Fun fact about Waves where Sasha mentioning he choose Waves because he wanted it to be space themed cus also as a physicist he studied general relativity and it was a very big thing for him when recently gravitional waves were discovered so he wanted to connect that to the project.

I don't think you understand, the more funding they have the more value they can produce. Thus the price will increase due to more funding, since they can spend more money on marketing/development.

Actually, the big money drainer will likely be compliance costs for AML/KYC. Getting licenced as a money transmitter in the States mean applying to the govs of all fifty states & shelling out millions of bucks.

Just don't think you could aplly exactly same criteria to the crypto ICOs.Venture capital by it's structure quite often  is centralised and in general  is being used by companies what already put their foot in a market.
Contrary to block chain ICOs. Even more so-The DAO of Slock.it would  be at the greatest risk following a such template-the time will show...
As far as I can see the crypto game is different and it maybe because it's still in a " Hardcore elite cind of Underground Internet shit" stage.Imagine selling it to the general public who still has no clue what you are talking about.
They are private block chains being created though and they have their own partitipation rules what not just very distant from decentralised,open to everyone crypto's ICOs-they are different by their nature itself-private,controlled and open only to selected-if you are  not in their club-you are out.

Yes, this is a very important consideration almost unique to this project. It has changed my perspective on the desirability of a higher target for money raised during the ICO.

First of all this would generate a lot of interest and second a lot of people would like to jump on the train. This worked for Lisk.
What is the idea behind releasing the coin right after the ICO?

Yeah those lisk iou's generated 142 btc on yobit today. That's like more volume than that exchange had all of last year. Not a bad idea.

Release right after ICO:
People who want to invest, either invested the day before in the ICO or they are simply investing at the exchange the day after.
There is no accumulation of "will" to buy the coin without being able to do so. That means the amount of buyers is constantly "low" keeping the price low -> attracting less investors -> keeping the price low...

Release with a gap between ICO and trade:
People who invested in the coin are waiting. The PR machine is working, more and more people are interested in the coin. But the coin can't be bought. So there is a accumulation of "will" to buy the coin and the more time pass the more PR it gets the higher the amount of people interested in investing. Resulting in a huge rise of the price on the release day -> attracting investors -> price goes up.


The release (trading) should be postponed! In our all interest!

Yes, this is a very important consideration almost unique to this project. It has changed my perspective on the desirability of a higher target for money raised during the ICO.

I'd keep states liscense to a bare min. Tbh only the heavy crypto states otherwise waste of money. There's plenty of people outside the states without their ridiculous imposing laws to make waves great. Most money in crypto comes from China and Russia anyway.

Well, no. I watched the AMA with Sasha, and he said these AML/KYC licences will be provided by the payment processor Waves will partner in the future which will back the tokens in FIAT, USD Tokens, Euro Tokens and so on. So these partners will likely to already have these lincens, so there is no need to adquire them.

Delay the trading and tease the investor (by releasing articles and update)  who miss the ICO. Then I believe wave will go up

Not quite actually. I was hoping to see them assures that even a Pentium 4 computer with just about 1gb of RAM is enough.
I was asking because i don't have a high end computer and may not ever try to buy a newer one later. if the platform can function well on a low end computers then i won't need to buy new desktop in trading using waves.

Lite client with all main features without the need of blockchain download will be running through browser so will work mostly on any device. Well, no. I watched the AMA with Sasha, and he said these AML/KYC licences will be provided by the payment processor Waves will partner in the future which will back the tokens in FIAT, USD Tokens, Euro Tokens and so on. So these partners will likely to already have these lincens, so there is no need to adquire them.

Above it there will be two companies, foundation and another one with financial license approach, but as for the payment providers integrated with platform that`s correct.
