archcoin too, from 6k to 13k in a week then dumped, and pumped again 8 month later.

We don't know what will happen after lisk hit an exchange, someone will sell if pump someone will sell if dump. Someone will hold if pump, waiting a bigger pump, someone will buy lower and lower.

The smart way to play it is to sell a small portion of your coins if Lisk pumps 2-4x value (or higher). Then either rebuy if it goes cheaper, or just consider it as covering your initial investment.

If it dumps to or below ICO, just hold. You'll get into profit eventually. It's tempting to play the 'sell for a loss, but buy back at an even better rate' game, but that can quickly go horribly, horribly wrong.

Here you go. compare. First number is total during ICO, second number is current market cap in btc, and their % increase/decrease, 4th number is if you invested 1 btc and are still holding today how many btc you'd have:

Ripple: 72,289 BTC - 676,227 BTC Market Cap - 835% increase (8.25 btc)
Ethereum: 31,531 BTC - 2,462,284 BTC Market Cap - 7709% increase (77.09 btc)
Maidsafe: 12,200 BTC - 104,696 BTC Market Cap - 758% increase (7.58 btc)
Stellar: 7,228 BTC - 27,803 BTC Market Cap - 284% increase (2.84 btc)
Bitshares: 6829 BTC - 38,981 BTC Market Cap - 470% increase (4.7 btc)
Factom: 2287 BTC - 43,194 BTC Market Cap - 1788% increase (17.88 btc)

That's not a very useful comparison for an ICO speculator. Interesting number is how much you would have made in first month of trading. If it's not significant you're better off waiting for trading to start.

I call this bullshit as some of the coins were still mined therefore market cap increased over time

Who made the Logo? Remind me not to hire them!

But that aside,

"Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform"

So you have a fully working, decentralized blockchain, that has the platform to build sidechains?

If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly

is there a coin which rose in value just after ico?
in my memory the price always dropped first

Price always starts too high, light x5-10. Then come sellers that are fine with x2-x3 profits. But I don't remember price go lower than IPO price if tech behind coin is solid. Sometimes shit happens and people with soft balls sell low, but if there's nothing wrong with a coin network nobody sells with loss.

I think Lisk is too solid to go under ICO price Tongue

Cool would be if they would have prepared some  good announcements after ico, to show that there is real interest in LISK, outside of BTT. They need to create reason to buy in for people that didnt participate in ico. Also, if they have more good news, dont release them at once, create constant flow of news and updates, it is good to keep something for later.

Talking about the price after the ICO is not interesting at all, unless you got into Lisk for a quick buck.

Why?

To get Lisk on the road, the team needs a budget for developers, PR, closing deals, attend conferences.

We, the investors make that happen! When you buy Lisk, you buy a piece of the future, you make this possible!

The price after the ICO can go anywhere but doesn't affect the team that's working on Lisk anymore: they depend on what the ICO has yielded.

Up to now I think it's safe to say the ICO surpassed everyone's expectations! That's awesome!

Now: let's focus on development, not on price after an ICO that will be based on FUD, whales, hypes and what's more to come. When the team shows results, price will settle.

When you step into an ICO, it's a long term investment... Only weak hands get out early...

You did not loose any lisk, in fact it will get less! With every investment the amount of lisk you receive will go lower.

The speculation was interesting, but you're right.

Another point to discuss: I don't like things done hurriedly, but the devs must consider that must bring very good results long before the Bitcoin's halving event, cause we'll see a lot of cashouts and a lot of altcoins dying.

seems like people are investing blindfolded, without knowing the basic rules of the ico.
I don't know if it's good or not, but these people look to me that they're buying because of the btc rose until now, and not because they know what's lisk.

I know why your pray will never be answered!
