I'm an investor in this and although I can kinda understand the concept, I don't really understand the project fully (beyond the broad explanation of the project). It's difficult to get invested in this idea personally (i.e. fully understanding what each development is) because obviously the project attracts a very unique/limited set of devs and interest.

Just wanted to reach out to all the devs/contributors and say thanks for all the hard work. It's really appreciated. Although I don't understand every single development that has happened it is obvious that a lot of hard work has been put into this project (and yes, to state the obvious which many crypto investors don't realize--people do have personal lives besides these projects).

Thanks.

+1 - I share your sentiment and appreciation. I remember the way the ICO was laid out, from the website to the technical paper and on - I see that this team is a gem. I respect their intellect and ability, thus far.

If we can find the slack channel admin, and get some new channels created to split up topics for easy info relay that would be a Huge first step. I have admin'd a slack before and I am willing to assist with that for XEL (small but first effort).

We do just need a final confirmation whether or not Leifeng is around and can help us out. If not might need to create a new channel, which takes all of 5 minutes.

Will stay tuned to see what next steps want to be taken on this.

Edit 1: PMed Leifeng on slack - was in Do Not Disturb mode - will wait for response.

Was able to speak with Leifeng. He is still active but mentioned he didnt have much experience with slack channel management and offered to give me keys to help out.

There are a bunch of other channels in the elastic slack also but they do not display by default for new people so we might need to do some tinkering with channel priv's to fix that.

Just having more people in the slack and getting them invited to the channels will be a good place to start.

If I can help with the Slack channel in any way (even though I have zero experience) give me a shout Selsonblue.

I'm a quick learner.  :-)

I've been extended keys. Slack has a TON of functionality and external plugins. If you guys have specific requests come by the channel and PM me I can try to research them and get them added.

Im Boardwalk in the chat Btw.

Status update coming soon ;-) This weekend I have enough time to summarize everything I have done so far (in our road map) and set up everything so you can try out. It has been a pretty "travellish" week with a lot of offline time.

Had another shot at the testnet.

someuser@someuser:~/wallets/elastic-docker$ ./run_docker.sh
9599178f6ef0e32173e7660379692b55347a02a8cc516a08b7bf8bca7c20e9df
someuser@someuser:~/wallets/elastic-docker$ ./stop_docker.sh
Stopping Elastic-Core. This may take up to 30 seconds
** no elastic-core container running
someuser@someuser:~/wallets/elastic-docker$

 Huh

edit: found this

/usr/bin$ docker events

 Huh

I would wait until the next version of the test net.
Also, I am a tad irritated by the "question mark smiley"  Wink After running ./run-docker.sh there is no need to stop it again. Instead, you could use any standard web browser to access your local elastic instance at url http://localhost:6876.

All that is explained here: http://elastic-project.com/installing_and_running_elastic (2016/11/29 15:13)

There is no browser instance because, as you can see in the docker events, the process dies immediately.
The question icon refers to that I don't get that it starts up and dies right after, even though I followed your instructions to the letter.

Humaniq And Cointelegraph Announce Blockchain Oscar Startup Competition
https://cointelegraph.com/news/humaniq-and-cointelegraph-announce-blockchain-oscar-startup-competition

"If you are an awesome team of awesome people who are working on a project tackling a real-life problem deploying a Blockchain technology, you should start filling in a registration form, like… now."

I think Elastic more than qualifies.  :-)

Thoughts?

To me it looks like they are promoting a new form of banking...which xel really can't help with.  But I may have misread what they are doing.
