pretty simple really: hashrate alone isn't what determines the speed at which a pool will find blocks. Number of miners also plays a big factor in it.

looking at the number of workers on the 3 pools now,
suprnova: 1095
blockquarry: 635
maxminers: 50

and the reported pool hashrates:
suprnova: 338kh/s
blockquarry: 101kh/s
maxminers: 151kh/s

difference in hashrate between blockquarry and maxminers really isn't that large, but the difference in number of workers is. the larger offset in number of workers is more than likely attributing to the higher count of blocks solved.

Now, when maxminers DOES solve a block, each miner will end up getting a bigger piece of the pie (for that block) because it is distributed amongst fewer users, so take that into consideration too.

For 3 years of mining firstly hear about that

its basic probabilities. mining isn't done in a linear fashion so the more people mining a block together, the greater probability that they can overcome a difference in raw speed against another individual/group...like 10 people searching a haystack for a needle vs 100 people searching, even if each of the 100 people are slower at searching than the 10, as a collective they have a higher probability at finding the needle given the nearly infinite "starting points" of searching.

I am not a statistician but I have an opinion: luck. I agree with uowner, over time it's the hashrate
that will win.

The distribution of block time varies from 0 to infinity. Slow blocks can take mutiples of the average time
so a couple of very slow blocks would require a larger number of fast blocks to average out.

Let's look at an example of finding 2 blocks with a estimated TTF of 1 hour. The first blolck is found immediately
but the second takes 4 hours. That's an average of 2 hours/block even though the luck seems evenly distributed,
one very good, one very bad. It would take two more blocks found in zero time to match the average 1 hour TTF.

Sorry guys we had an error in our hashrate calculation, the hashrate was displayed about twice as much as normal which also resulted in wrong or false stats.

Big thanks to ocminer who helped us finding it, its now corrected and the pool is showing correct values at all places.

In regards to the 5%~ standard interest, is there a way to find how much has been earned from this from the wallet or blockchain?
Also, to confirm, after 30 days worth of blocks, you no longer earn interest and just need to send it via wallet to another address in your wallet?

You can find interest earned on each "unlocked" output you own in Coin Control.. Locked (deposits) show this in the deposit table already..

We are working on a better way to identify older then 30 days.. But for now you can just check the confirmation count in Coin Control.. Any output over 16,830 confirmations it's time to move it.. Simply send it back to yourself..

Is there a way to zoom out? Some charts (ie net hashrate, net diff) only cover a small
set of blocks. It would be nice to be able to see the big picture.

I also don't get the "hold shift to pan". I shift, click drag but nothing happens.

Probbaly missing some dependencies, did you install openssl? There may be others.
