The translation, who needs a new translated page in some artificial languages 1 day before the ICO ends?? Seems like someone wants to make some money.

I can only agree here. I don't think the WAVES creators accept bad translations anyway but if the helpers wanna work on local threads to actually support UKRAINIANS then it's a good thing. I think they want the latter so all is well.

tokens reserved for translations and maintaining national WAVES threads.

Do you know how much a translator ask? The rewards in WAVES is like nothing. I've asked for a translation one day $250 for half page... so if they want professional translations of OPs then it will be close to $1000 that they have to pay..

They ask for help and give a reward. Anyone could decide to join in or not. I don't think the reward means 'submit a bad translation and get a lot of rewards'.
The reward is given for a proper translation and maintaining the national threads over time?!?

Yes and no... this is not a shitcoin ... meaning it is not just one line that you have to translated and that is it. This is something better, at least, i believe it is something better... when you receive $8M in ICO plus extra free coins then i would expect that they also pay the translations in a good way. What they in fact do... so no complains here and in fact they should make sure that the translations are being up to date by rewarding the translator small fees when there are updates

Well yes they are linguistically different languages but every slovak understands czech and vice versa (and not partly but to full extend).
