Will Jewels as a currency be getting it's own stand alone website, where people can learn more and purchase coins (via paypal)? Kind of like - http://bitcrystals.com/

With that said, there are 2 key reasons that we went the route we did which is the PoS factor which gives people a slight reward for continuing to hold their coins albeit this is not a required thing as shown by BCY. The other reason is many of the less established exchanges, take Yobit for example do not support listing NXT, BTS, etc. assets. Now Bittrex and Poloniex on the other hand are a different story and we can clearly see they have listed assets before. In the unfortunate scenario where the crowdfund didn't raise as much as it did, suppose it only raised 100 BTC or even 50 BTC it would be far more difficult to get listed on the higher tier exchanges as based off our current discussions with Bittrex it's far from as simple as "here's 3 BTC sir, can you now list us," where as with say Yobit it is that simple. It's clear both Bittrex and Poloniex hand pick what projects to add and require said projects demonstrate credability over time before adding them.

All in all what I'm saying is if we were in a position at the end of the ICO where getting listed on a tier 1 exchange seemed unlikely, we needed to be able to be easily listed on one of the other exchanges. Given that our coin is simply a clone of an existing PoS coin with minor modifications, it's not of great difficulty for any exchange to add it as it follows the pretty much exact same RPC api that Bitcoin uses.

i believe it costs 3btc to get listed on bittrex with spotlight (or 5). with the ico funds, i'm sure dev team can fork out that in exchange for a liquid tradable market for JWL on a reliable platform run by 2 security experts.

OP you might want to consider this..

Imo you don't need to actively pursue getting on any of the smaller exchanges like yobit, 1ex or coinexchange. ( they will have much lesser - less than 1-5% - of liquidity on bittrex ). Just focus on listing on Bittrex and everything should work out fine. Continue to do a good job developing the platform and managing the coin and community , and you'll eventually end up on Polo too.
I addressed this for the most part in the above question.

Thanks for replying, and its good to know you will be working on getting listed on Bittrex.

Though they say it's not as simple as just giving 3 btc, judging from how the project looks right now, i'm pretty Jewels will be able to get on trex without even paying anything. Maybe it just needs some push from the community here to drop Bittrex a couple messages/tweets about Jewels. Wink

For sure I also think Bittrex would be glad to have such a coin on their exchange (maybe without even paying the listing fee) - responsible and responsive devs, known identities, proven history of great projects, ... but at first I hope they create some gambling games that would be a massive + before going on exchanges.

Ok fine I will pay 1968. You have a few hundred K you can sell me?

if you want to buy jewel even it is not yet listed in the exchange, you can buy them thru other coin. I believe jwl teams have some discussion about enabling c2-btc-jwl exchange. I hope there is such option in the online wallet. So you can buy c2 wallet to buy jewels. BTW much better if we also buy some c2 early too since this will drive the price of c2 up due to many people who missed the ico wanna get hand on some jwls  Roll Eyes

I hope this doesn't get rushed take your time devs 2-3 weeks before getting on exchanges to build up some anticipation in the meantime maybe introduce first use-cases that would be awesome!
this!  Roll Eyes
I second!  Cool

I third. A  time delay post ICO and releasing when you're happy with the Hero server/content expansion is probably optimal. (I don't mind if it's on earlier either because I might buy some more.)

Yeah I would like to see those added. I did ask as the roadmap has 'Integration of Jewels Gambling Games
Dice, Slots, etc.' slated for around now but I don't know what the current status is maybe I missed the response.

2-3 weeks is too long. Many people want to start trading including me.

I invested in ETH and made money, WAVES, made money, JEWELS made money, NXT made money, BTC made a lot of money!
