Important Update:

Coinbase informed us that they intend to freeze the Lisk ICO funds in their Vault, following some large investments that they traced back to known Bitcoin addresses used by known individuals that are on the U.S. Department of Commerce Denied Persons List:

http://www.bis.doc.gov/index.php/policy-guidance/lists-of-parties-of-concern/denied-persons-list

Our investigation findings have been shared with Coinbase and they will be released to the pubic on Monday 03/21/2016 by prominent tech news site.

Public Warning:

We've spent the past few days researching and investigating the two individuals and the Lawyer behind Lisk, with some colleagues in Germany and United Kingdom. We came across some shattering information that will be detrimental if not fatal to Lisk project.

We are forwarding all the findings to the police authorities in Germany and to the Interpol.

We advise everyone to request refunds for your investments in this IPO to avoid having funds frozen by Coinbase or by the authorities.

Lol, Newbie. Let's see the proof and actually see what actually happens. 99% sure this doesn't happen and you are just some random individual who wants to spread FUD among the community. What's the justification of this?  Cheesy

Can anyone help?  I'm trying to do a small ICO exchange sending XCR from Poloniex.  First I got an error saying the return address is invalid.  If I understand correctly, I must initialize the Poloniex address by sending it some XCR.  So I thought I would send some XCR to my empty Crypti wallet so I could send it back to myself at Poloniex.  But the Poloniex withdrawal has been saying PENDING for about an hour now.  I asked Poloniex if they were aware of a problem with XCR withdrawals and they said maybe there's a problem with the blockchain.  Can anyone offer some guidance?  Thanks in advance.

so is this coin at risk, that warning seems scary enough, again another way to scam or everything is fine, can the dev deliver more news about the matter?

As far as I know, the Lisk team have not receive any statement regarding a coinbase investigation on certain transactions.

In my opinion, this is all common fud to halt or slow down the ICO.

No, Coinbase sent a newbie named "KarmaFatale" to bring us this horrible news.
The scammers are stupid enough to use an old BTC address.

And the news will be revealed right after the ICO.

Seems legit, doesn't it?

Ok, I emailed Poloniex support and then magically my withdrawal went through.  Anyway, so now my Poloniex return address is valid for ICO exchange.  But now I have a new question.  The ICO instructions say I must enter my Crypti passphrase.  So I need to supply a Crypti passphrase even if I'm sending from Poloniex?  That doesn't sound right.  Any clarification would be appreciated.

Almost 8300 BTC raised. I suppose it's safe to assume that we'll be over 10K BTC by the end of the ICO.

Why don't you just send some Crypti to a crypti wallet which u control and then participate in the ICO from there lol

You can't use Poloniex address. Basically ICO site has a functionality of Lisk wallet. So what you actually do is access you wallet through ICO site and send coins from it to ICO address. Obviously you cannot use Poloniex address since you don't have a pass phrase to access it. What you need to do is withdraw your XCR to you own wallet and then enter the ICO.

Actually, Max has said a few times that you can use Poloniex to send (see below).  But I haven't seen him or anyone else mention what to do about the passphrase.

Was wondering the same thing, i'm guessing i need a designated XCR wallet due to the need of "return address"...
Is that correct?

Not necessarily. You can also generate a deposit address on Poloniex and use that. However this address needs to have a public key, and it only gets this by sending at least 1 small TX to it. If you PM me your address I can send you a small amount and initialise this account, once I find the time.

I can't deposit Crypti to ICO. "Return address is not a valid Crypti address".
I tried wallet address and my poloniex deposit address.

The account needs to have at least 1 incoming transaction. Write me the address via PM and I will do it once I have the time.

Don't use your Polo address, as it is not actually an address you posses and if the funds will actually return Polo wont link it with you and you'll have to contact them.

If you use your deposit address all is fine. This refund address is only for the case that ShapeShift isn't working. Not if you want a XCR refund later, there we will use the address you sent the XCR from.

Isn't it obvious 1/3? You got 1 out of 3 confirmations. You need 2 more.
