Linux wallet needed bitchez
Hi,

While waiting for a pre-compiled binary by the dev, if you wish to compile the wallet on linux, I've made a couple of small pull requests on Github, with changes necessary to build it with Boost 1.60 (I had errors with this on my setup):

https://github.com/jewelsproject/coin/pulls

I then ran the following commands in order to build the wallet:
Code:
qmake USE_UPNP=-
make

And everything is working fine!

Hope this helps.

Had a chance to look over your commits and merged then with the main branch, sorry for the delay on that. Also as stated in the slack:

Just a reminder, I'm around if anyone has any questions, feel free to direct message me [on Slack] if I miss something important. Within a few days, @pro4never will be posting an update about Heroes on Steem and i'll also be making an update about the progress of the Jewels Web Portal development mid-way through this week. We've already rsvped for the next week of Beyond Bitcoin over at https://steemit.com/beyondbitcoin/@officialfuzzy/guest-signups-beyond-bitcoin-hangout-172-9-9-16-rsvp-to-friday-s-hangout-refer-projects-for-rewards#@pro4never/re-officialfuzzy-guest-signups-beyond-bitcoin-hangout-172-9-9-16-rsvp-to-friday-s-hangout-refer-projects-for-rewards-20160904t022804470z and hope to you guys can join us at the hang out Smiley

Love these updates. You devs are the best!

Yobit will list JWL anytime soon ?

Put in a req @ https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/ choose free. Anyone can req an add free (does not have to be developer)

Done. I think if Bittrex doesn't add Jewels then Yobit is not a bad starting place to Jewels.

they raised over 300 bitcoin but i message and send suggest to go here https://c-cex.com/?id=vote#suggest

they dont even respond or acknowledged me

what kind of good characters are you

clearly they dont care about us only lining their own pockets

you are an idiot, just because one person goes there does not mean they will automatically add it.  You go to all of them and ask ok?  If you cannot prove your statement, then you are a fucking liar.

yes actully i did go to both of them

these should be some key points for devs

-=- block explorer in my opinion is a large thing to do
-=- getting on exchanges
-=- once we are listed on some better exchanges try to get on coinmarketcap.com, we can maybe get on it now..
-=- what it seems like.. you only have two people working on this.. you need more.. hire more people
-=- try to get some news stories, that would probably make the exchanges notice JEWELS for what it is, a great cryptocurrency, and add them

point to make.. could we see an updated timeline or a timeline for the near future? I think that would shut some of the complainers up..

ok rambling now..

agree on this point. The roadmap for development in the OP is okay. But it is more on adoption rodmap. Another roadmap is for the crypto itself.  Cheesy

A Chinese exchange for any coin would be good but getting on a good one for Jewels and increasing the crytpo userbase would be excellent indeed. You have any connections?

What about https://yunbi.com/ . They have pumped SIACOIN from 0.000100$ to 0.001000$  in one month. Imagine how high they can pump Jewels. Maybe from 0,05$ to 5$

while it is obvious jewels is an amazing coin it wont be pumped to $5 for a long time.
no new coin has that kind of rise in such a short time.
Q1 2017 is when the real action will begin after the heros action.
i am happy just to have been part of a coin that bridges the gap between crypto and gaming upon release, way to go devs.

Still. https://yunbi.com/ is a very good idea.

I think that goes without saying no? any exchange with volume will be a good idea and if it is a Chinese exchange then yes it will be very good idea right it will.

Yeah but the Chinese would go nuttz for Jewels so that would be better than very good and I wouldn't like to speculate on price from such exchanges listing it. Is there a Chinese ambassador or any Chinese investors that maybe able to put on a good work for such a legit project? I am not really in much rush for exchanges to be honest and the acurex just seems dodgy with no volume so I'd stay away from there and wait for a big exchange.

You don't pay enough.

I'm using a headless Jewelsd under Linux. What's the rpc command or startup flag(s) to enable minting / staking?

Add in your config file: server=1
then to start your daemon on background:
./jewelsd &
to unlock your wallet (if encrypted) for staking only:
./jewelsd walletpassphrase [your passphrase] 9999999999 true
...
wait

the server=1 option just tells the wallet to accept JSON-RPC commands. (pretty sure that is, but been wrong a lot today so :p ). I know there used to be a command to disable/enable staking just cant for the life of me remember it.  Sad if I can remember it ill post it Sad

Done as proposed after encrypting the wallet (it is clear text by default, and command fails on clear text wallet).
But it doesn't appear to enable staking. Flag is still false when checking with getstakinginfo, and I don't seem to be receiving any block rewards.

Wait a bit they just distributed coins do you think they will list 1 day old coin? There needs to be code revision from bittrex, ... and they aren't probably working over weekends.

Is anyone staking on the Mac wallet successfully? I upgraded to the new version yesterday, does not look like there's any action going on.

Devs: Would be good to add a version number to the filenames of subsequent mac wallet downloads. I noticed there wasn't one to the 2 prev mac ones.
