you are right, so much ETC fanboys, they only want money and pump, but they dont look at the project itself, thats why etc will never over take ETH
True. Their ETC price rise demand is based on hot air. I tried to look for projects but it is very hard to find something. I found something about paying tickets for a concert with ETC and very few ICO's. That's it. And now I read that their big hope is that miners go away from ETH when it become POS. Seriously ? You need a change from another coin in order to increase your utility ? What about actually building stuff on it and trying to be util and not depend on other chains ?

And I wouldn't be too sure that the miners will go to ETC next year. Ubiq is an ETH fork too and is also POW. They look much more serious in the development department than ETC. They are new and already have more tokens on them than ETC.

That doesn't mean I don't want ETC to go up. I would like to. I have some investments in it. But not my main investments. For the moment ETC's developments are too dissapointing to make it my main investment.

Of course. These things already exist on BTC and ETH. Creative projects and interesting ICO's ... that is what ETC needs. Not copy paste ETH.

I think you can choose ETC and zcash after ethereum switch to PoS. All of them are good choice for long time.

Many people have high expectations for ETC growth, and have already cut ETC prices to more than half, but as the price of bitcoin has risen, ETC prices have declined.

ETC's price is stable right now, it is not decrease you can check https://coinmarketcap.com/ fluctuating of ETC's is no huge than other altcoins like ethereum, actually it is good for short term trading altcoins in ethereum classic.

In the meanwhile every other topcoin has risen dramatically. Well, lets hope that one day ETC will get his rise also.

Wish I know when that might be, any one?
Nobody knows. Today almost everything is green. ETC is one of the few exceptions that is red.

I'm guessing ETC would be crossing 0.004 BTC number very soon through a recovery, in upcoming week, as the bids are starting to get stronger than asks.

Let's see what happens.

It's all strange about ETC... So many good news, but there is nothing changes in price.
But I suppose the price will grow up in the end of September when ETH releases difficulty bomb. Mining of ETH would be less and less profitable and miners will go to alternate ethash coins - Musicoin and ETC. This will support them and price will grow up along with the difficulty, unfortunately. IMHO.

ETC already enjoyed the easy early gains.  Now it's a brutal slog uphill.  IMO the market pricing us at >>0.1 ETH is very bearish.

I think it will take years for ETH holders to finish dumping their "free" ETC (looking at you, Ethereum Vitalik Buterin Bailout Foundation).

But all of the above changes instantly upon release of a killer DAPP.  That's why I'm (mostly) hloding through this bear market.

So ETC needs the ETH difficulty bomb to increase in value ? Doesn't that bother you that ETC's value is solely dependent on ETH rather than on own developments ?

It doesn't bother them, that's why it called blind shill.

I think there are a lot of miners here, so how big DAG file for ETC now? More than ETH or same?
In the end of Sept, ETH dag file will be big for rigs with 4g memory, so i wanna know what coin this rigs will be mine. Zec,Exp or Etc ?

ETC DAG file is 2.14Gb, ETH DAG file is 2.09 Gb. It depends on epoch number. Epoch number depends on avg block time. So ETC has much less avg block time (14 sec vs. 24 sec at ETH). But we have to take in consideration the fact, that GPU memory contains not only DAG, but few different stuff for work.

IMO ethash alg is better (at least for me), because lower power consumption and noise too. For example my rig has 8 x 1060 6g has 195 H/s hashrate and 725W power consumption at ethash (with overclocking and downvolting), it's very quiet and temperature no more than 56 degrees. In equihash it has 2500 Sol hashrate and 1000W power consumption, sounds like boeing and temperature can climb up to 63-70 degrees.

So I'm very glad that mining of ethash coins has the same profitability as equihash. I hope this won't be changed in future.
