470 is a 256 bit card, 24Mh is expected, but not for a 128 bit like the 460, you are mixing things up

Yes. the 460 will probobly be slower.

But the 470 retails at $149 for the 4gb version.

Nice. However probably next to impossible to buy due to shortages.

$149 will be $200 at launch and due to demand probably never at $149 but a bit higher

I agree with that. The 480 should be $200, but it is $250 or more in many countries. The demand is high.

I saw price of £165 in the Scan.co.uk. That is the Sapphire brand. But you have to preorder the card now.

That Sapphire card has 8 pin PCIE power connector, so the power draw from the PCIE slot will be lower.

I like the 8Pin PCIE socket. That will have the potential to overclock the graphics card and have higher hash rate.

AMD rx470/480 6 pin connector burn pciexpress Huh .

470 no, because tdp is 110w, so 75 from 6 pin plus 35 from pcie, 480 was fixed with a drivers, but better to wait for custom design with 8 pin

I find it strange that there is more RX470 discussion here than in any of the RX470 threads.

Also at that, mentioning low prices like $149 that we know will be and already has been marked up well above that compared with the GTX 1070's already marked price? And totally misrepresenting the RX460. This is just derailing a thread now. Let's just find a single RX 470 thread to consolidate all of this into and make another thread to conduct GPU wars over what is better. I come in here to see what is up with the GTX 1070 or GTX 1080. I come into the RX threads to know about the RX cards.

Going on topic. My EVGA FTW edition arrived at my home, purchased at 450 USD and looking at amazon now they marked it up to 500+ now. I lucked out. Once I am home I will see if the 10+2 power phases translates to more efficient mining or not.

Any update for 1070 and windows 10 mining ?

Question - Has anyone experienced the BSOD with the Evga GTX 1070 SC and Windows 10 Pro 64 bit?  Specifically this error: Video_TDR_Failure (NVLDDMKM.SYS)

It doesn't happen often however I have only had this issue on my new rig.

System:
Windows 10 Pro
32 gb DDR3 Ram - Corsair
240 gb SSD - Ultra II Sandisk
ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX
AMD FX 4-Core Black Edition FX-4300

Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this and what your fix was?

Thanks - pokeytex
