So, if we would compare it to more western exchanges, what would it compare to? Like yobit (without the scam part, that is)?

Btw, blockexperts shows 5 hours between block 248440 and 248441. Still under attack?

What is everyone's problem with Yobit exactly? Is it just that they seem to be willing to add any coin whatsoever without any consideration?

I've only got about 6 Million Verge on there but so I'm not too worried, butI keep seeing that site referred to very negatively. I'm literally there for no reason other than VERGE

Random thought of the day....

Maybe Poloniex does not want to disrupt base market XMR by listing Verge?

Oh, I don't have a problem with yobit. It's just that it is an exchange with relatively low volume which adds a lot of coins, whether people are actually trading them or not, so I mentioned them for comparative reasons.

Low volume exchanges are fun because for some reason other people make really bad trades on them. Easy to scoop up lots of coins.

On the other hand, you don't make much because the volume is low so it's really just for fun and not really that profitable.

When VERGE shot up, it got pretty high on yobit and I was able to flip a few million into a few million more. Smiley Thing is with VERGE, I don't want to do anything to spook the market so I mostly hold back and just dabble on the flipping to keep myself entertained.

I'm trying to run Verge wallet on Elementary OS via terminal (Ubuntu based) but I have the next error

Code:
./verge-qt: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./verge-qt)

How I can fix this?

We need visual comparison between the "so called" leaders of anonymity. Like an infographic or something.

Let's spell it out - obviously it needs to be done those who do not understand know no better. Lets educate the wider Crypto Community.

I agree with this. Even though DEV and some others who are active here understand what i2p is, most people don't. People hear i2p tossed around and they don't truly understand why or how it could possibly be more anonymous than TOR. Furthermore, when people hear that Anoncoin is on the i2p network they don't understand how Verge could possibly be more anonymous.  I don't think people want to accept at face value that Verge is truly anonymous; they want to understand WHY it is a truly anonymous coin. This is something that could be illustrated in some kind of diagram or chart.
I also agree. maybe we need to explain to people why their anonymous coin is actually not anonymous. Cool and they have been sold a lie.

FWIW: Monero is working on I2P integration on the protocol level too:

https://github.com/monero-project/kovri

http://podbay.fm/show/1032156854/e/1451151298?autostart=1

https://getmonero.org/design-goals/

They are working on it. But have a look at XMR price, is that justified, when Verge already is anonymous.

Verge has been in the defensive way too long. Swallowing quietly that coins like Dash and Monero are private/anonymous whatever they mean by that. I think it's time to start calling a spade spade. Monero is not private if they mean untraceable Dash is not private if it means untraceable they as someone mentioned took way too much money from "investors" (Dash instamined 1/3 of all coins that will ever hit the market) and are literally running scams and I mean privacy scams because they promise they are something they completely are NOT. VERGE puts Dash and Monero to shame exposing how a big lie those two are when they carefully use the word 'private' so if 'private' means untraceable they are with their pants down. No more taking BS from them or any other fake privacy centric coin out there. Better just say yes we are not private but we want you to use our coin. Verge is private I.e. untraceable Dash and Monero are not the later btw without Poloniex are nobodies.

I don't get this either, I started an account with Yobit and the more highly regarded C-Cex the same day, and well we all know how that turned out. Waiting 4 days for my 2.1 million XVG from C-Cex and had my 4 million XVG from Yobit within hours. So my PERSONAL experience is favorable for Yobit. But as we all know, with ANY exchange you're taking a risk putting your coins there, but from my own personal experience? Yobit was easy to use and my coins were delivered without delay. Now will that continue? We shall see!

There's no guarantee in the crypto currency exchange world!
