I haven't bet on NBA games in a long time. I mostly bet on football matches and Euroleague matches. Yesterday I made a coupon for the NBA. I did it by looking at the statistics, but when Denver lost to the New York Nicks at home, my coupon was paid. There is Euroleague today, I hope I can take my loss.

I saw the news about Dwight Howard is playing on the league in Taiwan. There's now a follow up news that a team there too, the GhostHawks are wanting to take Carmelo Anthony to their team.

So, it's very likely that he'll take the sign there and play for that league. I felt bad again for Melo when he's got stuck with no team want to take him just like the past seasons when he's on the same situation.

But hopefully, he gets to sign there and play against Dwight's team.

Carmelo isn't signing in that league.  If he doesn't get signed anywhere here he will just retire.  Most likely he gets picked up mid season.  His wife La La wouldn't live there she likes the LA/NY life.

Who knows. We have not heard of an official statement coming from him on whether or not he accepts the offer or he already had but i missed it lol. Besides, he can actually play overseas with his wife still living in the US. However, if he thinks some team will pick him up mid season, then that should be the main reason why he's not signing, otherwise that offer is actually good than nothing as he still does not consider retiring.
He could still play for a couple of years, and he'll probably going to be a good addition in any of the teams from that Taiwan league.

Dwight is not willing to wait longer, Carmelo is. I think Cousins is also willing to wait before the trade or sign-up deadline. What teams do badly need veterans in their roster?
OKC is one of the youngest team so I think that's where he could be signed. Although they are doing great with SGA being phenomenal and just defeated the Washington Wizards. It's a low chance and if ever it fails, I think Carmelo Anthony should be looking for a new career.
Coaching staff or a trainer will be a good position and he will stay in the sport that he loves.

Why not? just anything that involves basketball and maybe Carmelo can find a job. The thing is that he doesn't have such loyalty to a team, if he just stay like in the Knicks, maybe they will have a place for him.

But anything goes, maybe he can start as as assistant coach on other teams, he has the experience to teach young guys as well.

Tons of technical fouls today from the Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors game. First was Steve, then Curry, Draymond, Wiggins, Lee, and Booker.
And then a flagrant foul 1 was committed by Cam Payne while the game is almost ending. It looks like the friction between these two teams will never end which is good news for us if ever they will meet in the playoffs.
We will witness a more competitive and intense game that might lead to a Game 7.

If he is after the money or if basketball is still in his call, maybe he will swallow that and consider playing outside the US but if pride

With such experiences and dedications, he can really be an assistant coach after when no ones really want to sign him to play. Maybe it will gonna work out for him this time just like the other retired NBA players who actually became a good coach after they retired. I think Howard can be an announcer after he is done in Taiwan because the guy is an entertainer when he playing in the NBA. I'm sure his future is still good when he still want to be a part of the association like Kendrick Perkins and others.

Yes, it's possible and there's a rumor of LeBron going to Phoenix Suns which I think may be a good deal for them and to CP3 to be able to play alongside him. I don't think they'll have that chemistry for a trio if KD will be traded there but I doubt if they'll play alongside with each other.

I do not know if this setup will be successful. First, instead of going younger, getting Lebron together with CP3 gets the team age older. CP3 and Lebron are now getting injuries prone so that will leave Durant playing most of the time. This team composition is good for the tickets but will not win a championship. And what will happen to Booker and Ayton? I think the Suns are building their future on them which I think is better than getting old Lebron and Durant on the team.

It's not Durant and LeBron on the same team to the Suns but only LeBron is what I mean. I don't recall LeBron was that a liability now to the Lakers, the man is averaging 24.9 this season already. AD can give huge contribution to the team so most provably he is the one who want to have by a team that's why there are trade rumors always brought up on his name because unfortunately on lakers at the moment he has a clear value compare to Westbrook where many team avoid because of his bad performance show lately happen on him. But I guess lakers will not interested om this offer since even though AD is injury prone they can still use them and they just need to rehabilitate this big guy.

It's on the Lakers if they want a change but I also think that AD is a great asset to them and instead of him, they can trade the others that they think add no value to the team currently.

I've been reading the articles regarding the likeliness of Melo in playing with the TSG Ghost Hawks of Taiwan and it seems that he will likely finish and retire overseas. Obviously, it's hard to get into the NBA because there is a lot of competition among players, and many teams prefer young players over veterans. However, I still don't understand why NBA teams aren't interested in Melo. Of course, Melo is no longer in his prime, but he's still a good scorer, and he could be a great bench player for a minimum salary.
Honestly, it's sad to see the sunset of the careers of players like Howard and Melo.

Yes, that time, perhaps team wanted to give Carmelo his chance, after all, he might have gain respect from team owners. And so he was given a chance, and he actually did play good in Blazers, but his contract was not extended, and then with the help of Lebron, was able to move to Lakers.

Same thing happened, just another year, he can score, but he can't play defense and maybe that's what keeping other teams from getting him.

I think for majority of them, they are not only looking for scorer, but a two way player that can get into defense as well, and Carmelo doesn't have the legs to play that before he is no longer in his prime.

Well, age is the factor I guess. Whenever the prime players have been aging, they're having fewer opportunities even if they want to play. Just like Dwight Howard, he's said that he's given that many contributions to the Lakers for their championship yet they won't give him even the minimum offer. I think the entire basketball community is upgrading and with these leagues abroad, they're onboarding ex-NBA players.

I am genuinely asking, has Lebron actually made a comment about his intention to play with Bronny? I am really asking if there is an issue like that. If so, I think it is great. But otherwise, maybe we shouldn't expect so much from him anymore. I know he is still in good shape and he is treating his body amazingly, much respect, but he is really old to be a superstar anymore. I mean in the coming years. His trade to Phoenix really doesn't make sense as it is mentioned above, they will be literally too old together. And what will Suns do after they retire soon, immediate rebuilding?

Knicks had a great win in Denver on the road.  Yep Denver was without jokic but going out west in Denver is never easy no matter the lineup.  2-0 on the west coast trip they need to get some wins behind them and clear space between being .500

Thibs is now locked into a 9 man rotation which seems to be working.  They go into golden state Friday night, I'm not expecting much from that visit but that's why they play the games right!  Glad nba is getting underway, fall is always the best season for sports.
