Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now.. 
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Ethereum is a blockchain for smart contracts, so it has a very good use case, i even prefer Ethereum to Bitcoin

As long as ethereum is doing well then this could would have a space in my investment portfolio. I have made decent profit thru buying and selling eth on trading sites for months so despite of all the hacking issues popping out about etherium I won't leave it unless it becomes useless for me.

Think ethereum is still alive and kicking, though fud vs eth is everywhere. Given that almost all of the platforms of incoming ico's are undereth. Which indicates ethereum is still a good investment.

I'm a little bit more cautious about ETH compared to a few months ago. Recent bugs and management team positions have made me questions about the future of this project. By the way, it's still a top cryptocurrency and it's breaking now the $700 theresold

If bitcoin continues to grow, then in a few days the etherium will return to the positions from which its fall began (about 800 dollars). At the same time I very much doubt that the coin will go up further. At this stage, the price of the etherium is too high.

Yes, the development of ethereum looks good and I think it can be last very longer. Ethereum for me is the most used altcoins and that is why ethereum is the best coin beside btc for future reference.

Ethereum is a good altcoin. Why? because this coin ethereum have a big potential for the future, and check the latest price of ethereum it is increasing, and guess what it will still increase until the 2018 ends. Ethereum is the best altcoin now, and for me ethereum is the king of altcoin no one can beat or surpass ethereum when it comes to potential, and to it's future.

I agree with you completely. It seems to me that ETH is one of the most reliable and promising coins. Especially if the reward for mining decreases.

ETH network is vulnerable and has weak security. Sooner or later, coins such as EOS will appear and replace ETH, taking its place. But we still have one year.
