Awesome Project! Is MOIN some sort of a privacy coin and can someone explain the shadowsend feature? Is there a white paper?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Can someone explain why there might be a coin swap? And what should I do to ensure my coins are safe, keep them in the wallet?

Thanks for checking it out.  You can find info about shadowsend @ https://doc.shadowproject.io/#shadowsend-v2-0

Can someone explain why there might be a coin swap? And what should I do to ensure my coins are safe, keep them in the wallet?

The reason there might be a coin swap is because many improvements are contained within the PART codebase which can be advantageous to MOIN.  For one example having that upgraded codebase helps position MOIN for interoperability with other chains in the future.  In the case of a swap you would need to actively participate.  So in that way you could not simply forget about your MOIN, have the swap pass, and come back.  However, the swap seems to still be a ways off and KingCaper gave me the impression that the swap length would be many months long when we do reach that phase.

Hey Jookly,

Long time no see my friend, I hope you had a great Christmas and its great to see you back. Thanks for this update, I'm glad that KingCaper is taking his time on this and not rushing into it as he wants everything to go well. MOIN is starting to pick up some momentum now so lets hope this can continue into 2018 which I'm sure will be a great year for MOIN.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Thank you for your response! I always like to check my coins a few times a week so I will be ready when it happens

Thanks Vella!  I did have a really nice Christmas and like you I am really looking forward to what we can accomplish in 2018.

On another note I just noticed that the MOIN Movement Foundation Fund recently received a donation of 50K MOIN. http://explorer.discovermoin.com/tx/c76f1abf0e9c85bc9c4bfcebafa7ad2478721eb310eeb59ebe2f4d26c25a4066  It's awesome to see MOIN is attracting such generous and interested supporters.

Has whitepaper been released for MOIN?

No.

The underlying technology is explained in the following whitepapers:

Bitcoin
Peercoin
Shadow - Encrypted messaging & Anonymous tokens

So now MOIN is finally taking shape...
Like, say XSPEC, it will be a fully featured fork of SHADOW... but also include elements of PART.

A swap will be required in Q1 2018...
And there is no actual whitepaper... only references to other key whitepapers.

I just love it when longshot microcaps show some life  Grin

I just knew that one day MOIN will receive the attention it deserves and it looks like it finally has. I am expecting big things for this coin in 2018 and for us that have been in MOIN for a long time will be very happy. Even at the current price I am still holding because I believe MOIN has a lot more growth ahead once our Awesome dev decides on which direction MOIN is heading in. I can't thank the MOIN team enough for what they have done for this community so thank you all.

The thing is they might call MOIN a scam but do they even have any proof that it is? I never let people get to me and just go with my gut 99.9% of the time. MOIN has been around for a long time now and the dev is still here working on the project so I'm not sure what this person is saying calling it a scam. Maybe they are tired of waiting on the platform and started to spread FUD, I'm happy to keep waiting as I'm sure it will pay off in the near future.
