Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now.. 
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

I've heard it ETH is a test coin, but I do not elaborate it, ETH is good for long-term investments.

ETH has been tested for two years, it is very robust.

Ethereum is a good coin and 2 years are enough for us to see ethereum as a big coin. As you can see, ethereum is used almost everywhere. While bitcoin is gold 2.0, ethereum is definitely silver 2.0 aka digital silver

For me its a good coin. But to make sure don't just hold altcoins and wait for the big wave. Trade it! buy low sell high.

For ne it is a good altcoin perhaps it is the most successful altcoins this year if bitcoin cadh is not considered ad an altcoins but among all the considered as altcoins,  ethereum gets the top spot when it becomes to price. And a lot of people loves it because it have a lot of potential, I can see that they getting successful just like what bitcoins are before but fo me they cannot surpass bitcoins because bitcoins is the pioneer and the most successful cryptos. But when talking about altcoins probably ethereum it a big name.

For me its also a good coin among the other altcoin , like what you said Etherium is the most popular altcoin for this year. Aside from bitcoin it is also a good coin to keep.

As we all know ETC has a good value in the market of digital currency. So, for me its a good investment if you try Etherium, since it has a name.

For me eth is legit. I believe with this coin will growing and growing. More and more token or project use this platform. If this is continue i have no doubt eth will be one of bitcoin competitor.

Yes i also like ETH. ETH has a high potential. I have already invested in it. They call ETH the next Bitcoin all hail ETH. I would sell them at a high price in order to make money from investing.

Investing is called give money and get more money. This works with every coin like altcoins and BTC also.

I'm new to crypto and I see eth to be a very strong alt coin. How much is the total $$$ now in eth if we add all tokens in it + eth price? Is it close or higher than BTC now?

If it's higher than BTC, then etherium (NOTE: the platform, not coin) is now more valuable than Bitcoin.

It is a good alt for having more money you can make more money out of it when you invest in ETH. They say that ETH will suprass bitcoin and will takeover his place damn that would be very awesome everyone would then sell their bitcoins and purchase some ETH, and ETH would be very high so we would have more profit yeah. I would then invest again to have more money out of investing in ETH and so on and on i would have a lot of money.

The matter of fact is both bitcoin and Ethereum are very impactive from investment prespective , but one should consult the experts of this area before investing in it.

Ethereum is second to bitcoin. That is at least from my own perspective. But when I noticed that almost all the posters here are newbies and are blindly promoting ETH with one-liner posts, not well-thought of ones, I almost instantly concluded that these are payed accounts trying to raise the hype once more for ETH. Not a good way.

i never know eth will pay for posts, if you know there is a way to get paid of eth, please let me know, and i think many people will show interest

Exactly, till now I have seen any prompting material for ETH, I think for ETH there is no need to any promoting because already many coins are being launched under ETH blockchain only and moreover many companies asking for ETH investments. That is always enough for promoting ETH.

If u want to invest in ETH and confused here are some points to watch them.There is lot of great things are coming up for Ethereum.They have a great network coming up with dapps ( decentralized apps)Their technology is just too good to not break through and while Bitcoin is already outdated , this is just the beginning for Ethereum.One day Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin as biggest cryptocurrency , and it will be sooner then you think.Looking at how things are rolling for ETH, I can only say that ETH is here to stay.Just invest some money in Ethereum,forget it and look at it after 1 year, it will be one of the best investments you have ever made.

As of now we have opted to transfer our miner to ethereum mining, since it is one of the coin that can still be mined with profitability as compared to other coins.
We are also engaged in collecting minerium coin which is also part of ethereum blockchain in preparation for the upcoming launching of artemine.
We indeed find that there is a big future for ethereum coins thats why we are now staying with it.

You've been in that position and been here for a couple of months and yet you don't know what are legitimate concerns about ether.
If Ethereum is is not good anyway, do you think it will stand long up to now and increases value if it is not good? Ethereum is very useful in the ico project, meaning it is really good.

Although I used to think that Etherium was in a bubble, but I have changed my thinking about it now. I think Etherium is the next best thing to bitcoin and after studying it deeply and understanding the platform it provides for other blockchain based projects, I think one of the next top companies will be built upon Etherium. I have been buying ETH and will keep buying till it stays under 300USD and I think it might reach the current price of bitcoin within couple of years.

A very quality decision you have made there mate! Most people have always presumed that until they realize how much they have been missing with ethereum.
It came up with its own innovation which has been very effective in the industry. This does not mean it does not have its own cons though, but the pros have somehow been able to overcome all that.
