God bless

Sticky this.

+1

BTW, I just think Mr. Lazlo just opened another account at BT just in order to not be bothered about the MegaPizza incident.

That guy really need to be mentioned on Guinness World Records (does it exist yet?).

Does anyone want some pizzas like that?

By 10k BTC I can also send you some strippers and champagne?

Litecoin also accepted! LOL  Grin

I'm glad to post here, epic thread anyway!

Cheers!

Sure.

I just hope he didn't spend everything, and was wise enough to keep some until the value grew.
(I've read this thread but IIRC it wasn't clear if he did)

See this for a discussion of what happened to the bitcoins from the pizza:

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/450/is-there-any-way-to-track-an-individual-bitcoin-or-satoshi

thanks for the article link, i will read it.

Laszlo states in this thread that he can't mine thousands of bitcoins a day any more. As I understand it, he was only able to mine hundreds of them at that time... :-)
So I'm really not afraid he had spent everything.

A lot of pizza places have online ordering, my wife and I use that sometimes with Papa John's.  Almost all of them will accept credit cards by phone as well Smiley

If only his wife knew what that guy did, spending 2M USD worth of XBT... Mr. laszlo would be in serious trouble....LOL

I just want to report that I successfully traded 10,000 bitcoins for pizza.

Pictures: http://heliacal.net/~solar/bitcoin/pizza/

Thanks jercos!

BTW, does anyone here know that guy he called "jercos"? Is he still an active member of this forum?

Jr.Member --> Member --> Full Member --> Sr.Member --> Hero Member --> laszlo (aka Epic Member)

I'd suggest that forum's admn should change his status to "LEGENDARY MEMBER".

That guy is a part of the recent Bitcoin history and tale! That's it!

At least the 2 pizzas seemed delicious at that time in these pictures: http://www.heliacal.net/~solar/bitcoin/pizza/

Cheers for all!

Will this eventually become the world's first million-dollar pizza?

$2 million dollar pizza

3 years later

Boggles the mind.

Will this eventually become the world's first million-dollar pizza?

$2 million dollar pizza

3 years later

Boggles the mind.

As of this exact moment, (5pm Eastern Standard Time, Oct 23rd 2013) the value of a single bitcoin is $222.74.  Making those 10K bitcoins worth $2,227,400.  Since that order was two pizzas, each one is is now a $1,137,000 pizza.

Largest year over year asset value increase rate in the history of mankind.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

Maybe every Lazlo Pizza day we should celebrate by tipping Lazlo the current equivalent of that original value in BTC? That seems like a great way to say thanks for having the guts to kick-off a whole economy. I'll start by tipping for last month.

Sent 0.41 BTC(a little extra but the number was too cool to pass up)

If you can't afford the full amount make it 0.041  or even 0.0041 or whatever the equivalent is each year.

Maybe someday someone can laugh at me for tipping Lazlo an outrageous amount. Smiley
So uhm why, exactly?  He's probably got more BTC than everyone else posting in this thread combined!

You had to pay for your pizza, I didn't have to pay for mine!

When someone got our address after putting up a GB, and then sent a pizza and didn't pay, I found it an invasion of privacy, but reminded me of this story about the 10,000 btc pizza so in an odd way im glad that we both have a tale to say in this case. In your case that you gave away a fortune and in my case, I didn't eat the pizza and sent it back!

Good kudos as I think this story is one that many people who find out about bitcoins will remember. I think you made history!

the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
