Memphis Grizzlies has made history again by winning the game today against the San Antonio Spurs which made the Spurs out again in the play-in tournament. The Memphis Grizzlies have won the Southwest Division for the first time ever. They are strong without their star player Ja Morant and even stronger when he is on the court. This young team has a promising future in the upcoming playoff tournament and they have all the means to turn things around and win a championship this season.

That's a nice stuff for the Grizzlies even though Ja wasn't there to play the game. I just hope they'll be able to showcase this during the playoffs when they need it the most and the pressure is more superb. I wouldn't doubt them but playoff atmosphere is on a different league.

The game between Cavaliers and Mavericks drew my attention a lot last night. It was an important game for both sides in fact. Because if Cavaliers won, then they were going to have an important victory for top six. If the opposite happened, then Mavericks were going to consolidate their place in top six. Thanks to especially their performance in the third quarter, Mavericks won by a result like 120-112. And they have guaranteed qualifying for 1/8-finals now. Doncic was great again by 35 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists.

Lakers are lucky the Spurs also lost their game against the Grizzlies in a close battle.
The ball rolled in the ring and went outside, Keldon Johnson devastated as he lay on the floor. But that was an amazing game they showed and I really wish that ball went in.
That win could've been separated them from the tie in the 10th seed with the Lakers.
While on the Lakers side against the Mavs yesterday, meh.   Doncic dominated the game.

Yeah, that what an ouch moment, with Johnson missed that shot. A very good and deceptive play by the Spurs and they executed it very well to perfection it's not that ball didn't fall for the Spurs. It was a valiant effort though, I have the Spurs +5.5 when I sense that they are going to come back from the deficit, so a good win for me.

IIRC, Memphis beat the Warriors in the play-in tournament but they lose in the first round.

It was a lesson learned for them, and they really make that as an inspiration to get better, and like what expected, they now belong to the top 3 teams in the West and of course, I believe they'll pass the first round as a sign of improvement.

Pops still have that kind of slick play, truly one of the greatest coaches. Written well, execution is near perfection. He may just have put more English in that ball that's why it rolled. That feeling might've sucked for him as it was just there, the big win to be on top of the Lakers.
What I love is how the Grizzlies are not just giving any win to any team. They may be the number 2 seed now and protected for a playoff spot but if someone wants to steal a win from them, they have to earn it. They always play hard no matter what so I guess the Spurs will appreciate that instead of glooming over that missed layup.
6 games are left and the next two should be easy ones. Back to back in their home against the Trail Blazers.

What worse with them is that, their 7 games will be one of the hardest and the deciding factor as well whether they will enter the play-in tournament or not. Just see their remaining games and 5 of them are from the top teams right now.

With regards to them being a failure, its pretty obvious that they are. Many are expecting that they will at least win the championship but now look what is happening with them. There is also a chance that they can't even enter the play-in since they are 11th if they will continue to play like this. I think I will agree with what others is saying here that they will not enter the play-in because of their schedule and the absence of their players when they need them the most. Lets move on with them I think and talk with other teams as well. Many are talking about the Lakers too much that we forgot other teams already.

Lakers need to win their next game so they would go ahead of the Spurs, right now, they are still in danger of losing the opportunity to play in the play-in tournament. Lakers next game is against the Jazz, this is a tough game for them, but they need to win.

I just made a quick google search into what is the record of LA Lakers when they are playing on the road and its quite disappointing to see.
Out of the 37 road games so far, they only won 11 of it and lost 26 with a total win percentage of 29.7%. You can see it here.

What's even worse is that the 5 of the 7 games that they are playing is the top teams and with that 5 games, 4 of them will be played in their own home court that means Lakers will play on the road against the top teams in their remaining schedule. Just by seeing at their win-loss record, I don't want to expect too much with this Lakers team anymore. They are done this season. The next 2 games of Spurs are against the Blazers which is struggling right now though the remaining 4 are against the top teams as well.

They had already played with a low performance all year and they caught a new losing streak all the time. Almost but the game is for Memphis, the ball didn't gave the spurs that luxury to adjust and have a little edge against the Lakers.

It was an amazing set play coming from coach Pop, he really have that brilliant mind setting and almost a perfect execution if only the ball

went in, but luck is on the side of Memphis and now they are enjoying the second spot, Ja'-less  Memphis but still escape and win the game.

I don't think the Suns match up well against the Lakers.  If I were them, I'd be hoping that the Spurs end up in that play-in tournament.  Nobody wants to come across LeBron and AD in the playoffs...

Every game is becoming more and more important as the Lakers are now back in the play-in with the Spurs loss last night.  The Lakers are playing the Jazz tonight, and you can bet they'll be bringing their A game as they have the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA.  You can watch the game on TNT (like I will be) and it's the second of a doubleheader featuring the Bucks and Nets in the first game.  A good night for basketball...  I hope LeBron is back.

So I wanted to see the Lakes against the Suns though,I don't know, but I have this vibe that if by chance AD will play it will be a good series and I'm not seeing the Suns sweeping the Lakers. We will see next season, if coach Vogel is still having his post as Lakers coach. But for sure there will be a lot of playing shifting around, and I don't see Westbrook or even Carmelo next year.

Carmelo is gone but they'd have to find someone to take on Westbrook, they couldn't just release him with that contract too much dead money.  If I were them I'd part ways with a future first rounder hoping you are good enough that then it would only be something in the twenties.  Need usable players immediately.  Lakers are a win now with lebron and AD on the team.

With that win, Spurs is 2 games win behind the 9th and 10th. They are still alive at the play-in tournament. Pelicans are now tied with the Lakers. From the current standing, we can already picture out what will be the teams to compete in the play-in picture.

The Spurs' next 4 games are against Rockets, Grizzlies, and Blazers 2x. They should handle these teams except for the Grizllies without a problem.

It looks like the Spurs will have a very good chance to move up to 10th place in the standings if the Pelicans lose to the Lakers in the upcoming match. Furthermore, there are only 8 games left until the end of the regular season, so there could be a very intense struggle between these teams for the last place in the play-in tournament.

I'm not very good in terms of the NBA, but I am clear that the Pelicans have a very difficult time beating the Lakers, it's like something that internally says that it is much more likely with great security at all costs that they will win, however when we speak of the Spurs if I think they will go up, tenth is not bad, also with all this that remains of the season the results can be given, why not, this is the NBA.. Of course, in this case the Suns are at another level, it is likely that Spurs will be next to the Lakers in the general classification, the remaining games can make a difference without a doubt.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Dallas Mavericks... This was quite important for each team to consolidate their place in top 6 or enter it. Cavs needed a win here to continue fighting hard for top 6. And Mavericks needed this win to consolidate their position in here. After a fierce clash, Mavericks won by an eight-point gap. And they owe this win mostly to Luka Doncic as always. He was very near making a triple-double as well. Mavericks can do a really good job in the playoffs but we'll see.

I think Lakers main problem is that they bringed Westbrook with such a high salary and spilled more wins then he gaved. He dosent give anything good to Lakers and if Lakers want to do something next season they need to get rid of him and bring some fresh new players
