So true, he is the leader of the team, without him, Grizzlies doesn't have that push to win.

In my mind, a leader is a player who has a sense of responsibility to his teammates and tries to do everything to help his team reach new heights, not a player whose actions cause the team to be at the bottom of the standings. In any case, Morant could be back on the court as early as December 19. I think after that, we'll be able to evaluate how his presence on the court affects the results of the Grizzlies.

For sure there will be some positive results if Morant could comeback very early as to prevent the Grizzlies going into the cellar dweller because the West is now loaded with good teams. OKC is coming and so is Sacramento who had matured already this season.

But still remains to be seen how Morant mentality though, I mean it's very tough for this kids and it seems that he is a magnet for anything bad and controversial.

Hopefully, the chance that the NBA has given him? He shouldn't take advantage of it and he shouldn't think that he is above the league.

Sixers use their experience and just like how you described it Embiid shows Chet how legit big men works,
I'm pretty sure he will learn and will try to improve more.

The competition between Chet and Wemby is still by far both really showing everything, and the good thing coaches are helping these
young stars to have all their time to showcase what they've got.

That's how the game works, when you already have every piece in place your winning chance is much better.

Currently I consider Chet Holmgren as the Rookie of the Year. The hype around Wemby is just that hype. Chet is consistently performing well and significantly contributing to the Thunder. When comparing the performance of their respective teams the Thunder with Chet Holmgrem is outperforming Wembenyama's team. The stats speak for themselves; at this moment Chet Holmgren is far different to Wembenyama.

Chet's big contribution to the team's success has clearly reflected in their current standing, which positions them in the playoff spot if they stay consistent. On the other hand, the Spurs have been struggling and are currently on a losing streak. Wemby, perhaps overhyped, seems unable to alter their fate, with the team now enduring an 11-game losing streak. Regrettably, it appears that Wemby's chances of winning the ROY this season are diminishing, as Chet has evidently taken the lead in the competition.

Looking back at the initial odds, Wemby was the heavy favorite, as if bookies were already certain he would win.

Is there a sportsbook that still provides the betting odds for the Rookie of the Year? I'm considering betting on Chet on this one, as I believe his game has shown significant improvement. While Wemby may currently have more shooting opportunities as the primary player in the team, adjustments will likely be necessary, considering their lack of success in this approach, so that would result to his PPG to drop since the focus is to win as a team, not by individual player.

Yeah, if we look at the numbers and how Chet contributed to the OKC team, he could already be the rookie of the year. But we still have a lot of games in our hands and maybe Wemby will have to do something about it to be in the discussion, otherwise, there's no competition as Chet will be the runaway winner specially if the OKC team goes to the playoffs.

I wouldn't say that Wemby is hype though, maybe he is still very raw and perhaps coach Pop can't find the correct chemistry and the missing links so that the Spurs can snap that losing streak, the longest for this season if I'm not mistaken.

https://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/odds/rookie-of-the-year/

It's because of the hype when Wemby came into the league every fans are glued into their sits to see what kind of talent Wemby can give in the NBA. But it's very unfortunate that even with a fresh new start for the Spurs, they are still lagging in the West and we haven't seen the kind of games that we are expecting on Wemby. On the other hand, Chet is just doing his thing with the OKC, and it seems that there are no pressures on him to play that's why he is making great numbers as of this time and we believed that he can beat Wemby for the Rookie of the year.

So I guess it's in the hands of Chet now, if he continues to play this way and help the Thunder win games, then it's hard to deny that he will get the award and somewhat upset the heavy favorite in Wemby.

Doesn’t look like we have any nationally televised games today but there are a few matchups that might make for a decent parlay. I like the Bucks over the Trail Blazers. The Timberwolves over the Grizzlies and the Nuggets over the Spurs. No surprises with those picks but I think together they might be a decent play for the day.

I don't know why they put Chet Holmgren as a rookie this year because he is part of the 2022-2023 draft pick with Paolo Banchero and he won that award last year. Maybe they are giving him a chance because he didn't play last year at all.
He is now on the 2nd spot of the rookie of the year candidates and I think he might really steal this one from Wemby if he keeps on piling up more stats. Wemby on the other hand might feel the unfair decision if ever Chet wins this one. He is the rookie and Chet is supposed to be a sophomore this year.
Anyway, I guess Wemby just needs to play harder if he wants that award so badly for himself.
Their stats are not that far but Wemby seems to be higher in rebounds. If one could make consistent scoring then he might win this race.
The odds are -190 for Wemby and +150 for Chet.

I'm always wrong with futures, and I think the 76ers will win. So probably a good idea to not listen lol.

