has anyone done a recent comparison of optiminer-equihash2.1.2 and dstm-v0.6.0 w/ nvidia cards for zec? Would love to know where the advantage is.

I have just another info
Bminer make 1-2% plus share than DSTM on BTG suprnova. (this have under win10 too)
20×1060 6G c:150 m:400 p:75
4×1070 c:120 m:400 p:110

I'll try optiminer a few day, and will share results

Yes, i tried bminer 5.4.0 for 24 hours and a had a lot more invalid shares than dstm (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519271.msg31858170#msg31858170 see my post #1005). maybe the latest version of bminer 5.5.0 is better with less invalid shares?

Now SMOS bminer6.0.0 run on 3 rigs, approximatley 1 rejected share come with 1k valid share.
On 4th rig testing a concurent OS, run bminer5.5.0. That have two times bigger rejected share rate (93400valid/206invalid at the moment)
But fact: that miner not maked restart since 8 day ago, while 3 another was restart. Just miner, not the system.

Tytanick thanks for your support and all that you do for us...

I would like to try mine Ravencoin. Can somebody please let me know what wallet is best to use and what command in SM I have to use to mine it.

Thanks a lot for your help guys.

Also I want to know can I use same OC settings or something else is better for raven? I have Saphhire Rx580 8 Gb rig.

Cheers.

Link contains all the info you'll need for wallet.

https://medium.com/@bryceyoung0/how-to-mine-cpu-ravencoin-rvn-fed34428315f

SMOS Config

-k x16r -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636 -u YOURWALLETADDYHERE -p x

Change pool to whatever youre gonna use.
GL

I use the official Raven-Core wallet and Cryptobridge Decentralized Exchange for buy/sell RVN/BTC

Thanks guys!

I did try this and I get this error:
[08:44:36] Started sgminer 5.5.5-gm-a
[08:44:36] config.json using Jansson 2.7/root/xminer.sh: line 68: 26206 Illegal instruction $MINER_PATH $MINER_OPTIONS

hed. Restarting miner in 10 seconds --------------

This is what I used in SM:
-k x16r -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636 -u RL9gZ42JHaGgE5cGvA5c3VoR3doRsUWjKU -p x

I did try with sgminer-brian112358-x16r-v0.0 and sgminer-gm-aceneun-x16r-v5.5.5

Are you overclocking and undervolting your cards?  Ive noticed x16r doesn't really like it, so running all stock settings.  Once you get it running then adjust your intensity settings.  20 is working well for my MSI cards. average 7 Mh/s each.

For BEST results

For AMD Cards / sgminer variants ACENINE or BRIAN
Add these to your sgminer command line.....  -I 21 --thread-concurrency 1024 --gpu-threads 2

For NVIDIA Cards - ccminer fork - Enemy
use this in your password field, -p x d=16 -i 19

Thanks I will try that. What OC settings are default in SM for Saphirre RX580, 8 Gb?

So if I get you right this should be my command in SM in Brian miner:
-k x16r -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636 -u RL9gZ42JHaGgE5cGvA5c3VoR3doRsUWjKU -p x -I 21 --thread-concurrency 1024 --gpu-threads 2

I have 5 GPUs.

Getting the same issue on 16 gb USB but works fine on 32 gb SSD. Seems a hard drive memory issue rather than OC issue.

Yeah.  I'd say it's time to start working backwards troubleshooting everything.  I'm on a cheap 8gb stick and it works fine, but I've had some bad ones in the past.  I switched from Claymore to SGacenine with no issues.  GL!!!!!!

is there a way to change the GPU's LED colors in simple mining? Oddly enough , have 2 zotac 1080 ti's that display red led and one that displays a blue pulsing led. Or, can they be changed in windows, would that change be carried over to SMoS?

You can change them in Windows and they will keep their settings in any other OS. Worked for my Zotac 1070ti Amp Extreme's.

INFO:
Tomorrow we will be working on new xmr miners that will work with xmr hardfork.
So the miners will be released BEFORE hardfork to catch the profitability at the best point Smiley

Bravo Tytanick - thanks for not forgetting the Cryptonite miners

What do you think of Monero dev team decision to fork and fight Bitmain's ASICs?

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Anyone else having this issue?

W10 works like a charm when i boot up.

https://prnt.sc/ixut0dhttps://prnt.sc/ixut0d

- Ethernet cable is working, already tried different cables, but the one that it has worked on W10.

