So I'm not a developer. I think it is possible to experiment or work with the old code.
But the Lisk Devs means that a complete rewrite of the SDK code base is required.
And they can't give a guarantee that there is a full compatibility between the new and the old SDK.

Traveled the world. You would think a team of people could do "brainstorming" while they attended conferences and stayed in fancy hotels, and instead of just twidling their thumbs while waiting for the legal processes to be worked out for the foundation.

Do you know how long we have been waiting now? Are you aware of Crypti, the predecessor of Lisk where Max et al had their first ICO and where the basis of the Lisk code originates? Two ICOs and, what, two-/+ years and we are still just supposed to wait patiently. Meanwhile, other projects are eating up Lisk's potential market space by actually releasing developments and coming through on their promises in a timely fashion while the Lisk team plans to "brainstorm" for the next 2 months.

I only very recently became critical of the Lisk team and that's because I've been exposed to other teams and seen how unproductive this one has been in conparison. It doesn't add up.

It is marathon. You guys also notice this from community meeting?

- Lisk (Max): Our plan is to liquidate all the ICO Bitcoin until we reach 10,000 BTC, when having reached 10,000 we will put these funds into a multi-signature wallet to hold. Therefor, in the coming weeks we have planned to liquidate 2,000 BTC as we know this will be enough to fund Lisk for the next 1-2 Years.

Lisk can run more 1/2 year with 2000 BTC. And 10000 BTC still remaining. Who know this 10000 BTC will worth in the future? Lisk is not built to fail. Need to be patience.
