Freedom of choice. Community loves pools and they will vote for them.
Hey, I'm all for it. As I said it before, if you can make 101 mostly pools I'd get more payout from them than I forge right now with a delegate, and all that without the tons of work it takes. I genuinely rooting for you here. I have one question for you: Where you take this coins? I mean LISK tokens forged by you. You selling them or what? Or maybe you spend them for PR campaign? It's very important question, community want to know You do understand that Lisk is run on a blockchain, right? It would take 2 minutes for anyone competent to see that I haven't sold a single forged lisk. As a matter of fact I'm a strong advocate for keeping most forged lisk from going to the exchanges, and don't have plans to sell any for a very long while. One thing is to check using LISK blockchain and another - to ask you. Second helps to understand fair you or not Ok, but i didn't understand what you want to do with forged LISK. Sell for yourself or spend in another way (PR campaign, financing of js developers or other). P.S: thank you for your care guys. But i know how to use blockchain and check someone

Sell for yourself or spend in another way (PR campaign, financing of js developers or other). Well, I have no intention of using it for PR, that's for sure. I do plan to fund projects with it, yes. I have funded other crypto releated projects before, and I'll do so again, including lisk projects. But projects that make sense, projects that are viable. However I think we are still pretty far away from that being possible in Lisk, so I have time to sit on my forged lisk.

Notice to the Lisk Community This post is about concerns with GDT (Global Delegate Team), the group of mutual voters that has 80+ members and accounts to a very significant percentage of forging delegates. GDT is in existence since the early testnet for Lisk. Its core comprises participants from the testnet as well as from the former Crypti community. It was always said or widely perceived that GDT is good for Lisk since it were supposed to invest forging rewards into the Lisk ecosystem. Within the concept for Lisk it is envisaged to fund various projects for Lisk by way of forging rewards, and it was expected that the benefit exceeds the inflation that comes with the comparably high figure for block rewards that characterizes Lisk. It is assumed by many that GDT would provide for an organizational structure that is beneficial for Lisk, for all of its community and the investors. Recent developments however indicate that GDT is in a process of monopolizing forging rewards primarily for its own benefit and with a view to achieving insuperable voting power through accumulating most of the newly issued LSK. GDT has no statute for its governance. Basically there is a single individual who creates a list of its members. Part of the conduct of GDT is maintaining a rather high number of 80+ members that keeps it ahead of any other potential competing group. In recent weeks the style of governance had changed in that members were pressed to vote each other (while before basically everybody had to go for his own votes), and in that GDT implemented a vote tracking database and regime of questionable practices in regard to improve its ranking and having a tight grip on its members. More details on this are to follow... This is not to say that all or the vast majority of its members are bad or untrustworthy delegates. For most there is no other choice than being part of GDT. This post is done with the intend to break up GDT and prevent it from finalizing its grip on forging rewards. It can become very important that the Lisk community and all outside voters use their voting weight against GDT and its established leadership. In this context there is also a warning on pools that promote certain delegates without saying why it is good to vote them or what their alliances are. Lisk has a great potential. It is important that the Lisk community makes use of its voting power and actively supports trustworthy candidates. Many delegates who are in GDT absolutely deserve votes from the community, as for instance they provide necessary technical support in order that the Lisk blockchain works. There are also many other important tasks done by several active delegates in promoting Lisk etc. A good indication for outstanding delegates is when they have the votes from both Max and Oliver. The more votes they get, the less dependent they are on GDT. Attached to this post are the logs from the relevant Slack channels of GDT for the last few weeks. It is seen as fair giving every Lisker access to information that has importance with the affairs of Lisk. With fairness seen as paramount, it should be attempted to break up mutual voting groups when they act as cartel and deliberately don’t let space to other groups or individual delegates. Acting for competitiveness can have a beneficial effect for the Lisk ecosystem and requires support from the community. https://yadi.sk/d/7L3krpjz3AWJYBhttp://carolinaliskdelegate.wordpress.comInteresting and thoughtful. Thank you for publishing.

This is so simple.... Pools are like leeches, bleeding dry the forging rewards, going 90% straight into the hands of non-vested users that will surely "dump" for the "Free money", because the have no stake in keeping their position. DPoS means you must have weight for your vote to count, so if you're thinking you can take your 5 lisk account, and vote in all the pools, you are mistaken. You will need a large stake. The only reason any pools are in the 101, is because large stakeholders voted them there. Pools give away most of their coin, which leaves them with no stake, and we also have no way to contact pool owners for version deployment, or hotfixes. Can you imagine WTF would have happened during the tx attack weeks ago if only pools were in the 101? The users in here thinking that "pools are the way to go", are simply unaware of the consequences of such an action... or even how DPoS really works. It's ludachrist to think pools should dominate the chain... I could list a shitload of reasons why that's a bad idea. Stability of the network being paramount.
I can see the greed is dominating this conversation in a big way... Pool advocates simply want free lisk to dump, and don't give a rat's ass about the stability of the network.

Any amount staying off the exchanges are good for Lisk. -tb-

Hi,
Lisk needs active, skilled delegates to keep the chain running. Check all the tools , monitors, scripts which are made by delegates.
Not long ago the chain stuck at one point - the delegates helped HQ to locate the problem and get the chain running again.

Otherwise you would see that it contains very good points for and against pools. I read about the thousands of dollars that delegates spent for servers, that's enough... let's see, I've been supporting the network with a dozen servers and only 1 delegate for nearly a year now.... a decent dedicated server costs about 60 dollars a month, plus setup fees, and vpn's for backup, and same on testnet... my monthly costs are well over 100 dollars a month... times eleven months..... ? hmm, $1100 minimum just in server expenses.... now add domains, ssl, and countless nights up till 3am? Renewing certificates every 90 days too.... wtf 32 releases since testnet inception, and updating a dozen servers complete with SSL and double failovers is no fucking cakewalk. Now what you gonna say? Leave it to the pools? You are clueless.

You do realize that if there were 101 pools, the lisk whales would earn x5-10x more lisk putting their weight into all 101 pools than if they were forging one node themselves right? makes me wonder how you guys survived so long without math.

Seems logical, and ANYONE can be a delegate. We need more dedicated individuals, so if anyone is interested, you should consider staking lisk, and helping us secure the network.
