint his fans or others could give us something that we haven't seen before.

Jalen Green is overrated to me. He is a high flyer but I doubt he has that creativity. He's like Dennis Smith Jr. for me in terms of dunking performance.

The same observation. Ever since that he's got drafted, people have thought of high expectations towards him. They should spare him and let the boy play without expecting too much. But let's us see if this is going to be his day.

Don't expect too much entertainment from the Slam Dunk contest to the point that all dunks will be good. Of course, I'm enjoying it but not on the highest level. No doubt that the majority of Dunk Contest is crap, as even considered by others, not until the like of Lavine, Gordon put up a great show.

With this year's Slam Dunk, I hope they will surprise us with new dunks on their sleeves.

Jalen Green is a good and talented player in NBA and it's fit for him to enter the Slam Dunk contest as he has the talent to jump high and gain more style in dunking contests. Yes you are right that mate that The history of Michael Jordan or air Jordan in the NBA Slam Dunk contest had never been broken for now. Many dunkers has good style but in this competition only one will be the king.

Suns still continue to tear their competitors apart one by one. Their last game was against Rockets and they won by a close margin like 124-121. Rockets are the most terrible team of this season now. But they still competed very well against Suns here. Suns are one of the number one contenders for the title already now. But we will see what happens in the playoff stage. Maybe Suns are going to make it this time after losing the title chance in the final last season.

I still cannot believe that the Suns are so powerfull last 2 seasons in the NBA from out of nowhere honestly . Last year they were pretty close in the play offs im intrested to see if they can try and win it this year. Some solid teams are in the NBA but no one is really good

Suns are *really good*.  In a seven gane series I really can't see anyone beating them in the West.  They are solid in all positions and have depth to back it up in case of fouls or injuries.  As long as cp3 is running point that team is great.

Just heard Anthony Davis is going to be out for awhile again.  Said it in the beginning of the year this team is way to old to compete for anything deep into the playoffs.  Just too many miles on too many guys here, can't keep up with the young fresh legs.  If it weren't for the bottom half of the western conference being so bad I'd say they won't even male the play in games

Yeah, looks like he's out of action for at least another 4 weeks. By the way, I agree with you that older players are more prone to injury, but not in this case. I mean, Anthony Davis is only 29 years old, and he gets injured a lot more than his older teammates. I even wonder how many times he has already been injured this season. It seems to me that this has happened 3 or 4 times.

There's history, that's why. Back and shoulder and leg injuries. Then, big men are prone to injuries and most of the time it becomes a career-ender if it doesn't heal at full scale. Thankfully, there will be a week of rest because of the All Star but it would not suffice for his come back.
Betting against them after the break would be the wisest decision if ever they are up against strong teams. Because they had been winning with Davis around but not when he is out. They are in the 9th seed but all teams behind them are not that strong so I am sure they will enter play-in tournament which is their only chance for reaching the playoffs.

All Star break or not he is out for like a month from the reports.  That puts more pressure on giving minutes to the older crew which will break them down.  Building a team on age requires massive depth which the Lakers don't have.  Id hate to see them win the playing only to have to get embarrassed by the Suns most likely in the first round.

Does it mean that Eastern Conference has a deeper lineup compared to those at the West wherein you already put the Phoenix Suns as the team to beat or should I say, no team can beat them in Sever-game series?

I might agree with you if we are just sharing speculations but maybe there will be an unexpected team in the West that will surprise us once the playoffs come like last playoffs where no one, or only a few, expected that Bucks and Suns will meet at the Finals.

It is nearly the time for watching a great show in the All-Star event this year. Team Lebron seem to be a more solid team now. I know that it doesn't matter which side wins but I still expect Team Lebron to win this game. The most important thing here is the show itself. And it is not all about the main game of course. There are going to be a dunk contest and a 3-pointer contest too for example. I'm looking forward to watching these events also. It is very good to watch dunk contests especially. Some players really mesmerize me by their talents.

I also checked the 3-point contest and was surpised Zach Lavine is there. Looks like he still wants more awards and I may bet a little on him.

Since his arrival at the Chicago Bulls, his shooting stroke becomes more efficient and his points are mostly come now from doing perimeter and 3 points shots. It's good that he has that improved skill since not all the time, he can just leap and leap with his great leaping ability.

I'd actually be interested in seeing a Warriors and Lakers matchup in the playoffs.The views would be insane and the energy would be crazy in both courts. When Stephen Curry,Klay Thompson,Klay, Kevin Durant involved in the game, you know its always an iconic game..

It will be very interesting game to watch , this are big teams that have wonderful players who are professional in basket ball.  So the game will be interesting and tough at the same time, their will be massive scores from the both teams, warriors and lakers has been my favourite teams  in the NBA.

That might be true, but the chances of Lakers to win the series against the Hot Warriors are quite low. I mean we all know that this season, the LA Lakers have been struggling and still trying to figure out what to do to make the roster great in every game. Time by time, Lakers are showing some improvements but I think it is a bit too late, aren't they? Especially now that the regular season is already over.

With the contestants' names, I don't think we are really going to see one heck of a dunk that is jaw-dropping. There are so many high flyers out there but I doubt they picked the right guys. Obi Toppin? JTA?
The 3 point shootout might be entertaining though with new names playing, unlike what we got used to.

Honestly when the rising star challenges does better than the celeb game, that is always a plus for the NBA, because normally the rising stars games are too much "fun" and not enough competition and it wasn't really that much entertaining to watch some superstars end up not caring about it, yes they are young kids and not all-star players but they are still the cream of the crop in the levels to play for NBA and be the best young players and for the past few seasons it was all about fun and their fun turns out to be not fun to watch.

Celeb games normally end up being better because there are entertainers there, Kevin Hart literally dominated the fun part of it for years, and this year's wasn't too bad neither but Rising Stars finally competed and that made it so much better.

I'm rooting for Jalen Green to win the Slam Dunk competition this time around, he's been an explosive and athletic guard ever since even when he wasn't yet in the NBA. I think it will never be boring this time considering we've got exciting participants right now, and, they should invite dunker judges rather than just plain veteran players, just my two cents.

It's easy to decide on who will win as soon as we see them making dunks, even the fans could tell who should win but you have a point, they can invite dunkers but not necessary that all the judges are dunkers. Anyway, I see some clips on his dunks and he really is very impressive, so good luck bettors, hopefully, he will get this big win.
