~ and who knows, Lebron might get traded.
Honestly, I want to see this happen Maybe the thought of getting kicked out would spark a new fire in his belly. Unfortunately, I don't think the Lakers have the guts to do that. Exactly, Lebron being a hall of Famer won't be easily ditched out by the Lakers, that would not help his reputation and the Lakers itself. His numbers are still good, it's just that his teammates are inaccurate, maybe they have to start changing the coaching staff.

I guess that Lakers felt the absence of Anthony Davis last night and that's why they barely lost to Mavericks by 104-109 home. Mavericks were already being favoured to win and they did what was expected. Doncic had a decent performance in this game too by 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. This wasn't one of his best performances maybe but it was still enough for a win here. And as always, Lebron was the most scorer of his team by 26 points and made a double-double too by having 12 rebounds. But they still lost by a small score gap.
Davis has been absent for awhile already, and even if Davis was still playing before, the Lakers are still inconsistent. Losing to the Dallas Mavericks, it's not a surprise because the team is a playoff team and Luka is really impressive as a player. Dallas are in a winning streak, so they are hot as a team and they'll probably continue their great run. Dallas in 2 winning streaks while Lakers already in 3 losing streaks. Luka is playing great, that follow up dunk after he fell down and the ref didn't call any foul. That's wild. He's more on involving his teammates, a kind of playmaker who you would love to play with. I remember Jason Kidd that the kind of game he played before. He can attract defense and find the open man or create his shot with a high percentage to make a basket. Looks like Mavs is more comfortable without KP?

As for the Lakers, losing 3 in a row again and sitting at 9th place in the West. So not good position that they are in, for sure they will go in play-in again in order to survived their season.
The Lakers might win the play-in and occupy the 8th seed, but I doubt If they can pass the round 1 against the top seeded team. Suns, Gsw, or even Grizzlies can send them to a 1st round exit. The Lakers has almost no chance for the playoffs this year. They need to rebuild their team, get rid of WB and AD replace them with a good supporting cast. They can keep Melo and Monk as well. If Davis will be healthy in the play-in tournaments then maybe they can defeat the Timberwolves or the Clippers who is currently at the 7th and 8th seed. Now if he will be injured again then its over for them because I don't think that they can even defeat not even the Pelicans if he will not play. I agree that the Lakers has no chance of winning the playoffs with how they are playing and just by seeing their roster, they have the experience yes but they don't have the capabilities anymore to defeat those top teams right now. If Lebron still needs to stay with the Lakers then they must let him stay and get rid of AD and WB. AD is injury prone and WB isn't fit for the team which makes them an average team. Get younger players and develop them "again". I quoted the word again because they already have Caruso, KCP and Kuzma but they let them go and now they are playing better than they are when they are still in the Lakers.

As per the report, it says that he will be able to return soon but the frustration of the Lakers has been growing and that might not help them especially in tough situations like in the play-in tournament.

Speaking of Anthony Davis, personally I’m hoping the lakers will grow apart as there’s a lot of AD to the Bulls chatter / trade rumors going on right now. Lot of talk for like Coby White, DeRozan and a first round pick for him. As a bulls fan I’m of course rooting hard for this (as unrealistic as it may be).

I do not understand why it should be impossible. Lebron has only one year left on his contract, and its ending next season. So any team that gets him, will pay for him just for one year, and then he will probably leave to the team that drafts his son. During that single year, I am %100 sure that he would sell more jerseys than the 40+ million dollars he is getting paid. In that situation, why would any team not want him? Some people think that championships and wins are important, but remember that these are businesses in the end, and just like any business they do care about making money. Some people may want to spend a bit more for championship, but they do that to make that money back. Look at GSW, they spent some money and they got that back tenfold even during their down year. Iran bonny might get drafted on ne alone but he isn't a lock to make the NBA. He has his struggles as a high schooler it's not like he is dominating night in and night out. But as far as lebron I'm not saying he stays on the Lakers but If he doesn't I would think Cleveland would be the only other place he would want to go. He isn't going to want to go to a pre-built team for the finals and just be a side piece of that. And as far a Cleveland goes do t know if they would want him back. They are building a nice young team and throwing lebron in the middle of that might do more harm then good.

It would be stupid if Cleveland will still sign Lebron, now that they are doing betting, for sure they won't let Lebron ruin their chemistry. Lebron was the franchise player of Cleveland, he left and came back, and then he left again.. so I don't think he still deserves a 3rd chance. I don't know but I have a feeling that Lebron will stay with the Lakers and will retire in Laker uniform.

Disagree. Cleveland will surely welcome him with open arms. Remember what Dallas Mavericks did for Dirk Nowitzki? Although the difference is Dirk was the Mavs franchise player so he deserves it. Lebron is from Ohio so, Cleveland Cavaliers will find a way to sign him and make him retire in his home team even if they will spend some money. Besides, it might be good for business like ticket sales, jerseys and caps. My prediction is, he will come back there but it will be the last year of his career.

