Any word on an updated wallet that will forge
A updated wallet will be out tomorrow but you can fix the current one by updating the blockchain and tweaking some settings.

perfect. moved my openledger funds to wallet, bought more on built in exchange, just need way to forge now and all is good. Cheesy exciting times.

this should help you get back on the heatwallet.com chain

thanks & credit goes to jl777

http://54.221.26.215/       http://54.221.26.215/blockchain-jl777-22936.tgz

So we've decided to back the SuperNet chain?  Sure.

Why are the above websites down?

There'll be a clarification period of a few months for any unclaimed stakes, that are assigned genesis block accounts and held in custody by Heat Ledger Ltd until their owners are sufficiently identified.

^ hey Eliphaz hopefully this is still the case?

My average profitability is now at about 7.5% per month, as indicated by the green line above. Hopefully it will not fall much below this. The last 36 hours have been rough - first I fell off the chain completely and could not get back on. When I finally managed to get back, I joined the wrong chain. Switched to the leading (heatbrowser) chain some hours ago. HEAT will hardfork either later today or during the next few days to fix the issues leading to the frequent forks. I would recommend anyone to wait with major transactions until after the hardfork. The launch has not been smooth so far, but the decentralized high frequency asset-to-asset exchange is something new in the crypto world. If HEAT succeeds, the potential benefit is large. One week has passed since launch, so it is still early days. My guess is that the devs probably will need most of February to stabilize the a2a.

Forging has and has not been a delight. The profit is high but some bumps have occured along the road. Todays hardfork will hopefully fix the forking problem, and as gh2 said, the exchange probably needs much more attention. Anyways, after the forking issue we are on our way up.

The rough start has been a good thing in sence that there is a very capable team in slack, advising and helping out almost on every possible issue. The team will probably plan to execute a community-based marketing promo for the project in the near future. And much more...

This thread has died out because of various incidents and I think it would be a good thing to start a new clean moderated version that would focus on the future of the project.

Any windows forging guide?

If you have the patience to wait for todays hardfork to be implemented, you will be forging in no time only by downloading the local client and starting up the server with it. You CAN begin forging before it also by the same means, but the chain has been a little unstable lately.

Let me get this straight. If I see something like this:

Code:
[{"deadline":1873,"account":"16551254318043834362","remaining":1822,"hitTime":100988502}]

It means my account is successfully forging?

Because my wallet output looks like this:

Yes but the question is if you're on the "right" chain which will probably take over and is at height 27581 now.

FINAL REMINDER

Only 3 days till C-CEX closes the refund process and multiplies all HEAT IOU there.

If you want to sell your HEAT IOU - sell it now. Current sell price is about 0.00010937.

If you are looking to buy some more HEAT - buy it from C-CEX now and they will multiply it by x1.5 in 3 days. For every 1 BTC spent on HEAT on C-CEX you will get 1.5 BTC worth of HEAT.

Good idea!
As someone who is new to heat, I would not mind that.
All coins attract comments that aren't helpful. I'd prefer a discussion of the coin, rather than hyping or so called "fudding".

Not strange at all. You could buy HEAT in multiple ways:
- directly from the devs
- using escrow of well known exchanges

Because not all available HEAT was sold during ICO, a multplier was applied to those who bought in ICO. For every 1 HEAT bought you were actually given 1.5 HEAT. The devs applied this multiplier before they released the coin and so did all the exchanges that were partners in the presale. Only exception was C-CEX, which because of all the delays decided to let people decide if they want to keep their HEAT or get the BTC back. In a couple of days they will change HEAT IOU to normal HEAT and apply the multiplier, that's why people on C-CEX will get additional coins.

Ok..
If I understand the OP correctly there are 25 million heat to be distributed from the genesis block and another 25 million will be produced over the next 4 years.

How many heat are in existence now, and how many will there be once the coins on c-cex are multiplied?
