Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.

I disagree it is not a sickness it is just someone being a risk taker with the believe that the higher the higher the returns. They also believe in chance that its the sole determinant of whether they will lose or win as this cannot be said of sickness. So its not sickness rather its a daring... My 2cents...

It is just a game of guess, you have to be lucky in order to win. There is really no method to win when the odds are against us, we just have to accept it and play gambling for fun. That is true that the risk is high and same with the reward so if you don't want to take risk don't do gambling.

How can you say it is proven that anyone can be rich with sports gambling games ?
If you are able to provide proof then i might believe you.
But i doubt that you can proof it as in gambling there always is House which prevents you from winning always !

for me no, it's not a sickness. being addicted to gambling though would be close but being addicted to pretty much anything is the same. gambling is fun, it's exciting and if you're lucky, can get you a lot of money. there's nothing wrong with that. the problem though, as with anything, is when you get too much of something. being addicted to gamblisg affects not just you but people around you as well.there are a lot of people i know that borrow money or even sell properties just to support their gamblisg addiction.

yeah and I trust sports betting the most and enjoy to it too but i don't call it as a sickness but only as a entertainment as i am not that addictive to it and i can have control over myself while doing bets !

Good for us who has control over gambling because we will never call gambling as a sickness. Honestly, I just lose my bets yesterday in sports betting of basketball and I have prove that I can easily move on since the amount that I put is the amount intended for gambling.

That's right, gambling is a bit similar to diet and anything that we abuse in real life...gambling is a bit tempting, but it is us that never control our urge to gamble that sometimes don't end up so well.. Gambling itself is actually not a bad thing. It is just another form of entertainment. However, people tends to abuse it and went over their own limits. That is why they give gambling a bad name. Dont play for profit and just play for fun, gambling would be much more relax and stress-free.

There are some genetic test you can do to see if you have big chances o becoming a gambling addict. We have technology now to look up for genetic traits that will tell you if you can or not gamble in a reasonable way and everyone should be taking those tests before risking it with gambling.

I don't think the palying for fun or for profit with gambling game is a sickness.   This is normal I think but something extreme isnt normal and is bad for everyone around it.  So I can say that there should be qualification where you can consider gambling as sickness but still the term sickness isnt right for it.  Disease should be the right term.

You can correlate a drug addict to a gambling addict because both of these habits are developed (or honed, whichever makes more sense) due to the release of neurotransmitters in the brain called dopamine whenever one feels pleasure or feels like he's rewarded. But generally speaking, a typical gambler shouldn't be called out as an 'addict' if he only plays casually, whereas if a person thinks of gambling most of the time and has sold something important just to have the money to stake, that's an addict. In my opinion, it is wrong to call all gamblers as addicts.

In short, we can conclude the byproducts of gambling like greediness and addictions must be considered as sickness which was we are getting from gambling. Because both greedy and addictions will not let you to control your gambling on your way of preference. But, definitely will end up you in losses. So, considering them as weakness/sickness at least would spread some awareness to avoid them.