Yeah! your right, considering the hype and his overall performance this season, the hype won't do anything at all for him until he fills those stats with good numbers every game. Wemby is just warming up and doesn't want to rush everything in terms of stats because he knows the huge risk waiting for him if he does that recklessly on the other hand, Chet is doing awesome, and fate has been favoring him every game, let's just hope to continue watching him play like this because he can't afford to get any major injuries because Wemby will take his place to win the rookie award at any moment.

It looks like Lakers are finally figuring out what they are doing and that should be a good case for them. At the end of the day they have multiple players outside of starting 5 that got some good times as well. This means that they are learning to be a team, they are all aware of their situation.

I still think that Wood should start along with AD as well, people are ignoring that, because if they did, that would be amazing for AD to get the playing the way he wants to and be even better. It also shows that they got a win without Lebron breaking his back carrying the team, he had "only" 22 points, that should be the important case and we could definitely see them doing better if they keep this up. The more players are used, the better the ball will be shared. That is not an easy thing to do and should be something that will be great for them on the long run, it could definitely help them get whoever is hot that day to score and help the team the most.

Shout out to my knicks.  I almost turned the game off but figured it was an inseason tourny game watch to the end.  Down 21 in the third and 17 in the 4th they locked down Jimmy buckets all 4th quarter.  Held Miami to 11 or 12 points all quarter and rampages theor way back to a win at the garden.  Best win of the year so far for them.  Team looks tight.

That was a close game the other night. Nice to see Randle making a few shots after starting off the season with one of the lowest field goal shooting percentages in modern basketball history. They showed they can play with good teams when they have it together. I wouldn’t doubt them making the playoffs this year.

Knicks are definitely making the playoffs if they stay relatively injury free.  There just isn't enough good teams on the bottom half of the eastern conference to keep them out.  Randle eventually has to know this is brunson's team he needs to play second fiddle.  Tonight is a big game against the Suns.  Durant is a game time decisions on if he plays.  Will obviously make a huge difference whether he is on the court or not.

Milwaukee Bucks is unrecognizable now. On the other hand Portland is playing better than expected. The margin is over 20 points at the start of the second half. If the Bucks can come back from this, they'll have done a great job. It's interesting to watch Lillard play against Portland. Bucks need a good momentum before it's too late.

-snip-

I'd be careful putting him up against the likes of Kevin Durant.  He is one of the greatest of "our time" to lace them up.  The kid has skills but let's just all sit back and see how it plays out before we start annoying him.  I do worry at 7' 4" tall and as mobile as he is that he is going to go through his share of injuries.  Just hopefully he stays away from the brutal knee injuries that wreck big men's careers.

For sure it is too early to say that he is like Kevin Durant but we can not take that out of context for Victor Wembanyama, because there are still possibilities, and I think it has already been talked about in this thread, and sure we could be wrong about it for sure and for sure there are Jordan Poole that supposed to be Steph Curry's Successor until he is not for sure many could be wrong with Victor Wembanyama,

I think there was pressure indeed, they really have to win this one and doesn't need to be upset by the Spurs. And as you can see there are no blowouts, the Warriors just play perfectly fine just to win the game. It was Curry who lead the team, Saric I think this is one of his best games as a Warrior and surely the money that they pay this big guy is worth.

Klay though, he really needs to score 20 points or more, he is back to his regular 15 points a game. Kuminga and Wiggins will also need to play big for the Warriors to win close game. It's not all on Curry's shoulder, everyone should work hard and improved his shooting percentage.

For sure this is just the shooting slump for the Golden State Warriors and we all know that there are times when the Warriors are like this most of the players in the team are getting into a slump, even Wiggins for sure is getting this kind of slump but for sure as the Warriors is in this kind of slump the media is going crazy about it saying it is more than just a slump which is very far fetched in my opinion, but I believed you that the other Warriors players should improve and working their asses out and not become Jordan Poole,

For sure he can eventually get that if he works hard for it why not, Chet Holmgren after that last season got an impressive performance because of his experience, and right now he has to get the fruits of his labor so for sure he can enjoyed it so much this season, as his team the Oklahoma City Thunders is getting into a great shape right now,

The Bucks just pulled off a nice comeback win over the Trail Blazers. They were down by 13 entering the fourth quarter but it was no problem for Dame and the squad to outscore the Trail Blazers 33 to 14 in the final quarter to secure the win. Giannis was no slouch either, as him and Dame both scored more than 30 points each.

The Knicks couldn't take advantage in this game despite the Suns being undermanned, missing two of their superstars, and the Knicks playing at home. Suns with Booker (+ -) Durant really playing good basketball here, so even if bookies would sometimes make them as underdog, we can be confident that they have a good chance of winning, I'm wondering what the ML odds for this game?
