So I finally got Win 10 Anniv Update + 369.09 + Genoil 1.1.7. However my 1080 FE is only mining 20 MH/sec. Is this expected? I'm seeing posts above about the 1070 getting 25. Is my batch file screwed up?

1080 has different type of memory. Its actual speed is 1250 vs 2000 in Gtx 1070. May be this is the reason.

1080 is bad for Ethereum as it has slow memory. But it is good  for other algorithms as it has more processors.

For the people asking about the 1060, I have 5 coming and I'll let you know once they get here since people seem to be less than helpful everywhere.

I own 1060, since it has 1.5 times less CUDA cores than 1070 it performs 1.5 times worse. Price difference and power use are also around the same factor.

ETH will not go to PoS for long time. If it is PoS, it will be a almost dead coin. Without the miners, the community is too small.

I don't think Nvidia would put slow memory in their flagship 1080. It has GDDR5X instead of GDDR5, it is probably faster just like DDR4 is faster than DDR3. My guess is the mining software or windows is not optimized or using the 1080's memory correctly. All games, even heavily memory dependant ones on the gpu, are much faster on the 1080 than 1070. This should get better once people that know what they are doing optimize for 1080's memory.

GeForce drivers are way to young for 1070/1080 mining.

Give it time and hash rates will get better.

I think it's just like with AMD fury: higher bandwidth but higher latency as well. That hurts mining.

Anyone tried to set 6 x 1070 up? I'm getting "not enough resuources for 6th card"?

Hmm it's @ 64000 but no help. 16GB RAM, Z170GAMING K3 mobo, Pentium G4400, 1250W Gold CHIEFTEC, Win 7 and 368.81 drivers may be issue?

win7 does NOT support 6 cards by default. For AMD cards you have special 6gpu mod. You should install win10, it supports 6 gpu by default, or try linux. Also not every MB can support 6 cards, no mather it has 6 pcie slots

Maybe I should say that I have several 6 cards setups, win7 and Nvidias ( 750Ti, 960, 970, 980 and 980Ti, even mixed ) all working ( some 1 year already ) but got stuck on 1070 now. Will try H81 BTC and w 10 and post here. That will eliminate mobo and OS problems...

For those interested: H81pro BTC, 8GB RAM, Celeron 1840 and 6x 1070G1 are flying. Same Win 7 and "old" 368.81...even didn't touch page file. As-ROCK-S!

I would just prefer to not use exchanges and store everything in wallets and just use shapeshift to do exchanges.

180 watt for 29 eth and 780 sia is bad
rx 480 does around 26 eth and 470 sia for half the price , that is if you can find any rx 480 lol
