Is Gulden a good investment?

I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other alt coins are way over priced?

Im not sure this seems like a 50-50 investment.

It's been a great investment for me and the price has been stable for awhile against all fiat currencies. I really can't complain.

They could start with at least tweeting about their update for godsakes, you got to admit this is very sad. I like this coin but they need help with marketing.

It’s not sad, I talked to him, he is just over-causious. Wanting nothing to go wrong. He will announce the update on official channels a bit later. It’s peoples money, they are going a great lenght to bring good software.

They released to the Apple store (and is accepted), but are not confident yet that something could go wrong? Are they still testing it? And others have already reported on it (was this leaked)?

It's safe, wallet works very well. A lot faster then the previous version. Haven't tested the link feature yet.

Gulden has slipped further down the coinmarketcap rankings to position 122, if it goes out of the top 200 it's game over.  This isn't trolling.

I doubt the team is this stupid not to market the updates, the benefit of a terrible ranking on coinmarketcap is other coins won't bother to look at what Gulden is doing until it's too late. With PoW2 and SegSig the rest of them will be eating Guldens dust for breakfast.  I am not saying this update will do anything for the price but I imagine when marketing does start people will see how much better this coin is compared to the rest.

See, we can agree on something! No need to insult poor Africans. And I know for a fact that the African DEV is not a slave, but a mercenary (well paid). I stop going to the Gulden slack for a long time, the same talk how great the gulden is and that the rest of the alt coins is a scam. I noticed that Jean luc(i like youre site)and some others are more positive then rest.
Any forum of slack has the same talk how good there coins is. I do not expect any wonders of all the coins, but i do hope that the gulden will do beter then some other coins. For my is rijk a crossing from Rainman and sheldon cooper he knows what he is talking about but his communication skill are not great. is the gulden a scam..hmm no, will the gulden be the best coin ever no(and no i am not a troll)....But its has potential if the there marketing was better.

No I agree with you that marketing could be better, although I get the argument to first make the ‘product’ good enough that it can be used by ordinairy people without crypto knowledge, safely, as an fiat alternative.

I'm surprised about the massive amount of FUD here posted by the same few people who just keep popping up everytime I browse this topic. It's fine guys, by now it has become pretty clear you don't like Gulden, there's really no reason why you should keep posting here and there's likely a lot more useful things you can do with your time. In the meantime, why not let people make their own decisions regarding what coins to invest in? I keep a small amount of Gulden and will remain patient for the SegSig and Pow2 release.

I realize that I could've gotten more profits if I had instead invested in different coins, but I think if coins like Vert and Groestl can make huge gains out of nowhere Gulden can too. And if not: too bad, and I'll move past it This is crypto after all.

Whereas a lot of devs and CEO he is still here and doing is work. The fact that he wants to protect himself and think long term, is totally ok, why shouldn´t it be?

Serious investors look for long term growth and stability, others like Biomike have been calling for Gulden team to get a company going because when regulation and tax directives start coming AND they will , 99.9% of all the other coins are going to be in serious trouble. Seeing the Gulden.com B.V was more important then the iOS update for me personally. It shows Rijk is most likely already paying taxes.

This puts Gulden in a very strong position.

As for no rich people, I could easily keep the price at 3000sat for the next 5 years but serious investors know not to manipulate a serious project and there is many more like me that feel this way. It needs to grow naturally, Gulden is more then about making quick profits.

Please explain how would you only target poor people? And, even if he would, it would still be a respectful move.
