you need to underclock the core, you will not lose much on sia and reduce wattage

180 watt for 29 eth and 780 sia is bad
rx 480 does around 26 eth and 470 sia for half the price , that is if you can find any rx 480 lol
Yes, it is not so spectaculars as in lbry or lyra2v2 but it is 30+780 against 26+470 with the same power usage.
Now I stop with (31.6eth+630sia)@2050/2400@0.975v. Doubt that rx480 can come near even with bios mods.

What brand & model 1070 did you buy?  I can't get anywhere near those OC numbers without artifacts and forced reboots.  Best I've been able to do with my MSI Gaming X 1070 is 1950 core, 4465 memory, and 1031mV core voltage.

Its a palit with Samsung memory. If you have Micron GDDR5 memory then you really can't clock it much higher than 4300. If you have still Samsung memory but a bad cooling solution (f.e. inno3d) then it might also only let you clock to ~4400.

I can mine with 4800 memory clock on my Palit, will check the speeds right now.

same thing can't oc above +600-700 or artifact will be all over the place, this with g1 gaming, samsung memory, what palit do you have jetstream or gamerock?

I just checked GPU-Z, and it says I've got GDDR5 (Micron).  I've never heard of Palit before.  Even more interesting that Amph has the same Samsung memory as you, but he's seeing the same OC limits that I am...  If there's a card out there that can OC that much more, I'm pretty damn tempted to return my cards, get a refund, and purchase them instead - and something tells me I'm not the only one that feels this way.

actually the 480 does that at a max of 150 watts, 180 watts is just too much for my PSU's

Mine is SuperJetstream with Samsung memory. They already have bios with increased TDP so they can OC better. Plus in palit thunderstorm utility you can raise gddr memory voltage to achieve better memory OC.

actually the 480 does that at a max of 150 watts, 180 watts is just too much for my PSU's

Actually i didn't do correct wattage measurements from the wall. I rely to nvidia software readings ... So I guess it is 170-180watt.
I know that bios mod for rx480 can push it to 32mhs eth but only in single mode and no less then 180watt with crazy temps.

so you increased the voltage for the +1000 mem? this explain everything

the 480 does 31MH on ethereum plus 750 on sia? i really doubt this is the case and at 150w...

show proof at least, anyway he pushed it too much, he can adjust the core to consume 150w while maintaining a good compromise

Elivop said his 480 can do that. But he did not show the power usage yet. Only showed the GPUZ displayed 100W. So the true power could be 175 *112% on the wall.

he showed that it can do 31Mh on etheruem only, not 31MH PLUS 750MH on sia

dual mining with 480 is 24/350.. far from 1070

no way with 2200 memory and 100 v undervolt on mem and core I get 26mhs eth and 427 SIA for 150 watts

1070 should not be using 180 watts , the problem with the NVIDIA builds is how do you lower core and memory voltage as easily as you can for AMD
and don't say setting power limit its not the same as lowering the core and memory voltages.

Until that is easy to DO Rx 480 will be still a better build for new miners

For GTX 1070 I can change clock/voltage table as I need. Then by adjusting TDP slider I peek needed range that will be used. Very easy and works without bugs.
Gtx 1070 could use 80 watt and could use 180 watt, hashrates will vary accordingly, what to prefer is up to you ))

If the 1070 cannot do 27mhs eth and 700ish sia for under 150 watts its not really worth it for eth mining probbaly better for other coins

180 wats is too high for those hash rates is all i am saying

it can do 30MH at 80w or lower, so i find it strange that you need 100w just for 750MH on sia, because when you mine sia only you need 140w for 1.5 giga so for half of that 70w should suffice

therefore the wattage should be 80+70=150w...

yeah thats what im saying no way a 1070 should pull over 150 watt do dual mine SIA if it is then its not worth buying for dual miners.  If anything I would perfer 30 eth and 600 sia for 130 watt

For GTX 1070 I can change clock/voltage table as I need. Then by adjusting TDP slider I peek needed range that will be used. Very easy and works without bugs.
Gtx 1070 could use 80 watt and could use 180 watt, hashrates will vary accordingly, what to prefer is up to you ))
Wait, how are you adjusting voltages?  Would you mind elaborating?
