Would not recommend that!!!  If the original frequency was 550, you really want to keep it at 550m

can i buy heatsink and use it with this Arctic Silver on S9 550 Chips which not have heatsink on it to be like 600 batches?

Just wanted to give a POSITIVE shoutout to Bitmain Warranty, bought a new S9 from them that i had an issue with. They immediately sent me a return label and promptly issued me a refund. I really cant see a reason to buy new Bitmain hardware from anyone else!

Good I am glad they helped you out.

They have replaced 2 dead boards and are doing one more Rma for me as I type.

If you are USA based consider them for repair vs China .

My third board is out of warranty so I will report back repair price on it soon.

I wonder if these batches are going to be more reliable? Also strange to suddenly have very precise hashing figures compared to previous batches of all miners.

I think they simply rounded up the numbers.

I've got hosting space for about half a dozen S9 if anyone's looking to buy but needs somewhere to put 'em. $65 per kilowatt per month means about $3 a day. Just throwing that out there.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

Has anyone turned the fan speed down on their S9? Just how quiet can you get it? Im asking as im considering one for home (currently have an S7LN) and ambient temperature isn't a problem so overheating wont be either. Just thinking that an S9 would have more resale potential if I decide to give up on mining.

Yes but the resale value of an R4 is probably not as good as the S9. Also with the S9 I can run one board at a time and keep two as spares (due to limited amount of power I can use). But the noise is the factor. Hence why I asked if anyone has turned the fans down at all and what the volume is like.

I'll let you know about speed in a week or so.  So far (knocking on my wooden desk) I have not had any reliability issues with S9's.  But I only have 5.
I had one bad board with the S7's and that was a warranty cluster.  Any issues with these and I'm paying the extra $ to send it to Yoshi at BW(still knocking).

Ja. Glad I ordered my (probably last) s9 yesterday. This will make 8 of them and hopefully it will be as good as most of my others have been. It already started shipping so should show up Thurs or Fri methinks.
Too bad the R4 never came up for sale -- I'd rather have gotten 2 of those for space heating use...
