Since that bitcoin is very open to any individuals, which means it can be use for legal and illegal activities any transaction whether good or bad. It will be depend on how the individuals where they going to use their bitcoins.

Usually bitcoin's purpose is good, but there are bastards who are using it selfishly on their things which sometimes are illegal and leaving everyone the same stain and making normal people who are not using bitcoin that bad impression about it...  Smiley

The above quote is the real fact about bitcoin usage, but now scenario have changed a lot. During the past days users thought it to be the currency which is just for illegal needs. Now most has started using it as a investment than using for illegal needs.
There has definitely been more diversity when it comes down to who uses Bitcoin for what, but it is indisputable that more people invest in Bitcoin than those using it for illicit and illegal means. Plus there was that article of the darknet saying that they want to switch to Monero, so that was a big thing that changed the demographics of Bitcoin as well.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Yes it is.  Those people were the one who really want the "make rich fast" thing.  And would do anything to become rich and of course using bitcoin or any other digital currency.  We know that bitcoin is really a good way to use for online transactions thus it is no wonder that people are using it on black market.  People are naturally selfish and greedy but those people who uses bitcoins on wrong things were evil.

As said before, bitcoin is money, in whatever purpose you use your money, same as bitcoin, you can do it too... So either illegal or legal, it can be done with bitcoin. But generally, bitcoin is not used on those illegal things or activities, only few if there...

Bitcoin surely is being used for illegal activities just like any other good thing in this world. I was introducing Bitcoin to one of my money making colleagues, and then he was like "Bitcoin? That's being used in the darkNet, right?" Plenty of facebook pages has been talking about the deep web to attract more audience, and people who read about it thinks they are somewhat a kind of a bad-ass Internet user. My point is that facebook pages with the sole purpose of wanting to get their post a lot of shares, they post bad things about Bitcoin and connect it to the darkNet.

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering

I have heard that bitcoin is used by criminal in dark net and also in normal net to do anonymous payment because bitcoin don't ask for personal info to create account so there is illegal use of bitcoin and generally we can't imagine what human could do with a useful source.

It is already written in bitcoin history that Bitcoin is used in illegal activities, actually it is where it was used first.  Until some of those illegal activities were quellled by Authorities.  Now legal merchant are adopting bitcoin.
Bitcoin was highly used in the deep web before it surfaced. It was a good currency there for services and products that you can afford if you have bitcoins. I used to check on the deep web often way back in 2010-2013 and never really cared about what bitcoin was.

Now the way the OP worded the title makes for a pretty silly question, lol. I understand where it is going, but the actual question as worded gets an easy yes.  Of course Bitcoin is used for illegal activities, like any other currency.  The openness of the question makes that true for just about anything, even chewing gum is used for illegal activities, at least once since it was introduced.

Everythin is used for q criminal activity, i eon't believe that that fact could hurt bitcoin thqt much on the long run. Thqt fact could slow down btcs progress at the beginning but i believe it wont have any impact later on.

Yes, just because bitcoins are used for criminal activities should not be an argument against bitcoins. Any fiat currency is used for illegal activities and people still don't want to get rid of them.
All form of currency is having a change for using that in the illegal activities, and it's very hypocrite person, for people is just seeing from a once way about this, like the media just seeing if bitcoin is linked in the criminalism.
Yeah and personally I think apart from users gambling with bitcoins while gambling is illegal in their country there is nothing significant I can think of  for which bitcoins are being used in an illegal activity. And hey come on we cannot blame users for gambling, let them have fun Smiley

Bitcoin being illegal or legal is depend on the person, who use it? anyone can use bitcoin in illegal transaction or legal transaction.
which is still an issue, not all countries recognize bitcoin, bitcoin is also considered bad because the value of currencies based on market demand and has a high degree of fluctuation, not all states prohibit all financial institutions accept transactions using bitcoin, virtual currency as legal tender.

Well you are right with it, there are some countries that are not allowing their people to use bitcoin with this kind of thinking.

Because when a person uses bitcoin they are thinking already that it is being use for illegal activities, but not all of time bitcoin was being use as that.

But there is a free will to the user on how they are going to use their own bitcoin, it's either for illegal or legal things.

I think what the OP is trying to ask is whether it is used primarily for that purpose and that would be a no.  Most people that have touched Bitcoin never did anything with it past the initial interest.

No, because people still use the tradition fiat currency for illegal activities even before Bitcoin. Bitcoin is changing the remittance market and if it can get 20% of this market it is good for me

I agree with you, actually when the bitcoin was introduced it was mainly used by the silk route traders for their illegal activity but as soon as the silk route got cleared and bitcoin got famous in the public and the real technology users started to use it for legal activity, but as it was first introduced with the illegal activity so it got a bad name in the first impression, and that impression has got in every ones mind.

but today's scenario is totally different it is used with high technology and for good purpose and in the lower end country the online bitcoin earning is a boon to earn money through bitcoin and living their life very good.

Yes I agree with you those evil people will do anything for money without considering other people.  They would even sell their souls to devil just to be rich.  It become easy for these people to transact when bitcoin arrives.  They can do their evil transactions more easy, fast, and accurately.  Without any risk of exposing their through identities.

Every valuta in this world is probably being used for illegal activities so I don't see why bitcoin would be an exception especially cause bitcoins are anonymous.
Dark marketplaces are selling drugs guns hitman every other sick stuff and there's even undercovers on those markets so yes its being used for illegal stuff.
