^^ Is Lebron or AD contract gonna expire as well next year? If that is the case, then maybe, just maybe either one of them are going to leave as well? What are the chances of that? So they should trade bait Westbrook to get a new player that will help more and understand his role if Lebron or AD chooses to stay and make just one more round at the championship. They don't want to end their stint with the Lakers in a bad note.

Davis has a contract until the 23/24 season, and he has a player option for the 24/25 season while LeBron's contract expires next year. However, it seems to me that Lebron will probably re-sign a new contract with the Lakers for at least another couple of seasons. As for Westbrook, I expect he will most likely leave in the upcoming offseason, although he also has a player option for next season.

He stated before that he will go on the team which draft his son but its little bit tricky to think which team will it be and also LBJ didn't show any sign that he will leave lakers so I guess he might re-sign another contract to Lakers and play for more years on this team. For Westbrook most provably Lakers management will find ways to dispose him and get another big names on the league but I also guess that they will struggle on this knowing that Westbrook got huge contract and other team will doubt about it as he didn't produce quality number this season.

I would say that if they have to play in the playin tournament, then they do not really have to play there at all. We all know that Lakers wouldn't be suddenly playing from 10th seed and beating everyone to finals. Which means that they are just doing horrible and they will either lose during the playin or during the first match up of the playoff series as well. That is the proof that you do not really even need the playing tournament at all.

Spurs on the other hand could gain a bit of playoff experience for the young kids, the last possession of grizzlies game showed that they really need a "buzzer beater" type of player, and playoff could give them some extra experience. They will lose too, no chance they could win, but at least they are young enough to learn from that.

Grizzlies are a really impressive team in the regular season. I wasn't expecting them to be this much good even in the middle of the season. But here we are seeing them at the second place in the Western Conference. Their place in the 1/8 finals round is already secured. And by the way, they are the team that have second most wins in the regular season so far. And they continue to win even in the absence of Ja Morant. I believe that it proves a lot about them. Above all else, they are a solid team now and not depending on only him.

Yeah exactly.

I'd rather have the Spurs get into the playoffs rather than the Lakers. The Lakers are too old and too washed up to make a difference.

They are simply not going to have enough gas in the tank to sustain a lengthy playoff run in my opinion, let alone do well in any of the games that they are in.

The Clippers will also be an interesting candidate in the middle of things with PG and potentially Kawhi back.

Let's look clearly at the Lakers' situation this season. When Russell Westbrook is playing good, the Lakers' winning rate is above 85%. The problem is not about Westbrook alone but how Vogel gives time to his players. Since he was experimenting, he didn't make some reshuffling to the players' rotation until he got the right mix. Sometimes Vogel always uses most of his players for the first time in the second half or late 1st half. The fuel of that player is still cold since he didn't allow those players to play early to pump their adrenalin.

The Lakers need to trade Anthony Davis, not Russell Westbrook. Change the coaching staff, especially the head coach. I'd rather trade an injury-prone compared for a player that trying their best to win even how hard it is amid lots of negative criticism.

A good night for basketball...  I hope LeBron is back.

Lebron James is listed as OUT on that game that's why we can see it everywhere, especially in the basketball discussion community that the Lakers are now done for. They have a tough schedule on their remaining games which I think, it's only against OKC where they can establish a win out of 7 remaining games.

San Antonio Spurs have a chance to take advantage of their next two games against a much weaker Portland Trail Blazers. If they won those 2 games that's already an advantage for them to pass the Lakers.

Without Lebron, the Lakers will be a practice game for the Utah Jazz but I make a bet for the Lakers on this game, a final one maybe. Smiley

If ever the Lakers got into the playoffs and pass the play-in, they will probably face the Phoenix Suns in the First Round.

We might see a replay of their embarrassing loss like what happened last year. They don't have an answer against the dominance of the Phoenix Suns. In other words, it might be a sweep, and the Lakers, especially LeBron will be again facing some negative comments adding to his portfolio of 0-4 First Round Playoffs exit.

The Lakers just have to be ready next season. It's fine to lose. They did their best after all.

If I will pick between Davis and Westbrook into which one will be traded with them, I think I will go with Davis as well.
Being an all-star caliber is pretty much useless if you are injury-prone. We've seen many players who are all-star players but their career just got wrecked because of injuries. In Davis' situation, he is very injury-prone that I see him as a liability to the Lakers this season.