- This happens since first boot

- Config.txt has my email

- The rig doesn't appear on Rig list to set up the group for it

- I think it doesnt have internet, because on first boot it doesnt update the miners or simplemining itself

- already tried build 1146 and 1143 on different usb and sticks

- 4G is enabled and GEN3 on Bios

- Running lastes Bios for MSI Z270-A Pro v15

Still getting the same error

I'm running 5 - Rx 570, and 1 Rx 470

I have also seen similar problem in a recent build with 4 MSI 580. Same mining voltage and clocking settings draws ~550W from the wall in Win 10, while in SMOS wall power draw is ~800W.
I do notice that when set for 1180MHz core clock, that's exactly what the miner runs on in Win 10. While in SMOS, the status monitor shows the core is actually running around ~1260MHz.
It is seems the undervolting and clock setting are not working with some cards.

undervolting is not working for my rig? in windows i set each rx 470 for 825mV. work fine. 920Watt on the wall. but here i set undervolt to 825 but the rig uses 1250Watt shows that core voltage is not working.
any reason?
sapphire rx 470 mining edition Elpida memory

any help?

I got the same with my Rx480. In config there is Core MHz:1200, but in console: 1225 1225 1225 1225 1225 1225 1225 1225 (6)
When I set lower Mhz in config it becomes lower in mine, but the value is not from config. Power drain I didnt measure, but miner during it start says it set power to configs values.

is it possible in SMOS to run multi algo miner? On the pool of zergpool, ahashpool, miningpoolhub? Thank you.

SMOS is just a simple and central platform to manage rigs, monitor temps & pool selection, grouping, etc. via multiple mining apps (Claymore, ccminer, etc.)

Meanwhile, the multi-coin/hopping per algo function resides in the pools multi-algo capability usually specified by port number.

For example my AMD farm mines at Nicehash, ZPOOL, AHASHPOOL and MPH without any issues.

Dont confuse SMOS as a mining app....

When we change miners do we save all miners on USB stick or we save just last one we choose? Is there any way we can delete old versions of miners we don't use anymore and free some space on USB stick? I have 16Gb one.

Last 3-4 days my rig restarts 4-6 times at day. RX580, Claymore 11.5, ETH. OC is same as before.
Does anybody else have same problem?
Try lowering clocks. It might be also riser problem.

Riser is not problem. Yesterday I switched to ETC with same OC settings and in last 24h i have 0 restarts. Also I try lower OC for a bit and while mining ETH I still had restarts.

This is my OC settings I use for a while now:
Core: 1155,1155,1155,1155,1153
Mem: 2222,2222,2222,2222,2210
Undervolt: 926,926,926,926,926
Rwrstage: 3
Target temp: 60
Min fan: 30

This is what I got:
ETH: 03/29/18-09:08:44 - New job from eu1-etc.ethermine.org:5555
ETH - Total Speed: 152.510 Mh/s, Total Shares: 26, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:14
ETH: GPU0 30.517 Mh/s, GPU1 30.570 Mh/s, GPU2 30.543 Mh/s, GPU3 30.517 Mh/s, GPU4 30.363 Mh/s
GPU0 t=60C fan=33%, GPU1 t=60C fan=30%, GPU2 t=59C fan=30%, GPU3 t=52C fan=27%, GPU4 t=51C fan=27%

Speeds are same on ETH.

Also If somebody can recommend better OC settings I will like to try.

What are the coins can be minned in X16 algorithm

Reading the whitepaper the MIT devs created X16R algo specifically for the RVN coin - and to be ASIC resistant.

The X16R hashing algorithm consists of 16 hashing algorithms operating in chain
fashion with the ordering dependent on the last 8 bytes (16 nibbles) of the hash of the
previous block. The algorithms are as follows:

0=blake
1=bmw
2=groestl
3=jh
4=keccak
5=skein
6=luffa
7=cubehash
8=shavite
9=simd
A=echo
B=hamsi
C=fugue
D=shabal
E=whirlpool
F=sha512

Example:
Previous Block Hash:
0000000000000000007e8a29f052ac2870045ae3970270f97da00919b8e86287

The final 8 bytes: 0x7da00919b8e86287

Each hex digit (nibble) determines which algorithm to use next.

cubehash -> shabal -> echo -> blake -> blake -> simd -> bmw -> simd -> hamsi ->
shavite -> whirlpool -> shavite -> luffa -> groestl -> shavite -> cubehash
