The best way forward now is to dedicate most of your time in providing a patch for the available pools UNOMP or Node-Stratum since that will keep most people in for mining.

A pool will see many people joining since at the end of the day, they are certainly gonna go home being HODLed a bit regardless of their hash rates and that will be more satisfactory than nothing at all for several hours of mining.

I stand to be corrected though, whatever others think of the roadmap, I'll like to know and share my mind.

Hello,

A miner is already available with the wallet.
Start the wallet and click -> [ Mining ] from the menu bar, then on [ Solo Mining on ( 1GB required ) ]

If you want to check your hashrate, Click on [ Help ] -> [ Debug Window ] -> Click on [ open ] button below debug log file and check for these line in notepad of debug log.

I can't keep my laptop [i5 lenovo T410] running for 2 or 3 days
This is why getting a pool for HODlcoin is important.

Not all i5 processors are the same.. Some have AES instruction set and some don't (Google your CPU)...  If your using the drop down menu to start mining your using only 1gb of ram.. So that would be your true hashrate.. However if you have started the miner from the command line to mine with this -"minermemory=2" then you need to multiply your hash by 2..

There is no lighter wallet available?

This looks like a great project, but I don't want to take up 20 gigs for the core wallet...unless there's no alternative, guess I have to delete some...research projects....

haha im confused, had to re-read last 2 pages see if i missed something ;p
you made a mistake friend, the entire appdata/ folder is about 25mb (with blockchain so far)
and the client is about the same i believe
about 50mb total (so far)

hope this helps! Wink

I think the client still has the Bitcoin requirement there (20GB), but's yeah, nothing like that is required.

Thank you guys!  Now I can install and retweet Smiley

Is that the only way to get my hands on some HODL?

this mean i do only 8H/s?Huh

Yes, you probably don't have an AES-NI capable chip. Sad
