Hi, I have a 6x r9 390 rig with H81 pro mobo, it has been working fine with Windows but with the constant drop of ethash speed, I'm giving a try to setup smos before I decide to dismantle it.

.I've flashed a 16gb usb3 pen with the latest image, but it can't seem to boot properly.

.Either it gets stuck after grub or if I choose the recovery mode option, it shows a no screen attached error on every card

.the rig shows up on the online dashboard

.if I swap one 390 with a gtx 1070, it will boot with all cards detected (only with recovery mode) and starts to mine but it is not possible to control the amd fan speeds, so they start to heat up to 90º.


Is there any image that has been tested to work with this rig config?

Maybe pendrive is broken ?
Try SSD if you can erase whole drive

Also can you post screenshot of your error exactly ?

Just tested with another pen and doesn't boot at all from grub, I have to choose recovery mode and it will boot

It started to update and then downloaded the previous config with the gtx 1070(?)

I already deleted the rig from the list but every time I restart it shows up again on the list with the core and mem settings of nVidia

Is there any way of deleting the rig config?

I'll try that image but if it downloads again the previous settings it will keep trying to find a nVidia card.

No worries about config in rig list.
Try this latest image and see if it will boot up without problems.
After that you can adjust your settings again in OC modal.
First we just need to boot it up, settings are not the fault of it

Been using RigRestter perfectly for a year, now the SRR tool looks ok but when I try to connect nothing happens. I can ping it, I can http to it but I cant connect to it in SRR Tool, Any thoughts> TY

Be sure that you do not have any other network interfaces enabled, especially VPN, Team Viewer VPN, or Wifi if you are using Lan, and LAN if you are using wifi
Also try rebooting windows.
If this still will not help, please write to us at admin@simplemining.net so we can resolve your issue with team viewer session.

Now, I'd like to undervolt the cards,

I set overclock to 1050 1500 950 but I get a message specified memory state doesn't exist and that these are not RX cards and it reverts to defaults

the only tabs that are working are the powerstates and fan speed

setting it to powerstate 6 is the only way to underclock it to 1011 and cool the cards a bit

Can You write to us at admin@simplemining.net so we could check it from our end ?
I will check if this can be solved quickly or not. Setting dpm level is the best right now as you noticed.
Overclocking using standard method needs to be verified as we do not have R9 390 GPU (only 380 which is totally different).

Dashboard Update
- WARNING - there is new method when you are adding new rig to account, you need to click "Add rig" button in your dashboard RigList view in order to allow new rigs to be added to your list
- NEW FEATURE - you can now put your rigs to sleep for specified number or hours and minutes. In that case they will power off now and auto power on in specified time. Warning, this may not work on some motherboards that does not support this feature. Please test your rig when you are around and set time like 7 minutes and se if they will power on again after that time.
- We are also planning to make sleep process fully automatic so you could set time range in which rig should be powered off (if this feature will work on most rigs then we will proceed, please vote up this feature to show us that you want it
- eye icon is not changed to (i) icon which is more obvious
