WTB:

30K HEAT

post the offers  Grin

Lowest I can sell for is 100k satoshi each

Maybe we could make a OTC trading thread to consolidate all this trading activity in one place.  This would help to show the trading interest when petitioning exchanges to list HEAT

yeah maybe you can make an buy and sell thread, but is there any info about poloniex add or something?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Alcurex and openledger are working on getting HEAT deposits/withdraws fully integrated.  We'll see what c-cex does after they remove their buy wall on 9 february.

Heat wallet will have a built-in decentralized exchange.

HEAT holders could help the team campaign to get listed on additional exchanges.  Fire up your twitters, slacks, IRCs, and emails!

Does anyone actually have control over their heat yet? I have yet to be able to claim mine through the main net on the webwallet. I can confirm through my old NXT acount through which I made my investment, but see no option to do so. Any ideas?

IMO ICO price is much lower than your price, right? Dude, you can make a topic for trading, or wait for the exchange listing, but I doubt this coin will be listed in any exchange.

Yes, everyone that invested through the ICO (without doing that through an exchange) has full control over their heat. I have received and sent test transaction without any problems already.

Hey all, I'm the one running the current "forge report". I built it for myself to have a better understanding of the "ROI" for forging. If you have any requests/suggestions, let me know. I'll improve it in iterations as I have time. I'm a pretty small investor, but I've got technical abilities.

Gladly accepting tips at 7052876572805488467 if you enjoy the report!

Forge Report (incl estimates/month) : http://54.221.26.215/

That's very nice ROI.
Where is the pos & pop rewards coming from? Newly minted coins??

Yes, newly minted

We're working to deploy downloadable client + server package with graphical forging UI on github before the forging rewards start paying on block 4320.

Meanwhile another, still technical way to set up forging:

Get JDK SE from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
(Click accept license agreement radiobutton first)

Download and unzip https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger/releases

Define your own apikey, can be whatever string of characters, in conf/heat-default.properties

Start heatledger (Linux) or heatledger.bat (Windows)

run from command line the following after first making applicable changes to it:

Code:
curl -k -s http://localhost:7733/api/v1/mining/start/this%20is%20your%20secret%20phrase\?api_key=defined_in_heat-default.properties

If you don't have curl, download from the curl site

Are the above instructions enough to begin both PoS and PoP forging?

Yes.  Currently PoP rewards are added to PoS rewards until block slices are needed.

The one change I'd suggest is to define your own API key in a (new) conf/heat.properties file which can be copied to any new releases.  This file will override any settings in the default one.  Its not good practice IMHO to modify the default properties file.

Except for the fact that no one from Ccex confirmed that they will be actually adding the free coins (at least I haven't seen such a post from them) and how they handled this is just shady to say the least. I wouldn't touch them with a stick...

Want to buy 0.5BTC of HEAT - pm me !

Just use C-CEX. It's the best deal right now, since they will be adding +50% free coins after they launch their market in a couple of days. Place buy wall or if you are afraid noone will dump (which is quite possible, because HEAT seems to be gaining traction), just buy from the books, there is not much for sell though, but should be enough if you are only small investor.

Correct. This is like buying BTC at 20 USD or ETH at 1 USD. Of course the lower you buy the better, but no point in wasting time looking for sellers, while the price might jump any moment now. I mean, if the devs release GUI server today (like they have been planning) or liqui.io decides to list us or just people on various slacks realise how profitable this coin is, you will have to buy much higher than now. I know that there is always the usual hyping, but in this case it is just facts - you are looking at fresh coin with 1.4 million market cap (Waves has 25 million!!!), that is not yet traded on big exchanges and is about to drop so many innovative features within couple of days/weeks? No point in counting every penny while the others outsmart you. Back when the market was in a dip recently, some people did wan't to pay 8000 sat and now they need to pay much more than that.

True, the c-cex people need to clarify what they plan to do with the multiplier coins and what is their future plan in regard to trading of the coin in their exchange... strange they didn't specify that to say the least

No need to cause fear and uncertainity and doubt (A. K. A. FUD), they never stated they will do therwise. Multiplier was part of the ICO agreement and there is no information that implies they would change that. No exchange will risk their reputation like that. We should not be even having this discussion.

C-CEX has publicly (and incorrectly) stated "HEAT ICO Failed".  And they do not clarify anything other than a buy wall.  If there is fear, uncertainty and doubt, it is of their own creation.

My node is shown with weight -1433, what does it mean?
And after starting forging, I get deadline 0, remaining 0 hitTime 0. Is that OK?

I'm not sure what negative weight is all about.

Regarding forging:
Maybe?  It means your account currently has no forging power.

One of three possibilities:

1) Account is new and has no public key on blockchain.
    * Make one small outgoing transaction to publish the public key.

2) Account balance is below 25 HEAT.
    * This is minimum balance required to forge.

3) Account balance has not vested.
    * There is a small vesting time (1440 blocks?) on newly transferred coins before they can forge (protects agains a certain kind of attack).
