The only thing i can think about mining with your HDD is that it would be very unhealthy for the drive, then people are going to say their hard drive failed.

Look at the screen shot you posted - does your wallet look the same? There's a big blue pledge button there.

If you're having trouble getting to the crowdfunding page - goto https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/atcrowdfunding.html

Then click active - it'll show the vbcs crowdfund - with a pledge button.

Actually it's not - on my miners the drives are active for about 30 seconds on average every 4 minutes. It's not a constant activity, just bursts each round. I've 30-40 drives mining, and the only ones I've had failures on are the ones I expected to - 2 * 3TB Seagates. Never buy those PoS drives ......

The only thing i can think about mining with your HDD is that it would be very unhealthy for the drive, then people are going to say their hard drive failed.

Actually, it is EXTREMELY easy on  your drives, not a single person in the over a year BURST has been around has mentioned anything near BURST being bad for their drives, and myself personally, every single one of the drives I mine with still works as if it were brand new.

If you think about it, you're only using the drive for a few seconds every 4 minutes or so, it's hardly as bad as actually using them for data, and it doesn't use them near to their potential or stress them out in the slightest.

If you do some mining for yourself, maybe you'll see what I mean Wink

Margin
http://forum.burstcoin.info:4567/topic/35/ann-margin/9

I have made a post with informations about changes to the asset and posted an update on the funds.
I'm very proud to say it has been a good month, the rates has been high and we have gotten a lot of funds early. You can buy margin at anytime, but buying at the last moment will reduce everyones payout (Not recommend) Wink.

TL:DR
Around 1 burst per asset will be payed as dividends.
No buy wall, but i will still buyback at 45 burst. Reason can be read on the forum.
Reserve might reduced. More information will be post in that case

Vector
http://forum.burstcoin.info:4567/topic/42/vector/2

TL:DR
Information about dividends.
I have a created a bounty, i will be paying for a script or another solution that automates Vector. Paying in Burst or Bitcoin.

After several Weeks Mining on Burst.Ninja with no problems Today my Miner has several times stopped working and I can't even get up the Web page. Is this just me or are others having problems? If so is there somewhere that tells me that there are problems as keeping changing to and from another Pool is a pain?

There was an issue with the pool displaying the web page, but it was still processing nonce submissions and paying out, so shouldn't have impacted your miner. The web page issue has been resolved and the pool is running normally.

OK thanks, however my miner was also getting a set of Red error messages, cannot remember what they were now. But no problems before & no problems on other Pools, and I have not changed anything. I will try and work out what the problem is.

Yes possibly, internet can be poor here, although every time I switched to another Pool everything was fine. I will switch back again and see if things have run ok overnight.

I was also getting some problems, but they are gone now. I checked http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/burst.ninja.html and it reported that it was down. When the pool got up again it was possible to see the amount of downtime. (No mined blocks) It was around 10-15 block in a row with no blocks mined by burst.ninja.

(I checked with burst.ninja:8125 and it was up. Don't know if it's off topic Smiley)

I'm having 50/50 super stable network, so it's not the problem in my case. (also isitdownrightnow.com reported that it was down.)

Thanks for the replies, am back over now and running fine. I was far from certain it was an Internet problem as other sites were accessible, but always possible here as we are 2 1/2 Miles from the exchange. Lost the website several times and also checked at one point and there was a great string of red error messages on the Miner. Trouble with Burst is that changing Pools is a slow process...

After several Weeks Mining on Burst.Ninja with no problems Today my Miner has several times stopped working and I can't even get up the Web page. Is this just me or are others having problems? If so is there somewhere that tells me that there are problems as keeping changing to and from another Pool is a pain?

Rich

There was an issue with the pool displaying the web page, but it was still processing nonce submissions and paying out, so shouldn't have impacted your miner. The web page issue has been resolved and the pool is running normally.

H.

OK thanks, however my miner was also getting a set of Red error messages, cannot remember what they were now. But no problems before & no problems on other Pools, and I have not changed anything. I will try and work out what the problem is.

Rich
I was also getting some problems, but they are gone now. I checked http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/burst.ninja.html and it reported that it was down. When the pool got up again it was possible to see the amount of downtime. (No mined blocks) It was around 10-15 block in a row with no blocks mined by burst.ninja.

(I checked with burst.ninja:8125 and it was up. Don't know if it's off topic Smiley)

Not having internet connectivity issues are you? I've not seen any issues on any of my miners today.

H.

Yes possibly, internet can be poor here, although every time I switched to another Pool everything was fine. I will switch back again and see if things have run ok overnight.

Rich
I'm having 50/50 super stable network, so it's not the problem in my case. (also isitdownrightnow.com reported that it was down.)

I restarted the pool after of learning of it having issues - it came immediately back up, around 12:30pm CST, and it wasn't showing any missing blocks - in fact BlackSaxo had just won a round with a 13 second deadline. What time did you see issues ?

H.

-[ANNOUNCEMENT]- ByteEnt Asset Announcement!

Hey everyone, figure it has been a little while since I've done a new update on the things I'm working on within ByteEnt scope, so thought it was about time to do so. Smiley

Having a bit of extra funding lying around, (well, not EXTRA just... a bit of funding. Haha...) I have decided to ...

-Add 5x2 TB drives to my mining power for the Asset Miner Smiley Yea, you're adding it up right, that means, 10TB more mining power will soon be plotted into the ByteEnt asset miner (named BURSTCITY1 in burst.ninja's pool statistics page...)

Yes, there is a reason I have decided to go with 2TB drives, and no it was not random. lol. The reason is, this will effectively fill up the empty spaces in the rackservers I  have at my home, which only currently support 2TB max. Not to mention I got an extremely good deal on them.

I will likely be adding more to the miner soon as well, and there may be a few new surprises ahead for ByteEnt too! So, don't all go running off to buy the asset right now or anything! Wink

Happy mining, and assetting (yea, it's a word, I promise...) BURST community!

Will be back to post a pic for some 'proof' here in a second. Gonna go take them. Thanks!

H.

I can't remember the exact time, but it is down as I'm writing now. http://imgur.com/rVnDepG
As i'm not writing from my main computer, I can only test this with a 1 GB plot. When connection to your pool i get this error.

Code:
2016-02-29 07:18:40.729  WARN 9613 --- [  networkPool-1] b.j.c.n.t.NetworkRequestMiningInfoTask   : Unable to get mining info from wallet: java.io.EOFException

Edit: It just went up again  Smiley, this time no hole in the "Recent Blocks"

I ran overnight, but again there was a page full of error messages.

SENDER: receiving confirmation failed: 10053

Can someone explain what this means?

Thanks

Rich
