I don't think I'll sell any more under 5k satoshis. Fully expect it to go to 10k+ when it hits an exchange. This is revolutionary tech, people.

Yep, I'm not touching the remainder of mine under 50k

50k would equal a 200mio marketcap, not impossible, but to achieve that everything has to work as planned without any technical issues.

I definitely don't expect $200 million day-1, but down the road. Absolutely.

15 - 20 Million is where we are now.

With the risk of receiving your Iota gone, and a guarantee of getting your Iota realized, we will see a substantial increase from where we are now.

Think about it. Most of those that wanted to sell have done so. The "demand" of the supply and demand equation will be great. We are talking about the first platform without a blockchain. No fees!! Scaleable!!

It will easily reach 100 million in no time. Easily five times from where it is now.

There will be a buying frenzy. Forbes, Microsoft, etc have already taken notice! Pre-launch!

Too optimistic. It looks like there will be dumping frenzy. Those who already sold tokens in OTC, wish to buy back for possible low price. They are smart whales.

Your logic completely defies your statement.

If whales have sold OTC the new holders will want to hold to get profit not dump. What's the point in dumping into a loss?

Likewise if whales are buying more price will go up.

Besides as I've said if people are clearly displaying the urge to buy IOTA now without the guarantees they will get the IOTA that certainly accounts for a massive increase when it gets released on exchanges (evidenced by the fact that you can see more trusted members are able to get more BTC for their IOTA atm e.g. the NXT AE's). Not to mention being able to buy 24/7 and not have wait for a seller (also evidenced in my last example using the AE). Finally on top of that you've got the fact that all this talk about the network not functioning will be rendered partially mute with a successful exchange listing in which everyday gone by will be a testament to the networks strength.

I expect some panic. There would be negative information about Iota driven by whales.

You said it yourself "the coin might have a market cap of billions".

That is still a long way off.

Even as we speak what is referred to on /r/Bitcoin as The Other Coin is valued at under a billion.

Opening at $10-$20million market cap can be justified and a possible spike to $100M is imaginable, but IOTA still has a lot to prove (technology-wise) for higher valuations to be speculated on.

The main thing for now is that David said that THIS WEEK we will get GUI  Smiley

Speculation wise I think we will open at $50 million, and float around for a while between $30-$60 before the first real implementations hit, and we go vertical like ETH to $250 million+

My speculation is that it will go like Ethereum but halve in size, we have less resources like they did.

This reminded me https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4cg8lv/sharding_dont_like/d1i2gv2:
Quote
CASPER now operates on a Directed Acyclic Graph

Does anyone know if it's a part of the original design or it was added after the publication of Iota whitepaper?

PS: There are always few speculators who understand nuances of a tech they invested into, we need your answer now.

Ethereum has used DAGs in the mining algo (Dagger) fron day one. Dunno if relevant:

Quote
Before you can find any blocks, however, your computer needs to go through a process called “building a DAG”. This DAG (short for “Directed Acyclic Graph”) is a large data structure (~1GB) required for mining, intended to prevent ASIC machines (“Application Specific Integrated Circuits”) from being mass manufactured for mining ether.

Also: https://media.readthedocs.org/pdf/ethereum-homestead/latest/ethereum-homestead.pdf

Quote
Ethash uses a DAG (directed acyclic graph) for the proof of work algorithm, this is generated for each epoch, i.e., every 30000 blocks (125 hours, ca.  5.2 days).

Quote
DAG
DAG stands for Directed Acyclic Graph. It is a graph, a set of nodes and links between nodes,
that has very special properties.  Ethereum uses a DAG in Ethash, the Ethereum Proof of Work
(POW) algorithm. The Ethash DAG takes a long time to be generated, which is done by a Miner
node into a cache file for each Epoch. The file data is then used when a value from this graph is
required by the algorithm.

Casper is Eth's PoS system, right? So logically (correct me if wrong) if Ethereum uses DAGs in its PoW phase why should it not have always intended to do so in its PoS phase?

EDIT: actually that might be crap logic by me since the applicatio of the DAG in PoW seems different from the way a DAG might be used in a Casper "shard" PoS (but really i have no idea).

The phrasing on the reddit post suggests it may be a newer idea:

Quote
Instead of operating one a simple singly linked chain of blocks, CASPER now operates on a Directed Acyclic Graph of blocks, the same rules of CASPER should apply

Even if they did lift the idea, however, it is quite possible they did so from Sergio's research and not IOTA's

I spoke with both Vitalik and Vlad (in charge of Casper development) about IOTA since day 1, so if it's inspired, it's definitely from IOTA. I have asked Vlad about it, awaiting reply. Doesn't matter though both Vitalik and Vlad are positive about IOTA and want to find overlap to Ethereum

It's not about who took whose idea. It's about popularity of DAG which is an extra proof of its superiority.

Selling my address in the genesis: HYTUQVLBXNOFWXOKXBYIFB9REJDVXOOKJDWOJZCPCOSZGUQOGRIRBJAFJLBXCKNKDLTGFKEHHHDPFW9 MU

Total: 98,863 IOTA for 3.8 BTC

After BTC is sent I can provide you with the private key to the address which means you don't have to trust me as much.

Similarly I will accept escrow for 4.4 BTC (as it is an inconvenience and would rather have the BTC now).

See my LBC profile for trust: https://localbitcoins.com/p/Benzedi/

Thanks!

Can you remove my sell order please? Smiley

Not going to sell for so cheap  Wink

@yassin54, good morning,

I would also like to modify my sell offer, please.

Now I am offering a lot of 230,000 IOTA for the total of 21 BTC (Please, consider my former offer expired. So I request that you, please, replace my old offer in the OP, thank you).

I am not a big IOTA holder, But I pledge that, if this sale is successful, I will donate 10,000 IOTA to the foundation, and pay 2,300 IOTA as a small token of remuneration to the person in charge of this escrow, if successful.

Finally, I would also like to pledge 100,000 IOTA for the "Big Deal" sale.

Thank you, again, my friend. Please, keep up the good work!

If you are interested in this deal, I request that you please send me your proposal by a reply in this thread (no PM, please, as I don't log in here often) or directly by e-mail to cryptoBanqueiro(at)hotmail.com (preferably both).

The deadline to my offer is iota being traded on exchanges, or whenever I decide so.