Yeah, I think it will be better if Lebron goes back to Cleveland the second time around. And what will be the chances of him giving the city another championship run? no Kyrie but there will still be Kevin Love? Anyhow, let's see how it goes for Lebron's career, he could stay with the Lakers and let the management do their job by bringing fresh talent to help him out win another ring before finally retiring.

It's not that the Cavaliers management is not going to welcome him, it's that I don't think that he will go there after his Lakers stint, that is, if he decided to move out. But it seems he has a good rapport with the Lakers management, it's that they've got it wrong with the players that they have gotten for this reason. They acquire veterans and experience players that didn't help, especially Westbrook, chemistry ins not there. Perhaps he won't leave LA if they rebuild the team next season around him.

Lakers - Mavericks was really delightful last night and Mavericks managed to win by a close score difference like 109-104. Mavericks were already far stronger than Lakers though but still Lakers fought back against them really well. But Lakers are still not very good now. Lebron tried to carry the team but it was in vain. Davis wasn't able to play due to an injury too but nothing much changes when he is able to play too. Lakers really need to revolutionize the team before the next season to play big I think.

I thought that the Lakers will have a good chance to win this game against the Mavericks as they rally and try to get back in the game and even take a lead going into the 4th. But the Mavs stays with them, never allow them to have a good lead, it was just manageable around 4-6 points and then they kept on pouring 3's. And then Luka take's over even if James is guarding him.

I don’t think anyone thought that such an athletic player would have a good ending to their career, but it’s hard to watch someone who was once so great now be unable to make a shot. I think Russ may see a buyout in his future. The way he’s playing is not only a liability on the floor, but his contract is detrimental to the team’s ability to sign new talent. I don’t think John Wall would be any better either, but it seems a change is warranted at this point.

Maybe he won't return but I still agree that Cleveland will welcome Lebron again if he decides to come back. Let's not forget that it was more hostile when he first left compared to the second. He was instrumental in their historic title so the fans are more forgiving now.

Bucks - Heat can be a really interesting game tonight and Bucks are the favourite by an odd like 1.55 now. They played against each other three times so far in this season. Heat played two home games and won both. And Bucks played one home game and won it too. And here, Bucks are the home team again. I think that they will get another win but I still expect a really competitive game and a small score gap at the end. And my expectation from Giannis will be really big in this game. When he shows a solid performance, they win mostly.

Lakers definitely deserves to sit this one out. I mean it is clear that they are not good enough to matter during playoffs. So why would they work themselves harder and play in the playing tournament and then maybe get lucky and be in the playoffs first round and play 4 more games just to get swept? Just take an early break, stay away from the playoff this year and figure things out during the summer. It is clear that they are not going anywhere meaningful with this team.
Westbrook is HORRIBLE, AD is gone all the time, and Lebron can't do anything all by himself anymore. I still think Lebron is good, he is not bad at all, he is great, but not good enough to carry a team of role players to finals anymore, it is not that lebron anymore.

The Bucks @1.55 didn't make sense to me when I checked the odds at first by this explains why. I think that they will get another win but I still expect a really competitive game and a small score gap at the end. And the bookies agree. Bucks - 6.5 is already @ 2.26 which is pretty high already. I was planning to bet on total of over 225 but I don't really know what to expect of this game. Both teams are decent at defending and scoring. Lakers definitely deserves to sit this one out. I mean it is clear that they are not good enough to matter during playoffs. The problem here is they are the Lakers and they have pride and image to protect. Fans will be more disappointed if they can see there's still a chance but the team decides to quit on them.

If they have LeBron, they have a chance... Obviously they're struggling right now, but they've been dealing with injuries all season. They have the talent to go far in the post season, they just need to get Brody out of his slump, get AD healthy, get Dwight more playing time, and Kendrick Nunn still hasn't taken the floor for them this season. Nunn was supposed to be one of their starters and a big piece for the team. It isn't a shock they've been struggling without him. Not saying he's the greatest, but he does seem to be a missing piece. I hear he could return this month, and AD may return next month. If all goes well we could see a healthy Lakers team enter the playoffs, which would be dangerous for any opponent.

Regardless if LeBron is not on his prime anymore, or the team is currently doing good, it's not the basis why Cleveland Cavaliers will still agree to have LeBron James back. They highly recognized LBJ to the point that all deep and strong hate from this man before now turned into love. And just because of that reason you have mentioned, I found out it out of the context to prevent him from being signed with the team. LeBron James is almost close to retirement. The Cavaliers will surely want him to return and retired there with his remaining season regardless if Bron will destroy the chemistry of the team as others think. It's a great tribute. However, there's no sign yet that LeBron will leave the Lakers for now. He's still competitive and will do his best to help the Lakers.

I still hope that the Lakers will keep trying to reach the playoffs. However, the problem is that they still don't have team chemistry, and sometimes it seems to me that LeBron is the only player on the team who really wants to win. Obviously, he will not be able to take the team to the final series because his teammates are absolutely unwilling to help him.
