That doesn't actually make any sense though.
I setup 50 delegates (on the botnet i controll so all vic machines that i don't pay nothing for), come to the forum with my 50 personalities and play nice. What ya gonna do about that ?

ROFLMAO!

Sorry, couldn't resist, as one who knows the story of UP I find it extremely hilarious!

Yesterday I witnessed a very nice exchange between Max from LISK and Bill from Bittrex.com. This certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but I feel as though its another fantastic step toward a successful launch if things work out as we hope and LISK gets added to Bittrex.

Very much looking forward to things to come from LISK. Keep it up guys.

My main problem is that most the BTC will be allocated towards big-fancy-lawyer and big-fancy-developer standards of living.  These guys probably burn 50k euro per year per person on their personal expenses.  They burnt through 750 BTC from crypti too fast, now they still have to pay their expenses, so they make up a new project and ask for more money.

Holy cow, Trader Joe.  They brought YOU into the Hidden Underground Lisk Command Bunker where you learned all these top-secret facts and plans, but they didn't invite ME !?!  Sheesh.

If we MUST indulge in fun, stupid gossip about a cryptocoin, let's talk about Ethereum and the mess they made of their ICO.   Those guys raised $18M and promptly lost $10M of it in Bitcoin price speculation / depreciation.  (Hint to Max - please don't let this happen to Lisk!)  After losing over half the funds they raised, the Ethereum Foundation only spent $4M of it in their first 14 months.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/2zoawi/ethereum_foundation_out_of_money_xpost_rbitcoin/cpkxg3y

They've undergone some major firings / reorganizations since then to get their dev effort running smoothly.  Even so, their own internal leaked memos say that a functional Ethereum system is still years away.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-launches-but-leaked-chat-says-project-needs-years-more

Vitalik himself acknowledged the Ethereum Foundation treasury at the start of 2016 has only $150,000 fiat, 640 BTC, and 2.5M ETH.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/3wmctp/i_read_that_it_has_been_published_how_much/cxxei81

At current prices, that's ONLY $150K  + $272K (from BTC) = $422,000 in liquid cash plus $15M OF THEIR OWN CURRENCY, WHICH MAY BE IN A BUBBLE THAT COULD POP.

And get this - Ethereum's initial burn rate ($4M in 14 months) was over $250K per month.  If they started 2016 with only $422K, ETHEREUM COULD POSSIBLY HAVE ZERO CASH ON HAND TODAY.

So let me get to my main point.

Ethereum is NOT a big bad invincible monster against whom Lisk does not stand a chance.

In many ways - lean organization, and existing code base, and technology concept, and maybe even cash-on-hand, to name just a few - Lisk has Ethereum beat hands down.

Right now the real LISK don't exist. You only have access to an account, which later on will be created. (To say it simple) The Lisk genesis block will be created end of March and will include all LISK which were purchased during the ICO.

Also the amount you receive at the end of the ICO ALWAYS equals exactly the same amount of money (in $) you have put into the ICO at the beginning.

I'm getting a bit fed up of this constantly repeated trope.

Of course your BTC share inside the ICO remains the same, because there is no opportunity to sell it. The number of coins you get for your BTC, however, will continue to fall as long as others join in the ICO.

As soon as the coin hits the exchanges, the number of coins that you own becomes crucial, so stop trying to imply that it has no relevance.

The first part is very clear to you and me. But not to the new members joining this thread. Therefore I always have to repeat some things. In the last days I told hundred of people the same thing over and over again. This is very normal. Regarding the part I underlined in the quote:

It can be that my thought is wrong here! But I see it as this:

The number of coins you hold is not crucial, it doesn't matter.

Let's make an example(!) comparison:

Case 1:
We collect 100 BTC in the ICO, that means our initial market cap is 100 BTC:

- User A who exchanged 1 BTC receives 1,000,000 coins.

Case 2:
We collect 1,000 BTC in the ICO, that means our initial market cap is 1,000 BTC.

- User A who exchanged 1 BTC receives 100,000 coins.

Now our market cap rises, let's say times 2. In both cases User A will have coins, which are worth 2 BTC. Exactly the same.

NOW! If you say that a coin with a small market cap can rise more and faster. Then this may be the case for a pump and dump within the first few weeks. But long term this is absolutely nonsense! Here all what matters are the management skils of the C-level executives.

Take a look at Nxt, which started with a small market cap. It's now bleeding out because there is no capital and no management. Take a look at Factom or Ethereum, which started with a big market cap. They are doing great!

And what if price goes up after launch on exchange? What will be more worth 100,000,000 or 100,000 coins?

What a bunch of non-sense. Ether Foundation now has over 10 million in funds, enough to easily blow past the PoS part of development. Please, let's stay grounded to reality. Ethereum is MILES ahead of this project right now, which is fine... but please, can we stop pretending that this thing is 10 minutes away from overtaking Ethereum. It looks awful for people interested in LISK.

Ethereum over spent, sure, but things are now looking way up with massive support from a gigantic community - I don't see why you want to keep pretending like LISK is right on ether's tail. Don't you think it's a disservice to try to sell that image? I'm taking LISK serious but I keep seeing almost PnD level rhetoric from key people - this worries me.

I'm not a key person in Lisk.  I have no official affiliation with Lisk, I am just a donor.  The advantage of this is I can say whatever I want.  And I try to quote links when I say something too outrageous.

For example, I said Ethereum is years away from fielding their system, and I quoted a link verifying that as a fact.  I never said Lisk is 10 minutes away from overtaking Ethereum.  We certainly have a lot of development work ahead to prove Lisk.

Say, where's a link verifying Ethereum now has 10M in funds?  I'd be interested in seeing that, particularly after I quoted what V himself said only two months ago.

EDIT: Oh, wait a sec.  I was wrong in my original post, now corrected.  2.5M ETH at the current $6 each is $15M equivalent, not $6M in the Ethereum Foundation treasury as I really stated.  That is probably what you are referring to as "$10M", but that is of their own currency.  Somehow, that's just not the same as cash in the bank....particularly with their market looking the way it has over the past few months.

They burnt through 750 BTC from crypti too fast, now they still have to pay their expenses, so they make up a new project and ask for more money.

They have stated they will have monthly financial reports of the funds allocation. If anything seems out of place, too high or too low the community can speak out. Transparency is one of the KEY attributes for Lisk and has been since the beginning of their campaign for the ICO.

Yesterday I witnessed a very nice exchange between Max from LISK and Bill from Bittrex.com. This certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but I feel as though its another fantastic step toward a successful launch if things work out as we hope and LISK gets added to Bittrex.

They have been selling privately all the way up from $2.50, they are easily funded for the next 4.5 years at current burn rate. They likely need 12-18 months for PoS. Anyway, I'm worried about the rhetoric related to LISK - even the shape shift issue looks bizarre and makes the team and MAX look disorganized or worse, manipulative. Add to this the way XCR was undercut and this entire thing makes me feel rather uneasy. Maybe if the entire team and supporters were humble about where they are and where they are going - but, this sort of OH MY GOD WE ARE ETHEREUM PLUS leaves me concerned.

I'm sure most won't agree, but, that is my 2 cents. I best step away. As a large holder of XCR and LISK I will simply watch the project from afar and then either leave the project and dump or support the project - dependent on how the launch and promises go.

MalReynolds, then don't say it twice mate.

I'm a supporter of the LISK project but have to agree with rtctcrypto, let's focus on LISK and stop the comparison with Ethereum all of the time (this would include paying for sponsored links on the Ethereums reddits - can we please stop that).

All the best other than this.
