please, could some explain me why the wallet doesn't purchase another ticket now that the price is low enough?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

@skunk: I had some error while trying to get tickets just now as well. Others had reported similar issues in the Decred forum, and I just followed the sequence that seems to have fixed it for everyone else: - upgrade to 0.0.10 - recreate wallet from seed - consolidate balance
This worked for me. Should you have any trouble with these steps, you'll probably find better/expanded instructions in the Decred forum. Good luck!

@Emilio, you're right. But try to analyze market.
People are NOT buying decred. That's why price is dropping crazy. Even those trolls who just say "i will buy more and more at 0.004-0.005" They are not buying. Market tell us this. Not trolls. Market and volume.
Maybe i'm wrong. But now market just say that noone is buying decred, and sell pressure is major then buy pressure.
Why? Dunno, maybe the release of a GUI wallet is not a kind of update that investors will say "wooow a gui wallet". That's why people are not buyng maybe. There isn't an update that makes people buy now cause is innovative.
Just talking...
THE PANAMA PAPERS made a good job!

This price doesn't even cover the energy bill for mining - that means all the miners move to another coin which means DCR will die slowly
Maybe you shouldn't be mining if you pay >$0.30/kWh Go troll elsewhere

Let us see if the dual miner will bring some of the ETH love to Decred as more Ethereum miners will learn about DCR... But the Ether miners might dump the DRC they mine and that could cause the price to go lower too.

I'm a small miner. I currently mine ETH & Decred. I keep 50% of what I mine and sell 50% as a hedge and to buy mining equipment. Right now I mine just a little decred because there's no gui wallet/staking. When there is one in the near future I'll mine more. Since it is a stake coin I'll hold 75% & sell 25% after a non-cmd line gui is released.
I'm installing the dual miner to see how it does. Mining a little more decred won't cause me to change how I currently buy & sell. But those that have no interest in eth might just sell their eth to buy more decred.

Im getting around 6 Mh/s "extra" due to the new DUALminer. The decred network must have noticed ETH miners now contributing to the DCR-nethash.
Ofcourse there will be more selling of coins. But that is the game, it also brings up volume.
AND
Dont forget all the free advertising DCR now gets. Take me as an example. I've now mentioned DCR 3-4 "places" today. Due to the dualminer..
edit: Has the suprnva dcr pool always had: Pool Workers: 1396 ?

I have a generic cgminer question. Is there any reason to stop and restart it every so often, or can it just continue to run indefinitely? I've been mining DCR for a while now and I tend to restart it when I see my hashrate drop for over a day or so, but the drop may just be due to luck. I'm just not sure if its good practice to restart it regularly.

I haven't been restarting for 2 weeks. I only restart if it has an error. There is no drop of hashpeed. It's constant even after 2 weeks.

No. It was 750 - 950 a week ago.

I think somewhere in the OP or somewhere else is states that DECRED is for Decentralized Credits. Not sure if you were looking for more detail than that.

Hey CfA, it's mostly a made-up (invented) word. It'll likely carry whichever meaning users assign to it (decentralised credits is one such descriptor).

The biggest mistake DECRED made was the high inflation. Everything else about it, made it a coin that was similar too but superior to BTC.
If this coin is worth more than $0.25 each in a years time that would be a huge achievement by the devs with these settings.
Decred team is fenomenal, dozen of people working for free. They deliver every day new stuff on code. Decred could reach 0.1 within 2 months for sure.
Lol. Decred has 180% inflation in the first year. Do you know what that means? To sustain even the $2.5 million valuation they have now, they need $12 500 in net new demand every single day, they barely do that in volume. Decred might get a pump after it's added to Poloniex but then it will become worthless for circa 2 years. It's not quite 2 months but you can see from the price action, DCR isn't being dumped but is constantly declining due to huge inflation despite decent volume and support. It's a great coin and a great team but apart from news sikes, example Poloniex, it will be constantly declining for the foreseeable future.