Changing the coaching staff will also help since the current roster and the coaching style of Vogel isn't match. Vogel is known for his defensive strategies and most of the players right now in the roster are more on the offensive one. The question though is if they will change him, who will be the new head coach and right after this season I'm pretty sure many will wait into what will happen to the Lakers in the off-season. Who will be traded and will Lebron leave the Lakers? Cheesy.

This Bucks vs Nets game is turning out to be a nailbiter. Giannis is having an impressive game and just managed to get his team a small lead. Durant is getting swarmed every time he touches the ball. You can see how Ben Simmons would be useful for bringing the ball up the floor. Watching this game it seems like the Nets are totally dependent on Durant collapsing the defense and then finding the open man. This feels like a playoff matchup and you can see that Durant and Giannis are a level above everyone else. I wish we got to see Ben Simmons in this game.

That was a very nasty double flagrant from Middleton. Luckily Brown fell straight and didn't get harmed. It may be a serious injury if he fell wrong.
Giannis is alone now despite playing a very good game with 37 points already. I guess it's over for Bucks. KD took the charge after Kyrie and scored some important points in last quarter. This Nets is scary for any other team in play-in. I don't think any teams want to match them.

That was a scary moment. Same with Durant getting his ankle kicked at the end there. The Bucks held on and won in overtime without Middleton. Giannis was just too much. That three to put them into overtime was something that he’s added to his game recently. I think Giannis might have shown himself to be the MVP with that performance. They just gave him the ball and got out of the way for that last play. Then he showed he could not only hit 3s, but he can bury his free throws as well. Good game for the Bucks. We’ll see this matchup again in the playoffs I’m sure. Hopefully with Ben Simmons in the game.

What a battle that was (Bucks vs. Nets) with 13 lead changes and 7 ties. I was rooting for the Nets but can't do anything when Giannis could send the game to OT with a clutch three.

With that loss, it became harder for the Nets to catch 6th place Raptors. They will most likely settle for the play-in tournament and sweep the Cavs Grin Maybe it's too early but I cannot wait when Nets and Bucks meet in round 1.

Giannis did everything to get that win, it was an incredible comeback. It was like a play-off game, I hope to see more matches like these next days. Right after this game finished I switched to Clippers - Bulls and we saw another overtime. DeRozan played big and dropped 50. He could've finished the game early but missed one free throw in normal time. Still they played better in overtime and got the win. We watched two great final moments of these matches and Eastern Conference teams showed how competitive play-offs will be.

Giannis is indees a beast by defeating back to back both the current favorite team 76ers and Nets. He score both 40+ points  in the games that result to a come back win in the last quarter. I remember Giannis is always playing like this whenever the playoffs is around the corner. Maybe is already waeming up on the remaining games so that he will be heat up once they face again in the playoffs. Giannis is proven monster before with a lot of physical games with impressive stats. I believe Bucks can still got this ECF slot.

I think it isn't necessary to foul Brown on that play since he already is clear for take-off. I just don't know why Middleton tried to swipe the ball even though he is already at the back and Brown is about to dunk it or shoot.

Either way, the Bucks-Nets match-up was almost the same as they played each other in the 7 game series last season. We might see both of them going with each other when playoffs come but who knows.

First the Celtics and then the Sixers. The Detroit gave an upset to these 2 teams this season especially the Sixers where they scored only 15 points in the 4th quarter. Harden didn't play well but good thing is Embiid is there still with 37 points. A complete upset :X.

Yeah, he is just showing who should be the MVP right now, against two best teams, specially against Joel who is the favorite to win the MVP race and then against the duo of Durant and Irving. Just a beauty to watch how Giannis turns out to be one of the best players of this generation. They are tied with the Heat on the ECF standing, but I think Miami will get the top seed if both of them ended with the same record.

What a monstrous game again from Giannis, a great escape against the healthy KD and Kyrie. It's indeed a back to back

exciting game from the Bucks and they escape both the hardship winning against very well-known teams that also favorite to win the

west side, though Nets still struggling, to position their place to the next round. But if they'll be given that chance, whoever will meet

them, will have a very tough competition.

I don't think that Khris Middleton has any intentions to harm Brown, the problem is that Brown slowed down a bit enabling Khris to at least catch up with him going upstairs. Nevertheless, it was a bad foul and the referee made a good call for flagrant foul 2 and kick Middleton out of the game. But did you notice that this serve as motivation for the Bucks to come back behind Giannis great performance again to win in OT?
