HI KingCaper

may be you contact with https://www.coinwallet.co
for online-wallet & POS in this service ?

Hey diks, thanks for the suggestion. Someone asked about PoS pools a few pages back - basically, I'm not all that keen on them. It's better for the MOIN network if people stake individually and it's safer if people maintain control of their own funds. For that reason I won't be contacting any PoS pools personally, though of course community members are welcome to do so if it's a service they'd like to use.

Good news everyone, MOIN's been added to CoinGecko (although I think their ranking algorithm might be broken as they have us at number 197  Wink).

It's a great site with various up to date stats and metrics, do check it out.
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/moin

Also if you'd like a MOIN/BTC price ticker widget for your website like the one below, you can get that via CoinGecko too.

I'm glad to see that sending PMs to everyone about the swap seems to be having the desired effect.

SWAP UPDATE

A reminder to anyone who hasn't swapped yet that this will be the last week that you can swap your Moincoin to MOIN at the original rate of 1:10. At 00:00 GMT on Monday 7th March the swap rate will be reduced to 9 MOIN per Moincoin. 10% of the swap funds will also be burned, and the process will be repeated every following week until there is none left.

So if you haven't swapped, please do so at your earliest convenience: https://discovermoin.com/swap

Also please note that if you need to sync Moincoin that our node has moved:

Code:

Thanks for the good updates on coingecko and on the reminder about the swap.

I made a post on www.moinmovement.org with both of those bits of info and also added the coingecko widget to the footer of the webpage.

I also made a Twitter account for Moin Movement and the is over at www.twitter.com/moinmovement

I still haven't gotten around to making the landing page for the stickers but I have not forgotten about it.

Did anyone requested this Moin at poloniex?

I am not sure.  Poloniex is a great exchange though that would be awesome.

It still depends on how the end of the swap goes.  Currently over 4.3 million MOIN remain unclaimed http://explorer.discovermoin.com/address/MbuPpxiv2U2avZLKgodN3wcS9HQL7QuR5P .  So right now there are 4321280 MOIN and that could go up to 8714802.  The chain runs on proof of stake so that adds some coins too.  See the OP for details on that.

At which stage are we know?

Why is the wallet design a rip-off of Shadowcash?

Where is (are) the whitepaper(s)?

Who's behind the coin? What is the coin team?

You'll need to give some reassurance before you get investments...

In my opinion, the rest of the Moin should be burned.

Right now we are in week one of the 10 week swap phase out.  The swap coins are burned in chunks at the end of each week and the end result is all the remaining swap coins burned.

The wallet is a fork of shadowcash https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237881.msg12888357#msg12888357

I don't think I have seen any whitepapers.

KingCaper is the dev.

We have a nice community going if you want to swing by the irc room you can probably get any other questions you have answered.  #moin-crypto http://www.moinmovement.org/chatroom.html

Hey dotabeard, thanks for your interest. MOIN was forked from SDC as we considered it a solid and feature-rich base to build upon. We've customized the wallet a bit but we haven't deviated that far from SDC's design because we really like it. It's a damned good-looking wallet. We'll continue to tweak it and make it our own over time though.

The roadmap in the OP should give you a rough idea of what stage we're at - the superblocks stage has ended and the swap will be wound down over the next few weeks. We'll probably be releasing an updated road map shortly as some time has passed and we've had a few other ideas since the first one was created.

Frankly I think white papers are regularly used as a gimmick in this space, often to add a sense of legitimacy to less than legitimate projects. I'm not opposed to them in principle, but I don't see any point in producing one for MOIN once we have unique technical features that warrant it.

The team at the moment is myself and our graphic designer plus a host of community members who've contributed lots to the project. Moincoin was in a pretty sorry state when we took over but I feel like it has a lot more going for it now.

We've taken an approach that I know isn't the norm here, by not making any big promises in advance. Basically we don't want to be just another one of those projects. Everyone's seen them, fancy graphics, big promises, dev absconds. It's so important to me that MOIN differentiate itself from that sort of thing that I'm more than willing to take the short-term hit as regards people perhaps not wanting to invest because we haven't proclaimed we're on the cusp of blockchain-based pizza delivery or the first node in space or whatever else is being promised elsewhere this week.

At this stage our goals are modest and concrete. HD wallets followed by a revised roadmap. We have longer-term goals and more interesting feature we'd like to implement, but we won't announce them until everything's in place and we're reasonably certain that they can be achieved. If you aren't comfortable investing at this stage that's quite alright, you're welcome to keep an eye on the topic and hang out in the IRC channel #moin-crypto while we continue work on it.   Smiley

*Edit: Thanks for letting us know about the website issue. I've the same resolution and haven't had any problems with it, but I'll pass it along to our designer so that he can take a look.

Have you submitted requests to the exchanges yet?

The new MOIN can be purchased @ C-CEX only at this time....

The old MoinCoin is still at Yobit.

You could still even buy the old coin and still swap it, if the 'price is right'...  you would have to do a little research....

I mean the bigger exchanges like bittrex, polo, ...

It's been submitted to both. I spoke with the guys at Bittrex the other night and from what I gather - if it's not a sponsored listing - then a project really needs to have some kind of unique technical feature(s). Polo seems to have a similar policy. Moin isn't at that stage yet, but we'll get there. I won't stop until we do.

KingCaper, I think it'll be beneficial if we have some unique feature to show for, before extensive marketing.

SWAP REMINDER

At 00:00 GMT tonight the swap rate will be reduced to 9 MOIN per Moincoin. 10% of the swap funds will also be burned at some point tomorrow - the process will be repeated every following week until there is none left.

We're aware that the blocks are moving pretty slowly on the Moincoin network, but as long as the transaction is broadcast and you submit the form before 00:00 GMT you'll get your MOIN at the original rate - regardless of whether it takes several hours for the transaction to be confirmed.
